Romance › Re: Ladies, What's Your Take On Long Distance Relationship? by destante(f): 8:23pm On Sep 10, 2014
honestly I prefer it if all the issues of insecurity can be sidelined. I love the good apprehension, curiosity, distant messaging and all. They attach so much specialty to the few times we get to see.

Romance › Coming Out Half-clean by destante(op): 6:28pm On Sep 10, 2014
Okay, I didn't think I would put this up. angry But I am jes human and can be overwhelmed by my feelings at times.
The issue began when my purpose for staying on nairaland started to change. Initially, I joined this site for my interest in business, economy and fashion. Its barely 3weeks since I joined the forum and now I find myself almost irredeemably locked to the romance section only.
Then and there, the main issue! Someone put up a list of nairaland "cuties" and as a normal being, I checked the links of all them boys' profiles and there I saw this ONE whom I started to crush mildly. :-(
I thought it was just a random surge due to be soon subdued but that wasn't the case, it got stronger. I started wishing he would just get in my head, see what my thoughts are and immediately ask for my pin or my heart self. (*rme)
I believe this exposition is just one of the actions this issue has made me take. Boy please jes read my mind already and do the right thing!
Or ladies, how do I help myself get a grip and come over this. *confused.
Family › Re: I Feel So Bad For Slapping My Wife This Morning by destante(f): 3:16pm On Sep 10, 2014
I think the problem was your wife took for granted the times u spent together doing certain chores that most husbands would not do. The problems as I read usually started when u washed clothes or helped in kitchen. I admire your good "husbandlyness" but its still always wrong to beat a woman.

Romance › Re: Are All Handsome Men Gay? by destante(f): 9:09am On Sep 10, 2014
Dearie, you are who you know you are, not the opinion people form about you. If I was to form mine, having checkt your profile and found you love sports politics and family, its unlikely that you are gay. But again, that's not what matters. The only problem is a lot of people don't really know who they truly are.

***************
So I have been asking myself this question,
between man and woman who is more wiser? I
hadn't got any answer until yesterday. Let's get
to how I arrived at this answer. It all happened
like this, two weeks ago my mother came
visiting in my lodge in school. I school in Delta
state poly. My mother couldn't help noticing
how beautiful my roommate was. She had long
been suspicious of a relationship between me
and my roommate and this only made her more
curious. Over the course of the evening, while
watching my roommate and I interact, she
started to wonder if there was more between me
and my roommate. Reading my mum's thoughts,
I said; Mummy I know what you must be
thinking, but I assure you, Chioma and I are just
roommates. About a week later which was last
week, last week wednesday precisely Chioma
walked up to me and said; Ofego ever since your
mother came to visit us I have been unable to
find the business maths textbook. You don't
suppose she took it, do you? I replied; Well, I
doubt it, but I will write her a letter just to be
sure. I sat down and wrote; Dear mother, I'm
not saying you did take the business maths
textbook from my house, and I'm not saying you
did not take the business maths textbook. But
the fact remains that one has been missing
since you were here for a visit. Yesterday, I
received a letter from my mother which read;
Dear son, I'm not saying that you do sleep with
Chioma, and I'm not saying that you do not
sleep with Chioma. But the fact remains that if
she was sleeping in her own bed, she would
have found the business maths textbook by
now.

Ryabcool: *scratches head* good or bad?
blunt and reasonable.
Romance › Re: Make Your Crush Know! by destante(f): 9:55pm On Sep 08, 2014
Ryabcool: *sighs* Okay so i think i'm gonna say my mind now and i very well don't care whose ox is gored. If you're wise, you'll see sense in what i'm about to say. And if you don't agree, kindly jump past this post and continue with your vices.

Now to the matter; This crush mention thingy on a thread is very lame. If you like someone, send a freaking pm. Its very childish to start opening a thread cos of one person and letting everyone know your business.

To me, i view that if a person can open a thread calling out a crush and expressing his/her feelings towards the crush, then there is every tendency that if they start dating and there is a fight/quarrel, this same person will very likely come on nairaland to tell the world about it.

If i have a crush on someone, i send a pm straight up and start up a convo there. If she replies, all well and good. If she doesn't, i'd take it that she doesn't wanna talk and i'd move on with my life. There are many girls who are actually looking for a guy they can talk to, wouldn't it then be foolish to keep pestering a girl that doesn't have your time? You're only loosing your self-respect.

I think most of the people who open threads about a person have probably sent the crush a pm and not gotten replied, hence resorting to opening threads outta desperation.

You like someone, send a pm. How hard can it be?
wow. Jes wow.

Romance › Re: Is Sex Really The Relationship? By FUNMI AKINGBADE by destante(f): 2:54pm On Sep 08, 2014
Didnt read through completely but sex should not be seen as what keeps a marriage going. It should however not be lacking in any meaningful adult relationship. The genuine love for the other is what keeps it going but sex is just one of the many ways to express that love.
