What you are suggesting only works if it's a simple object such as this:
{"Firstname": Brenda, "Lastname": Colby}
With this I wouldn't have needed to map anything. I would have just typed
<h2>{users.firstname}</h2>

It won't work for the kind of object I was retrieving data from, that had nested arrays and objects.

Hi guys. I've been trying to render information from an API but I keep getting errors. My goal is to render the information along with a button that changes the page once clicked.

The information is an object that has an array of objects within it.

Below is the screenshot of the code along with sreenshot of the data I want to fetch. I want to be able to render all the information from the data within the h2 tags.

With arrays, it's straightforward cos all I have to do is map the data from the users but with objects it is more complicated.

Please I'll really appreciate if anyone can provide some help

After corruption and bad leadership, Nigerian parents are the next cause of Nigeria's problem today. They are all myopic, close-minded and very naive. Their thinking is stuck in the 1980s and 1990s.

While I was growing up, almost every Nigerian parent wanted their kids to be either doctors or lawyers. The two most useless professions in this country. Which Nigerian parent had the foresight to see that computer science would be as usefully as it is today? Still even today, they are still blinded to this fact.

Computer science was so easy to get then, yet it was frowned upon, and tagged as a course for people who weren't smart enough to get into medicine, law or engineering. But today it is the most valuable course anyone can study. I swear if I could go back in time I'll apply for computer science in Unilag just after finishing secondary school, then get a laptop and start coding from day one.

In terms of videos yes because it's expensive to push out video content but if you are talking about written programming content then Nigerians write a lot. I can't count how many times I have gotten stuck and I went online to read and it's an article written by a fellow Nigerian that helped me. Yours truly has even written down some programming articles. If the resources were there, I am sure making video content won't be a problem for Nigerians.

I don't agree. Lots of Nigerians make videos on YouTube and social media. Just type Amazon KDP or fake paypal or anything related to money. Videos choke. One Nigerian YouTuber even did a two hour video on how to plagiarize books and publish on Amazon.

You will almost never see Nigerians making videos on coding. I'm not even talking about long ass 6 hour videos on "Java for beginners" Just ordinary short videos on tech stack a beginner should learn, or how to do use a technology like axios or even ordinary vscode. You will never see this kind of video from Nigerians. All you see is skits, get rich quick schemes and showoff(money for guys, body for females)

The resources are there, there is just no market for it. Those articles you read aren't from social media are they? And even if so, they are particularly targeted to those already in the field as opposed to the general public.

You hardly see Nigerians teaching coding or talking about programming related stuff on on social media, especially on Youtube. This is because this is actually a legit way to be a successful person and it involves a lot of hard work, determination and consistence.

Nigerians only like to propagate get rich schemes and fraudulent stuff like plagiarizing books to post on Amazon or some rubbish Ponzi scheme. The common thread that links all these is that they don't involve much work and all you have to do is just do the little, then sit and wait for money to start pouring into your account. I admit there are a tiny minority of people who make money from these, but it's usually for a short period of time until it crashes or they get banned from Amazon, or get arrested, but the majority of people don't get shit, rather they jump from one get rich scheme to the other until they realize they've wasted their time.

Programming will never be saturated with competent programmers especially in this country because majority of people don't have the discipline and delligence to actually become competent programmers.

For the past month I've not been on social media. I deleted my Twitter, Facebook Tiktok, Instagram and vowed to never check status on WhatsApp because that's a very huge distraction. I only use Nairaland and Reddit, particularly for programming related information. I deleted every movie from my laptop and haven't watched TV for weeks.

Nigerians are very lazy and are addicted to quick gratification and this works in the favor of programmers who are serious, because it reduces the competitiveness of the job market.

I created this thread because I've finally arrived at an answer to the question I've been having for the past month. What languages should I focus on to get jobs as a beginner developer.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but the answer I've gotten is making me lean a bit in that direction regarding this subject.

For the past 3 years, social media has been pervaded with lies about the technologies that gives a beginner an advantage in the current job market, especially for those who are self taught.

I've done my research and these are the in demand technologies locally and abroad.

For Frontend:

Reactjs (Redux -Nextjs - Gatsby)
Typescript.
For styling: Tailwind

For Backend:
Nodejs,
PHP with laravel framework
Java with Springboot frame work.
On few occasions I see some ASP.net and Ruby on rails, but the highlighted are the ones that always come up.

For Data Bases: Postgresql and MySQL

On freelance sites, the most in demand language is PHP and I see lots of jobs needing wordpress, magento, drupal and shopify knowledge.

But when you go on social media, everyone will tell you to learn basic HTML CSS and JavaScript as if any company would employ anyone that knows just that. Even learning basic react without any added frameworks is not enough for a front end developer.

The worst is those that tell you to learn Python. I almost never see any Jobs for Python, whether it's the Django framework or Flask. Most jobs in python are in Data science and Machine learning, and you have to be a data scientist or advanced mathematician to work in those fields.

The amount of gatekeeping and lies is astounding. Everyone says PHP is dead, yet, one in every three jobs I see requires PHP.
Four in every five freelancer jobs require PHP.

The only reason I'm even learning Python is just to use in it in solving data structures and algorithms and I won't use it beyond that. I don't have time to start learning Java as I'm preoccupied with JavaScript for frontend and backend, along with DSAs and some PHP laravel. In the future I'll pick it up.

Programming isn't saturated, it's just filled with clueless, incompetent people with half-baked skills who haven't done the right research.

3. Analysis and Design of the above 'Requirements Gathered' learn on YouTube
4. Coding - Front-End - Learn these on YouTube HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery - Then learn a JavaScript Framework like react or any other of your choice.
Server-Side - Learn and master one server-side language like PHP or C# ASP.Net or any other of your choice for the web
Back-End - Learn and master SQL and JOINS for MySQL or MSSQL
5. Learn the different types of loops on YouTube and when to use them.
6. Learn OOP on YouTube
7. Learn Unit testing on YouTube
8. Learn Source Control on YouTube - GIT and GitHub
9. Learn how to host the server-side you have chosen on YouTube
10. Advance: Learn CI/CD on YouTube
11. Develop a web application say a forum or shopping cart and put the link on your CV as you portfolio, this will help you to find a job

You only need a book today for uni assignments and projects as they want you to quote from a book.

I think these are all you need if there are anything missing I will update the list

All my working experience I have never submitted my school credentials, even my current job.

It depends on the company policy, and most times they will just need your personal information, and grantors information, NIN etc

But you have to be good in what you do, and master a particular language so that you can stand out
