FORMER Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, is being prepared to be flown back to Nigeria from the United Kingdom, where she has been receiving treatment for cancer, to visit the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) pastored by Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua.
According to the International Business Times, the embattled former petroleum minister receiving treatment for breast cancer is making the return to seek spiritual healing. A source said she asked to be returned to the country after her condition deteriorated.

“They have decided to fly her back into the country tomorrow (Friday) to seek for spiritual help. The condition worsened last weekend and she personally asked the family to return her to the country. She has not tasted any solid food since last Monday. She did not speak throughout Thursday. When she eventually spoke Friday morning, she ordered them to return her to the country to visit Prophet T. B Joshua for prayers,” the family source stated.

In a related development, the Lagos State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed its sympathy and solidarity support to the church founder over the building collapse that occurred last year, killing over a hundred worshippers.

In a letter signed by the council president, I.A. Adelekan, it said: “We believe the man of God has touched the lives of many Nigerians morally, financially and spiritually without respect to ethnicity or religion. We sympathise with you and are calling on the Lagos State government to seek foreign assistance to unravel the mystery surrounding the collapse of the building.”

A pastor of the Living Faith Church, otherwise known as Winners Chapel, Seyi Adekunle, who was kidnapped on Saturday, June 13 by gunmen, has been released.

A source in church who confided in THISDAY said the pastor was taken by his abductors to a spot in one of the outskirts of Calabar at midnight of Saturday and let go.

The source said the kidnappers asked the pastor to go after dropping him and from the spot Adekunle traced his way back to the church while other pastors were keeping vigil praying for his freedom.

The release of the pastor was confirmed by the chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Pastor Lawrence Ekwok.

However, Ekwok did not state whether any ransom was paid for the pastor’s release.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of the Cross River State Police Command, Mr. Hogan Bassey , disclosed that the arrest of two suspects possibly led to the release of the pastor.

Arik AIR has now joined the league of high levelled scammers using their online ticketing e-payment platform. As at today 23.05.15 Arik cancelled all flight in the country after collecting money from its passengers. All Arik staff were not on their desk to even explained or refund the passenger's money.

Arik management has been on fire by FAAN for not paying alot of their dues, they have not paid their staff for about 2 months now, now they are his this platform to milk people's money.

I was in the office yesterday in the morning and discovered that our power which we normally get in the morning till about 3Pm wasn't on. I asked one of my staff go to a near by PHCN office to complain.

On getting there, he saw that the gates were under lock and key. He then tried to ask the reason behind the lock, to his amazement, an Army personnel told him that KADUNA PHCN are on 3 days warning strike due to nor payment of salary for 3 months.

I was shocked when I heard that. I had heard before that the PHCN company was bought by our out going vice president.

Now since Monday 4th May, 2015, Kaduna state has been on total blackout. The generator sellers are smiling to the bank and I had to buy a new generator hence my inverter need to be charged.

If this phcn privatization is becoming a set back, I think the incoming government needs to look into the issue and it has degenerated since it's privatization.
