TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by detutu1: 1:40pm On Jun 06, 2016
Hello house,

I made a visit to the FedEx and UPS office in my area and to my surprise the FedEx officers were lost as to what i meant by 'prepaid courier envelope'. When i explained that i intend using it at the german consulate they said I have to bring a yellow card or something (exact words)then they will send it for me to the consulate (that didnt make any sense to me) UPS on the other hand understood my language and said it would cost me N850...I guess I will go with UPS.

My question: is the FedEx prepaid envelope limited to just the one at the consulate complex? Not that I am interested in using them at the moment just curious.

i know this huh someone said he/she registered using the portal for visa application...that, is what i addressed. I am updated tongue
honourableseyi:
Nearly everybody knows that. The online booking system people are talking about recently is the new embassy procedure for those that want to certify document or open block account at the embassy. Starting from the 1st or 2nd of June, the era of going to the embassy between Mon-Wed for certification and block account opening without appointment will be over. Get updated. Shalom

did u just advise people not to sign the depositor form? Why? I remember it was that same naija woman that attended to me the day I went to submit mine. She makes a lot of mistakes, she even collected the old form from me and I was bounced bk by DB. I letter resent without writing anything in tax ID etc and not signing depositor form and was bounced bk again and asked to sign it by DB. My guy I pray for u today
Really? This same lady checked the last page and asked why I signed it, collected my passport to check if it is the same and said 'who asked you to sign it' btw, i am not saying they will not sign it eventually they will when they get to the consulate..I am saying do not sign it before hand besides, when you see a blank space why not ask why you are not signing in that space as well? undecided my tax id if filled and your prayers are appreciated. I have not dealt with her before but as @futurewise11 has said she makes mistakes I hope mine isnt one of them
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by detutu1: 4:32pm On May 31, 2016
Everyone do not sign the last page of your blocked account form i.e. the depositor's form. Unlike what @painpill suggested to sign it, the lady that attended to me asked me why i signed it... thank God it was not the white lady...God knows what would have happened. I REPEAT!!! do not sign the last page!

Again, are people getting appointments for June? June seems so close huh You can only use or the email method for student visa. check:http://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_realmList.do?locationCode=lago&request_locale=en

Please note

Immigrant / Long term Visa (staying more than 90 days), only for studying at German universities: please send an email to student@lago.diplo.de requesting a student visa appointment. You MUST attach your admission letter from the university, the proof of your financial means as scanned copies and a copy of your passport data page. The next available appointment will be allocated and an email sent to you.
this is information from their page.

Please people lets read well...the information was stated clearly. We are going to read/study I don't see why we should not start now.

Thank you. I have applied to and got the admission letters from both schools. They both offer basically the same package. The cost of living in Bamberg is just a tad cheaper. But then again, the town is smaller. Sent an e-mail to the school registrar too, waiting for his reply. Would be nice if anyone had some information about the standards of living of both towns, though...
Now I get where you are coming from. Cheaper is relative based on how you live. Wait for a response from the schools bearing in mind that time is going and the "rush" is here...so I 'll advise being realistic in your decision. Paderborn isn't as expensive as some towns...you do know we can't decide for you. This is something you have to do on your own... smiley

Hi everyone. I have got admission letters from Paderborn and Bamberg for the 2016 Winter Sermester. However, Bamberg stated on the admission letter that I need to submit my certificate before the Summer of next year or my enrollment will be null and void. I only have the Statement of Result and my school's college secretary said the school is not likely going to issue the certificate anytime soon. Which leaves Paderborn. The school has made no mention of the Statement of Result not being sufficient unlike Bamberg but I do not want any suprises later. Could someone please give me their opinions?
You might want to weigh your options...what are the courses offering? What advantage does one have over the other...if getting a document will be a problem for now, you can apply for admission at paderborn and change afterwards once you get the certificate . Again I think looking for a way to get the certificate before you travel is very important and safer. Just think about it. All the best

Thank you...I actually read the thread..that is what I first did because I try as much as possible to avoid insults in whatever manner... Thanks for not asking the already obvious question (I read through) and I know exactly the information I needed clarification on. I am a lady not a 'bruh'
Painpill:
I'll hate to be the guy that asks if you've read the thread. So I'll chip in on the questions I saw.

5. Fill on pc(Its now clearly written on the form) and print two sets(or print one in black n white and photocopy the second set so they'll look alike, all depends on how much rubs u have in your wallet)

6. Just sign that page. I made two trips to the consulate cos of this cos Daniella Ruff claimed I didn't sign mine.

2* We are still viewing this requirement in 3D. Whatever happens, it shouldn't be an ish. I'm sure you wrote tonnes already before getting to this phase.

3* Was ist dashuh

For your other questions, read my first 22 words smiley Ciao!

*modified* I see futurewise has done it your style. All the best bruh.
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by detutu1: 12:34am On May 28, 2016
Thanks a lot! Very clear now... God bless you plenty
futurewise11:
1) You dont need to pay into the account before you book for you appoimtment.

2)Sop is Sop.it encompases all you have listed above.Purpose of your journey and why you are a genuine student applying for study purpose only.

3)There is a contact on the admission letter, if the authencity of the letter is in doubt they will contact the school.Infact some school admission letter is computer generated, hence no signature. So dont worry about it.

4) You need another insurance when you start enrolment here.Your insurance from home country is not accepted in schools here.In my opinion AOK is better.
5)The colour of the pen does not matter.just fill it legibly. You can fill the form online, with pen and any colour.

6) You can transfer the money from anywhere.its samething.Open the account, get account details and forward it to whoever is funding the account.Leave the rest to the bank.

7)The choice is yours. But one way is allowed for student.

cool Still the same format.

TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by detutu1: 9:30pm On May 26, 2016
Please I need clarity on certain issues. I have read the 2nd thread and the 3rd thread...going through the very first thread atm.

1. I am confused between two ways of booking a student visa appointment. Some people said to use the slip that you are given when you open the blocked account to book an appointment then transfer the money much later. Others say pay into the account before you book with the confirmation from the bank...which is advisable?

2. The recent hand written SOP on the checklist what is the focus? Most SOP I know 'll explain what they want you to tell them...who has successfully written one and gotten a visa? Are we explaining why they should give us a visa? Or why we want to study that course? Or what we hope to achieve by studying that course...how long/how many words?

3. I am aware that the pdf acceptance letter print out 'll do for the opening of a blocked account...but who knows if it ll be acceptable if the signature isnt complete due to screen boundaries? I need answer on this ASAP

4. For insurance, I understand it is for 3months...the subsequent months have to be done by mavista? Or you can buy from a nigerian insurance company for two years? Please advice...all I have seen is the 3months insurance no mention of the health insurance during study (2years) or it isn't needed?

5. For the forms (blocked account) by "filled forms?" does it mean you have to fill in ink or fill one in ink then make copies? Then i hope black and white print out is acceptable? There was no specification on this ...gurus in the house please respond

6. The Depositors form that goes with the form. How 'll one go about it if the sponsor will transfer directly from a foreign country? Scan the signed document - extremely clueless about this...nobody talks about this particular form.

7. For tickets which is advisable one way or round trip?

8. Are interview questions in line with course of study or general questions read on tourist visa questions in Thread 1 nothing yet here

Please answer the questions if you have responses to them it 'll be highly appreciated. Thank you or "Danke" as I have learnt in the thread grin
TravelRe: Ghana Migration. by detutu1: 5:04pm On May 13, 2016
Following....

My take though is that since Ghana is an ECOWAS state...Nigerians are allowed to stay for 60 days I think(Not sure in particular). You can visit the country look for a job and process the whole thing...I am sure if either one of you gets a job..the rest is history. You might want to check for specific requirements on the internet as well...all the best!

Lol...I have not been there but I believe the people who are there are human. It is a French speaking pronvince and the visa application has an extra stage to it BUT learning a new language should not be a problem and getting a job like I read on this same platform won't be a problem.

Personally, I think the important thing is to get admitted...we are human, we 'll always adapt wink
