I think you asked the wrong question. It should be what language should I start with, because basically, android programming is Java and web programming could be Java, PHP, ASP etc... 19 Likes 1 Share |

Next time do well to restrict the biological thing to your family and not blacks generally...besides, it's clear you did not understand the message. |

Thegeneralqueen:It's understandable you do not depict tones from sentences as the only thing you get to understand is pain and violence as is obvious from the comment you make to the general public. Young woman, you cannot give what you don't have, pray for peace. Your type must have suffered a lot of child abuse, it's a pity. Forgive yourself and move on. |

AyamConfidence:Women are strong in their own ways, men are strong in their own ways. You don't compare a defender to an attacker in the same team, they are built differently and function differently. People like you compare Ronaldo to Messi |

Flickzvill:It's a nice blog I must say but it's not different from others. What makes you think you can be doing what everybody is doing and expect to be seen differently?? Besides, that user interface is complicated, when I opened it, my eyes got distracted with colours and layouts. When your eyes are distracted, your mind gets scattered as well and the next thing you do is avoid whatever it is that caused it - which leads to leaving the site. Oh yes, it's it a rich and beautiful site, but think about this, do you think nairaland.com does not have what it takes to be rich and beautiful, yet they chose a simple layout mobile and desktop wise. You want to be seen differently, right? Then think of different ways of doing things, this will surely give you different results and I assure you, you will be unique. 1 Like |

Superbo155:What I mean is that your texts and images are left aligned, in CSS this is the default alignment for block and in-line elements, I'd prefer you justify texts and particularly centralize images. Your site renders well on mobile but has these "inaesthetics" per se on desktop view. Since you will have no control over the platform your visitors would use to access your site, I'd suggest you do what I just recommended, as it will render well on both desktop and mobile platforms. Lastly, on desktop, your site keeps issuing an unusual Javascript alert/notification. This is unnecessary and I assure you, it will pursue visitors from your site. Worst still, once the alert/notification is OK'd, your site goes blank and cannot be accessed for a particular session, I don't know how long. You should fix that as well and as soon as possible. |

Emelcee:Two things; 1. Learn how to code or 2. Post VERY quality contents. 1. This will help you discern any design and layout that is quite different from others. An analogy is going to one restaurant everyday, you get used to it and would want to try a different restaurant, that is how the human mind works, that is what user interface does, it is the view of your application and if it is different from convention, you stand a chance of standing out. This little thing matters a lot and if combined with quality posts is a bang. 2. You already know this. The "VERY" there means, if you are going to use the conventional design and blog layout, to stand out, you need to work harder and post quality contents. But on the overall, it's a nice blog design and your concentration on Akwa-Ibom is smart but do not think of changing this if you grow eventually. Akwa-Ibom it is, Akwa-Ibom it must remain even at super growth. 1 Like |

Emelcee:Blog is nice, but I must say it is very conventional... Nothing makes it stand out from most blog design and layout and I guess you want to stand out. Thing is, if you have many bloggers on this niche, then your selling point would be the quality of your content, without which your blog just stands NORMAL. My advice to bloggers is to learn coding so that you structure design and layout of your blog while considering simplicity and user accessibility and not to use predefined structure already in mass usage by bloggers alike. |

Superbo155:Nice, but you could have at least centralized your latest updates and even the images in the posts when you open the links. CSS can handle that. |

rodeo0070:1. Beautiful blog design 2. Poor domain name (as most people may not get the spelling of your site) 3. Beautiful blog layout but complex user interface 4. 3 above results in accessibility issues by users. Conclusion You have a beautiful blog, but the most important thing is how users see your blog and access it. If accessibility and complexity is simple, then users will head towards the services you offer. See nairaland.com and facebook.com, simple layout, simple design, easy to use and domain name can b spelt easily even by a child. Overall rating: Design 10/10, Layout 10/10, Domain name 4/10, Complexity 9/10, User Accessibility 4/10. 4 Likes |
Nairaland / General / Good Things In Life Are Free by dexterautonomy(m): 1:08pm On Mar 31, 2018 |
I once heard that "the good things in life are free". Talk about the sun - source of energy, air - source of life, earth - source of food, emotions - source of reason, and the likes but please, don't mention water (from where I'm from, water is not free at all, we pay to drink. Thank you for your understanding). Now, because these things are free, not only are their values neglected but they are "conspicuously non-existent", figuratively speaking. This by extension has affected or should I say is part of the human psychology. Humans cannot actually estimate the value of something that is free because it's "irrelevant" to do such, and somehow they attach a characteristic "cheap" price tag/evaluation to their subconscious as regards the value of such "free things". As the saying goes, cheap things are not good and good things are not cheap, I'll leave you to infer to that. It is not entirely a bad thing, it's just human nature and it is not about not giving what belong to kings to pigs, no, it's about being human. These "free things" could be goods or services, ideas and/or solutions, assistance or what have you, of varying magnitude/capacity. This single act has in essence created the culture of ingratitude. It is also true that humans do not easily forget the things they paid to get and attach more value to things as such they paid for. Like the saying goes, if you want people to appreciate you for what you have done, let them pay for it. This statement is bi-faceted and true in all respects. So, am I saying we charge for everything we do? No, not really, but saying something that has worth does and it's either we chose to let go completely or charge in full for it. For instance, the reason why there is so much wickedness and man's inhumanity to man is because air and particularly oxygen - needed to sustain life - is free, so actually it is not regarded nor appreciated. Now, imagine paying daily for this air-of-life. There will be this certain consciousness and more time will be accrued towards making the best off of it. You know the rest, well at least, if for nothing, "humans do not easily forget the things they paid to get and attach more value to things as such they paid for". I can continue on health, physical pain, death etc and a whole lot of consciousness these put on the human mind. They all come with a price tag/evaluation that forces one to think, I wish I can be well again, I wish I feel no pains anymore and.....and..... I wish I can come back to life, respectively. But for the latter, it's quite late. Now, when you live life like you pay for the air you breathe, you have no time thinking of the other to kill. |
