the bible says in deuteronomy 22:5 that "a man shall not wear wat pertains to a woman, neither shall a woman put on a man's garment, for all that do so are abomination to the lord". if u read further, there are several laws there, like we should not sow seeds of divers in the same land, we should not sow clothes of wool and linen combined together. but funny enough today, so many religious people obey the 1st part of not wearing a man's garment and forget about the rest.
the bible did not make mention of trouser(take note). it said man's garment and woman's garment. today we think that trousers are meant for men, but we should forget that we also have women's trousers. that is a woman's garment. even in the time this law was given. wat did the israelites wear? they wore clothes like skirts(for men). if u have watched jesus of nazareth, wat garment did he wear? it looked like a long gown( today thats for women). so was that a sin?
so my friends, trouser is not the issue, but the issue is in obeying the totality of God's word. let me tell u here that this law was meant for the nation of isreal in the 1st place and not for the gentiles. till today, if they truelly want to obey God, they must follow those laws. dont so many people today sow garments of divers materials? dont so many people plant different kinds of seeds in one plot of land? so why dont they obey this laws too?
