Awo - the man Who saw tomorrow. The only visionary/selfless leader Nigeria and yorubas ever had. |
Mr Gani Fawehinmi was an enigma. And his shoes were too big to be filled by our new crop of human rights activists. If Gani can stand up to tyranny during the military days, I wonder why it is hard to do so during our current Democratic dispensation. |
Simon Kolawole is a fool, let him face the numerous challenges battling his region, and allow the ibos to fight their battles. He will never be appreciated for this, he will rather be abused and maligned. Let him learn from what they did to Prof Soyinka and others. These people should stop crying more than the bereaved. There are a lot of ills he can write about in the west if he is having itches to write. |

If political assassinations are these rife now, then what is going to happen during election period ![]() |
TabletMan:Go to the north and see for yourself, no rely on dem say dem say. Re-read what i posted, this time slowly, and who told you yorubas don't trade, who told you there are no yorubas in S/G, who told you trading is the only occupation in kano. Most of the ibos that has been to Kano stayed in S/G, so it is easy for them to conclude on the population of igbos vs yorubas going by what they see in S/G, but they are wrong. Leave your enclave, move around, kano is big. Visit places like mariri, samiya boka, hotoro, nassarawa, anguwa uku, ibrahim taiwo, fagge, kabuga, kurna, brigade, sabon titi, gyadi gyadi, hadeija road, and a lot of other areas and see the teeming yoruba population there. We stay with the host, we don't segregate. You guys have to stop this blatant lies, it wouldn't change the facts on ground. Done replying quotes. |
realhumanity:If you stay in kano as you claim then you yourself know you are lying. Yorubas stays in all areas in kano, and they work in almost all the sectors and they trade too. Our pattern of settlement anywhere suggests that we fear nothing from our host, unless maybe in the east. We don't need any sabon gari anywhere else in the world. You wouldn't know yoruba houses since we are not restricted to build in a certain place, so we build all over. Your everyday life all across the state you meet the yorubas, in hospitals, as doctors, nurses, care givers, in banks as bankers e.t.c , in schools as teachers/lecturers, students, etc. In the construction companies, talk about Oil business in hotoro. In the market, go to kofar wombai, s/g market, kori markets, e.t.c and see them. Go to the schools too, ibo life in kano is all about sabon gari, the vicinity and trading in markets. Yorubas are way more than igbos in the kano and the north entirely. |
deji15:You are welcome, that guy is a bold face liar. There is no place in the north that the igbos are up to half of the yorubas population wise. Ebiras will be dragging population with them in a place like kano sef. |
deji15:Don't believe the crap that guy is spewing, anybody that has been to kano before knows that his claim is a blatant lie. The only area the igbos are dominant in kano is sabon gari and you will find yorubas and other tribes there too in large quantities. Areas like Naibawa, hotoro, ungwan uku, kurna asabe, gyadi gyadi, kabuga, and alot of other areas are teeming with yorubas. Same with their higher institutions too. That guy is just a bloody liar. Yorubas are way more than igbos both in the city and environs. |

A governor stole, his identity was concealed. An innocent security man doing a risky job, they did not deem it fit to protect his identity. Where is the sense. Or na him want the five minutes fame. |
Hmmm, the kind of evil some people are capable of will surprise even the devil, especially when they feel they are untouchable. |
Poor services and poor customer relation are the bane of most businesses in this country. So those that might have urgent matters to attend to in their destination would be f_ed up. |
These soldiers barbaric acts need to be curb, and there is need for serious reorientation for them to stop looking down on civilians. |
No more regional stigmatization in kidnapping, na baby factory, ritual killings, drug deals etc remain to go fully national. One backward Nigeria. |
No be small cash flow, Police officers and Military men will be hustling to be posted to the east, especially around this Yuletide period. |
I don't know about PMB winning 2019 election if he decides to contest but GEJ deciding to contest is him courting disgrace. As for Atiku, I doubt if he will ever be able to wash himself clean of the corruption king stigma OBJ and Boys Ltd tag him with. |
Interesting read. It was Gowon that released Awo from prison. |
Interesting read, I believe this will help entrepreneurs in shaping and adjusting their policies, terms and conditions. |
The people. |
Damn, if this is true then things are spinning out of hand fast. A permanent stop must be put to this by all means possible across the country. |
LOL, husband and wife hugging after settling their rift. |
This is rich |
Heartless |
I wonder what happens if everybody starts practising group economy. I'm waiting to see where sophistication will lead Yorubas to. |
If this is true then Nigerians are in for a very rough and tough year. |
Practising what one preaches seems to be the hardest thing to do. Pele. |
maestroferddi:You definitely will have nothing to say, this is beyond you, you have been basing your argument on the lies your brothers has been feeding you. I'm done with this topic. Peace. |
maestroferddi:You definitely will have nothing to say, this is beyond you, you have been basing your argument on the lies your brothers has been feeding you. Peace. |
maestroferddi:I will let the name calling to slide, Kano metropolis is not made up of sabon gari alone, go to gyadi gyadi, hotoro, mariri, ungwa uku, kabuga, rigiyar zaki, kurna, dorayi, brigade, pashinkara, samiya boka and even your glorified sabon gari and other areas to numerous to mention and see the population of Yorubas residing there, Yorubas integrate into the host society so it makes them almost invincible. Use Yoruba language to insult a stranger wearing kaftan or hijab in the north and get the shock of your life. Go to wudil, bichi, rano and other neighboring towns and see the population of Yorubas there compared with Ibos. Kaduna, Zaria and other parts of the north are not even worth debating or going back and forth on. Guy, try to travel around and stop relying on bogus claims. |
Go to Potiskum, Nguru, Maiduguri, Yola, Mubi and other towns in the north east and see if the population of the Yorubas are not thrice more than the Ibo population there. Guys arguing should travel extensively to cure their ignorance. Relying on them say, them say is very dangerous. |
