Family / Mother Not Wanting To Pray With The Family by DestinyGlory: 10:20am On Jan 04
Hi Nairalanders,

I recently came for the Christmas holidays and I noticed that my mother does not like to pray or worship. For context, we do not leave together. My sister and I went for the cross over service in church but my mom declined saying she was tired. She also does not follow us to church services due to tiredness (note she is not currently working but helps with house chores). The biggest red flag was when I suggested we start praying together every night before we return back to our base as a family. One the first day, she was visibly upset and refused to participate in the praise and worship because we had not tidied up the house - and kept interjecting the worship saying the music was too loud; while she continued watching the TV. She participated in the prayers though. On the second day, she out rightly said she would not participate because the prayer was too late (around 1am) - and she cant be singing at 1am. This is surprising because she always says she prays for us at midnight on her own so why should waking up to pray together be a problem? During the day, she always listens to Christian messages on Youtube.

Has anyone come across something similar and how were you able to navigate?

Well I can insist you are a piece of shit too. By the way what crime did your mother commit that sent her behind bars?

Well that’s your opinion. I would not be sharing any further details on my experience.

Really i am rude? You called me ENTITLED.
Should i take your low-minded insult as a commendation?
Maybe you should learn how to read, comprehend and use wisdom in your discussions. And also stop comparing yourself to others. That silly statement made me stop reading your epistle. My regards to your mum, hope she's stronger now. I have been in a police cell for 24hrs, that experience is not savory at all.

Yeah, I still insist that you sound ENTITLED. If you can’t self-reflect on the same flaw that almost everyone on this post has pointed out, then that’s an even bigger problem. Someone contributing 100k out of 450k may be stingy (if they actually have the capacity) but not totally irresponsible. The only reason I compared myself to you is because I’ve been through a similar situation so I understand the frustration. My write-up was for you to learn from my experience but you can always chose to ignore.

Because someone chooses to air out his mind online, you begin to judge the person that he is entitled? Did you read the piece, did i beg anybody for money, or what the fúck is your problem?

I see. When most people complain they only want to vent and not necessarily seek or accept solutions to their problems - so they continue to recycle seasons of pain. Being rude to everyone that doesn’t agree with your ideology is not going to solve your problem. Hopefully you got the relief you were seeking by “airing out your mind”. smiley smiley

If i find out the girl i want to marry has a mother that has a tendency of disrespecting the husband i can never marry such a girl. Nobody can tell me that she'll be different frm her mom. 90% of the girl child are naturally stupid. They tend to copy bad behaviours faster than the good ones.

Any guy that can proudly come online to tag 90% of women as “naturally stupid” lacks respect for women, is likely abusive and is a walking red flag. The girls you’re assessing should actually run from you.

You failed to assimilate the true purpose of my message. I'm not advising or forcing OP to marry a Poor Man.

I am only pointing out the Obvious. You people should stop deceiving yourselves and also stop getting worried. There is nothing like AGAPE LOVE anymore.

Thank Goodness at your last paragraph as you have emphasized. Nothing to discuss here again.

Arguing with the Female Gender is always a futile effort.

If you think arguing with female gender is futile, then you shouldn’t have replied my post. Emotionally intelligent people understand that there is wisdom in appreciating the perspective and opinion of others regardless of their gender. I simply highlighted the part of your argument I disagreed with and shared my opinion. If “Agape Love” doesn’t exist in your reality, then that’s your version of truth - doesn’t mean it’s true. There are still good and genuine people out there who are ready to do the work and love wholeheartedly.

Lol if them ask this OP if he can DATE not even marry ooo, A determined man on 30k monthly income without degree and material things.

What you will hear is over my dead body. The thing is as a Man, I don't even like engaging the Female Gender because i know better.

What you must understand is Men have destroyed the World with their endless GREED. It is very much worse in Africa, Nigeria Exclusive. The kind of Humans in Nigeria, Most especially in recent times usually make me want to question the Source Of Creation. You must not expect to find LOVE in such place of all places.

A country where just a Single Man will destroy other Mens Lives in order for him to enjoy the good things of life and keep safe his own family.

A country where dark forces Group of Men would sit down to discuss on how to manipulate and deceive people, elevate their sufferings, etc.

I have and know Secrets of supposed people who call themselves Clerics, Pastors, Imams, Moralist, I mean those "Top People" you Gullible people usually look up to, who are heavily involved in diabolical activities and they keep destroying other peoples lives at will in order for them to keep staying afloat. Who knows, Perhaps Your Dad might even be among these Evil Men. They are the reason why everything is so difficult. Many among you are Ignorant of the happenings in the Spiritual Realm.

I'm already tired to keep on typing...Later.

AGAPE LOVE is not a thing of Joke or Mockery.

Any woman who agrees to date a “determined man” with 30k salary, no degree and no material thing without any reasonable plan in action is taking a very bad deal and will likely live in poverty - except she’s below this level or at par. Not sure a reasonable man will even take this deal.

I agree with OP. Love yourself & elevate to the best version of yourself emotionally, financially, spiritually and physically. Then attract the best mate at that level. At that level, this poverty angle you’re coming from wont even be up for discussion.

Romance / Re: Am I Gradually Becoming A Misogynist? by DestinyGlory: 3:33am On Feb 06, 2023
KlausMichaelson:
Honestly this has been bothering me for a while now. And I think that this is what is referred to as Misogyny
.
I hate the to hear or see the opinion of a female gender cos most times if not all the time, it doesn't make sense. And this realization could make me end up angry for the rest of that day. Whenever I apply logic to actually understand why they make such opinion, I find out that it's always out of emotion and not logic. They also always act before thinking (even when they think, their opinion still doesn't make sense). This is applied to all of them. None is excluded.

A typical example is the Nekede school girl who made a video saying it's the god of my pussy

I just see them as though they have no thinking faculty that is founded on logic. From the posts on social media, Whatsapp and everything. When you look at the motive and the reasoning behind it you will understand that the female gender has this shallow mindset. This is totally different from the male gender, exception to a very few. Majority of the male gender tend to have logical opinions about something.

Maybe I am too much of an observer, I really do not know. Or maybe because I am very sensitive. Sometimes I think to myself that if not that I was born by a woman, I don't see how useful they are, cos they are irritating when it comes to being logical. Try and engage them in a very intricate discussion, you will understand what I mean. The best they can do to appear intelligent is to be good at subjects in school which is always limited to the book they carry around in their school bags. And this is not intelligence.

Now my worry is that, it's affecting the way I act towards them. The worst punishment I can do to myself is to try withstand an opinion from them during arguments. That's the worst. This is giving me a second thought on whether to get married or not, as a matter of seriousness. Cos this is mentally draining to live with people like that for the rest of one's life.

It's really worrisome. Am I the only one?

Appologies if you are not ok with this. But it's just an observation I have come to learn so far so good about that gender.

Modified
One other thing I'd like to point out is that, it's not every male gender that your butts or your body (you shamelessly post on every social media page) will trigger some sort of unnecessary obsession with you. Until then, your weapon is just like a toy gun, absolutely useless. And you are probably useless if you have no logical thinking faculty.

Whether you’re right or wrong doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. I’m glad that you understand that holding your mindset and merging your life with a woman would be a huge problem. Self-awareness points for you! If you think ALL women are unintelligent and fail to apply logic, you’ll be doing yourself (and ALL women) a huge favor by not marrying.

Family / Re: Nigerian Lady Serves Husband An Empty Plate For Refusing To Help In The Kitchen by DestinyGlory: 2:56pm On Dec 27, 2022
I recently went on a date with a man who says once he gets married he won’t be expecting to enter the kitchen the way he currently does but wants to split bills with me. I prioritize flexibility, team work & ability to flex stereotypical gender roles so much in a partnership. That’s when a woman can support the home when her husband doesn’t have a job without being disrespectful. Or a man can do home chores without thinking he’s “helping” his wife but sees it as what it takes to run a home.

Anyone who has rigid ideas and expectations on how a home should run is best matched with someone who has those same exact ideas.

Romance / Re: Help!! I Have Been Masturbating For 9 Years Now by DestinyGlory: 3:24pm On Sep 16, 2020
So I decided to write an article on how I was able to conquer masturbation and pornography through God’s help. With my will power, I have battled with this addiction for over 15 years without victory. This experience has made me appreciate the scripture that says “My people perish through lack of knowledge”. When you apply the keys, addictions and problems that plague us will literally melt away.

I tried so many things to stop but nothing worked permanently. For me, my masturbation addiction was fueled by watching pornography. Hence if I could cut off pornography, I had won 70% of the battle. I show you a more excellent way - Here are the practical steps I took:

1. Covenant Eyes: I installed the mobile app “Covenant Eyes” and I literally felt the urge to watch porn melt away. The app works by installing a VPN on your phone that prevents you from accessing explicit sites. When my mind knows that I cannot physically access those sites – the urge to watch those materials significantly reduces. Another thing I did was to stay within the boundaries that this app created for me. This means that I never tried to circumvent or bypass the app. The app charges $15.99 monthly. Paying for this month is also part of the discipline. You also get an accountability partner that keeps you straight.

2. Cutting Time on Social Media: Social media (IG in particular) was another trigger for me. I have intentional cut down my time on social media to 1hr 30 mins daily. Do yourself a favor and track the amount of time spent on social media and you’ll realize how much time is wasted on surfing the internet aimlessly. I set a timer on my phone and strictly followed this restriction. This helped me a lot with discipline. If I could discipline myself with addictive social media then I can cut out other vices.

3. I am Sober: I installed the mobile app “I am Sober” to help me track my daily sobriety progress. I daily pledge to stay sober and logged my progress. The more days I accumulated, the more I didn’t want to go back. They give you rewards for each milestone you achieve and there is a community of people that post their experiences. I’ve currently exceeded the 70 days mark. On days I feel low, I read comments of people who have been sober for 6 months, 1 year and more. This serves as a huge motivation. This app is free.

4. Better Habits: I picked up more productive habits like exercising daily and reading Christian books. I read a book on “Regions of Captivity” by Anna Farrell and I got to appreciate the spiritual dimension of masturbation and addictions in general. Anything that tries to dominate your will power is certainly demonic because even God gave us our will power.

5. Praying Daily and Praying in the Spirit: We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us – including conquering masturbation. Praying daily has given me Grace and strengthened me to fight and conquer the addiction on a daily basis. My motivation to break this addiction was my love for God.

These steps greatly reduced the urge to the point that my will power could easily overcome. Please know that this is a daily fight but it gets easier each passing day.

I know a couple of people will comment that there is nothing wrong with masturbation or the post is too long but this message is not for them. This message is for people serious about breaking these chains. Please try the steps above – you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
I’ve realized that masturbation is one of the perfect tools that enemy uses to keep souls bound. For masturbation, the victim is in a perpetual helpless cycle that gives the enemy legal right to afflict.

If you are currently battling with this addiction, please know that it is a battle you can surely win. Try these steps I’ve listed above and by the Power in the Blood of Jesus, you will be set free.
