2. Cutting Time on Social Media: Social media (IG in particular) was another trigger for me. I have intentional cut down my time on social media to 1hr 30 mins daily. Do yourself a favor and track the amount of time spent on social media and you’ll realize how much time is wasted on surfing the internet aimlessly. I set a timer on my phone and strictly followed this restriction. This helped me a lot with discipline. If I could discipline myself with addictive social media then I can cut out other vices.

3. I am Sober: I installed the mobile app “I am Sober” to help me track my daily sobriety progress. I daily pledge to stay sober and logged my progress. The more days I accumulated, the more I didn’t want to go back. They give you rewards for each milestone you achieve and there is a community of people that post their experiences. I’ve currently exceeded the 70 days mark. On days I feel low, I read comments of people who have been sober for 6 months, 1 year and more. This serves as a huge motivation. This app is free.

4. Better Habits: I picked up more productive habits like exercising daily and reading Christian books. I read a book on “Regions of Captivity” by Anna Farrell and I got to appreciate the spiritual dimension of masturbation and addictions in general. Anything that tries to dominate your will power is certainly demonic because even God gave us our will power.

5. Praying Daily and Praying in the Spirit: We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us – including conquering masturbation. Praying daily has given me Grace and strengthened me to fight and conquer the addiction on a daily basis. My motivation to break this addiction was my love for God.

These steps greatly reduced the urge to the point that my will power could easily overcome. Please know that this is a daily fight but it gets easier each passing day.

Guy, it's time for u to surrender to God. Before masturbation becomes an addiction, there are demons involved. Dats y it's always easy to quit after the very first time, but once u go back to taste it d 2nd time, u'll b begging for a way out. Do this:
Confess to God, tell him u hv no power of ur own to fight this anymore.
Declare about 1 week fasting and prayer for urself (maybe 6-12). Don't just pray for forgiveness, ask God to restore u and lift u up. ask the spirit of God to come fill up ur empty life.
Pray against the demon of masturbation and pornography, cutting all ties, and breaking all covenant. pray as the spirit of God will lead u.

To start with, the bible said if the Son hall set you free, you shall be free indeed. Jesus can set you free from terrible bondage of masturbation. Dont listen to the advice of people telling you it is not a sin.

Masturbation is good, excessive masturbation is the problem here. Same goes for alcoho, you should know when to draw the line before it master you.

Step 1: stop beating yourself up to much. Remember God is a caring Father and not one who is angry at you

Step2: find your trigger... Like me, seems your trigger is porn. Delete it all from your phone and try as much as possible to avoid it like a plague

Step 3: understand that you have strated for over 10years... Don't hope it would go in one day. Measure the growth.... From 2 times a day to once a week to once in 2 weeks etc till you improve measurably

4) make up your mind not to masturbate, remember that God is watching you and the holy spirit will help you overcome, the first one month will be tough but stay away from watching porn or any thing or person that will trigger you to masturbate. Take care brethren.

I do know sometimes when I do try to quite it I would wake up with wet dreams I have had that experience about four times now in my life .

I'm actually 23 too and I masturbate twice daily most days since 2011 too and I can't say I have problem with girls even tho I'm an introvert, I actually friendzone them most times, or erection, actually after my first sex, which I didnt even enjoy, the few girls I've allowed into my life never want to leave me.
Do something meaningful( I mean no insult) with your life. Look for a skill to learn apart from school, and if you have one, use it to earn money, earning money will make you think differently. Since school close, na school I dey dey hustle, being at home and idle and probably dependent on your parents for everything you need is enough to make you think everything in your life is a problem.
