Those claiming that Ibos are more populous than the Yorubas in the north are either being mischievous or ignorant, go to all the higher institutions starting from ABU to KADPOLY, BUK, KANOPOLY, UDUS, ATBU and all other higher institution in the north and compare the numbers of Ibo students to Yoruba students, you will discover that the Yoruba students are higher by atleast 10 to 1. Even the Ebiras and Igalas are more populous than the Ibos in the north. In Jos, the Ogbomoshos alone are more populous than the Ibo population in the city, in kaduna, the Offa people are more populous than the entire ibo in the State. Go to Katsina, Zamfara, Kano, Bauchi, Sokoto, Hadeija, Dutse and other towns too numerous to mention and see the Yoruba population in those states. The only states the Yoruba avoid is south east, I don't know why though. Even the ebiras and igala have more population in the north compare with the ibos, but they mix well with there host community so u might never know. Those comparing the population of ibos to Yorubas in the north are those that has never been to the north before. Their population difference is to wide for it to be a basis for debate or argument. |

He is definately man of the decade. Just goes to show what perseverance and being focus can achieve. |
What he said makes sense. There are true and experienced politicians. And there are emergency or lucky politicians. This guy is the former. |
Impressing your message on the losers is just a waste of time, they know the truth, they are just being bitter. Southwest is not a region that can be herd like goats as evident from the voting pattern in the region in the just concluded election. SW and MB individuals voted on personal convictions, not following a one way reasoning. The other regions should sort themselves and start thinking of what is best for the country and not basing there judgement on sentiments and personal vendetta. |
Aribisala has gone AWOL. |
bakila:I appreciate you seeing things as I do. |
onatisi:Naso. I hope so too. Things can't continue this way. |
onatisi:Yeah, I agree with you on this but things can only get better when there is a stiff competition among competing members. I expect a better competition among parties in 2019. We are getting there minus the violence. Violence is still a huge turn off. |
tolexy007:You are right about the violence, but violence coming into the picture is due to selfishness and lack of sportmanship on the part of the politicians, and ignorance and joblessness on the part of the masses. I believe with time we will get to a time when election violence will be a thing of the past. Election violence should be condemned and campaigned against though, it is barbaric and archaic. |
Nobleval:I had the same mindset until I read the book. Just get a copy and read, it is very deep and thought provoking. And the theme was based on events before and after europeans came in contact with africans. Every society had and still has its primitive side. It won't be a waste of time if you read it, I can promise you that. Shalom. |
I prefer this year's election to 2011's, it is good to see both the ruling party and the opposition on their toes. This is how an election period should be, uncertainty on who the winner is going to be, not a situation where everyone would have known who the winner is a year before election. |
Nobleval:Funny Grab a copy of the book and read before asking me such primitive question Mr. |
Ishilove:'HOW EUROPE UNDERDEVELOPED AFRICA' is a book all africans must read. |
Only a jonathanian regime will outsource a national security contract to a militant and keep a straight face about it. And only a PDPian will see nothing wrong with that. Evil men do not neccessarily look mean. Imagine the havoc this man can wreck wit such war machines in his fleet. Well, election is almost here, watching in 3D. |
I believe this NOI poll is pro government, so just multiply the 14 point decline by 2 to get the real picture of our far down JEG ratings has plummeted. |
explorer250:You guys always play the victims in every situation, so I aint surprise. You always see yorubas as your adversary so enjoy the delusion while it last. No enlightened yoruba will support your baseless claim. You have one vote so use it judiciously. Shalom |
explorer250:Oh, so you did not know you brought tribal sentiment into it when you insinuated that yorubas were seizing you guys' goods and auctioning it off without any proof to back up your claim. Reread your first post. And tell me who the illiterate is. Mumu |
I'm not surprised by all these gibberish, back and fro defending of GEJ by the OP, if a set of people can stage #ABACHA mukaiso, then people can do worse. The OP admitted that JEG government is corrupt but to him that is no big deal since Nigeria is already known as a very corrupt Nation, and JEG seems to be just a bit more corrupt than his predecessors so we should continue to manage him for the next four years. If Buhari become the president by 2015, there are some people that will defend his every action either good or bad, and I won't be surprise if majority of such people are from the east. People should not be surprised by actions of people like the OP, his people are known to defend any government in power. I only take praise singers from, SS, SW, and the north serious. |
Let's just hope the money will be use for the intended purpose. I don't want to hear in the nearest future that half of the money is missing, cuz that is the trademark of the present administration. |
Had JEG being a good president this your long boring post would not have been neccessary. It is not about GMB's age, it is about seeing GMB as a lesser evil. You need to check out the corruption and avoidable death rate in this present administration, Nigerians deserve better. |
Visit military barracks to cure your ignorance. |
This is disheartening, something drastic need to be done about this piracy wahala. It is ruining the movie industry. I pity the guy, dem just wan crash him dreams and aspirations. |

Buhari is the only APC candidate that can get a block vote of both NW and NE. SW and NC is up for grabs between APC and PDP. Though I believe Buhari failed in polishing his image as a religion fanatic and bigot. Doubt if I will cast my vote for him. He needs to do a lot. We need an anti-corruption crusader in Nigeria. |
Ten years ![]() Have Nigerians experience one year of peace since independence? I don't know why it is so hard for us to rule ourselves. This is what you get when selfishness and difference in vision is the bedrock of a society. |
This is what happens when a deadly scourge is handled with a political glove. |
Hmmm, let me calculate the number of wraps of mj I will be able to smoke after a good meal ![]() |
One party system will be disastrous, there will be no check and balance in governance. I think APC will be naïve if they believe PDP will be glad to lose their hold on the country, PDP is fighting dirty which is expected, what is not expected is APC thinking otherwise. So let APC man up and up their game. |
GenBuhari: Why would Abacha turned down all IMf loans offered to him. That doesn't change the fact that he was a dictator and brought sorrow, tears and blood to the homes of a lot of people. He stifled freedom of press, assassinated a lot of people. What was the use of foreign reserve when the people in the country were suffering. The fear of Abacha was the beginning of wisdom then, can anybody dare abuse Abacha the way JEG is being abused today, u know the answer. Abacha's despotic rule was a black spot in our history. He was not all bad though, infact nobody is all bad in this world. There are always times when bad people carry out act of goodness. But that doesn't make them good people. |
Music is now a step towards achieving bigger things and loftier dreams. Kudos. |
