Africans with power drunk mentality. if this was a civilized country, the president would had resigned. For now the Ag President is just trying to calm things down. He doesn't have all the power cos he would had by now devolved the cabinet and reorganize it to world best practice.

Madam Aisha, please don't lose your dear husband to mere seat that ll last less than 2 years! That presidential sit is a death roll.

A word is enough for the wise.... president Buhari please do the needful by resigning

PoliticsOne Million Man Rally For The Resignation Of President Buhari by DeZoro(op): 11:32pm On May 11, 2017
There is a sketchy information from Kaduna and Abuja reaching us that some group of people mainly youth from the North are organizing a one million man rally for the resignation of President Mohammadu on health ground.

It is observed that their agitation was bored from the frequent health issues of the President which is affecting progress of the nation.

The said planned rally which is suppose to take place on 27th May 2017 both in Kaduna and Abuja.

These group of people are reaching out to other bodies of concern to join in this rally.

President Buhari has been critically ill since he assumed office as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Under the watch of the president, the giant of Africa has been in recession for the past one and half years.

Can this rally really solve the issue?

El-rufai is a total committed loyah servant. Anyone who tells you that your mouth smell is a truthful person. It has come to a level when we tell each of us the truth. This letter should be re dated and submitted to the President.

A lot of Buhari loyalist are just watching him fail to the ground and perhaps deceiving him not to communicat to the public because they have hidden agenda.

Anyways, just as the Hausa have said, if Buhari was their best, it means they are fools!!

Baba, my candid advice is that you set a new record to be the first seating president in Africa to resign from office. Sir, don't tell anyone, just write a 2 lines sentence. " I Mohammadu Buhari, president of the federal Republic of Nigeria hereby resign due to health ground." Thank you.

I bet you, you will be honoured for life...

PoliticsFirst Massive Nationwide Protests On The 5th Of February, 2017 by DeZoro(op): 10:41pm On Jan 23, 2017
A call for good governance.

A call for urgent explanation into the reckless economic downturn nationwide.

A call for nationwide protests as we say No to the Executive, No to legislatures, No to judiciary... You have all failed us.

We the people are tired. We can no longer continue with all of you. All your excuses and mistakes are not funny. We do not wish to continue with a system and government that is not working but afflicting the people. We the people of this country not living under the privileges of government allowances and remuneration have now accepted to take the bull by the horn to come out and protest this obnoxious and baseless policies and excuses of the government of the day.

Where are the recovered looted funds?

Why do we still have the executive arms and legislatures still enjoying their salaries and allowances while we hear there's no money to pay workers?

Why do we still see ceaseless power failures with no explanation and hope of getting out of it unlike before?

Why do we keep seeing peace talks in Niger Delta, fulani heardsmen and ipob without any solutions being reached, while the strategies keeps aggravating the people involved as political leaders stage forums to extort funds in the name of addressing their subjects?

Why did we have petrol price rise to 145 for the sake of global oil price crash and removal of subsidy but such price is still being maintained despite significant re-awakening of the oil price from $30/barrel to $56/barrel?

Who is to be held accountable for the sudden and continuous hike in price of commodities in the market, where for the first time in history, Nigeria is suddenly selling kerosene at 400 naira per litre as against 50 naira per litre, diesel at 300 naira per litre as against 100 naira per litre and petrol from 87 naira to 145 naira? Yet maintaining the same systems, environment and maybe a lesser money spending government.

There's need for Nigerians to rise against what is happening in this country having waited patiently for the legislatures that were elected to represent the people all to no avail.

How can there be rise in cost of living all of a sudden and no one is telling us what is actually happening? Not even a single person in power to address the challenges in the various sectors and introduce palliative measures by the government to cushion the effects?

We call on all Nigerians of good conscience to rise against this inhumanity against mankind, dehumanization and heartlesness living in high places piloting the affairs of this country while we're yet to drawn into a deep blue sea.

To this cause, we the masses wish to use this medium to alert ourselves that on the 5th of February, 2017 , there shall be a nationwide massive protest from state to state, local government to local government, ward to ward and kindred to kindred.

For the first time, all Nigerians shall match out of their houses to the streets with placards displaying what displeases you in the Nigeria of today both in the executive, legislatures and judiciary arms of government.

Cars shall carry green leaves to display the unhappiness we the masses have towards the economic uncertainties in Nigeria and the displeasure of hearing of excuses and mistakes here and there in governance.

Nobody said anybody is above resignation if he cannot meet up the yearnings of the people like David Cameron of United kingdom.

We are tired of getting surprises whenever we visit the market and yet no shake up in government spending amidst the dwindling economic reserve. Our governors and top government functionaries keep living flamboyant lifestyle, building mansions and buying up properties abroad at the most expensive locations in the world and they end up going away with it once they identify with government or political party of the day.

Enough is enough.

We have been pushed to the wall, we have reached our crossroads and our last hope before we are drawned in silence without notice is a massive protest and a vote of no confidence on the people we voted to pilot the affairs of our nation.

May we rise to demand a bann on the following:

Security votes of every government functionaries. Why do we spend extra while their security operatives rely on their normal salaries, why even continue this scheme in a dwindling economy as this in Nigeria today?

Oversight functions.

Excessive allowances like health and travelling allowances abroad, etc.

New yearly furniture allowances, rentals and kitchens for government houses, etc...

And the need to start owing governors salaries etc.

The need to stop local government allocations till they start functioning constitutionally.

The need to channel youth empowerment programs towards youth friendly programs such as sports, information technology, entertainment, innovations, inventions and not just agriculture or farming.

We call on state of emergency on power, bad roads, poor governance, dead local government areas, electoral frauds etc.

God help Nigeria as we rise on the 5th of February, 2017.

Long live the people of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Pls pass it on till it gets to over 145million Nigerians suffering from the current hardship that is capable of turning this country into a living hell if nothing is done about it NOW.

Encourage growth, encourage development, encourage stability to all.

Help us to fight with our own voices now.

PoliticsRe: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala Reveal True Reason Nigeria In Recession by DeZoro(op): 9:00pm On Jan 04, 2017
Adminisher:
Okonjo Iwealla cannot be so stupid as to say this. The oil price fell 300% , that was the immediate cause of recession. Jonathan did not save or diversify the economy that was the fundamental cause of the recession. The only thing to infer from this statement credited to Okonjo Iwealla is that she was admitting that all the investors that she and Jonathan attracted to Nigeria were crooks. She would also have been admitting that the Jonathan administration only attracted "fairweather " investors into the stock exchange and money markets not people who came to build factories and set up farms.

It is a pity that many dumb young Nigerians can't think themselves out of a brown paper bag and reason.

What investor puts $1bn and ten years into a country and packs his money and runs away because an anti corruption administration came in. Did MTN run away?, did Shell run away?. RUBBISH

Nigerians have a long way to go. Everybody seems to have short term, general contractor mentality and it's so clear how easy this idiotic "investors ran away in nine months" story got traction because of the cash and carry perception of what an economy is.
Use your head! MTN is not a manufacturing company but a telecommunication. Why won't you say this post is not true when the like of you voted in an educated illiterate to power

PoliticsNgozi Okonjo Iweala Reveal True Reason Nigeria In Recession by DeZoro(op): 8:08pm On Jan 04, 2017
Fmr Finance Minister: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

I still find it funny that most people
don't know why Nigeria economy
went into recession, they love the
incompetent lies of Lai Mohammed
about the past government ruining
everything. It's also myopic to think
that if Jonathan were to still be in
power, we would be worse off.

The truth about Nigeria's recession
is this; it was caused by the
president's unguided rhetoric and
uncultured body language.

Firstly, there is nothing we are
buying today that we weren't buying
5 years ago, therefore it's not our
purchase that put pressure on Naira
but withdrawal of funds by foreign
investors.

After the election, the president
created instability with his unguided
statements about how everyone is
corrupt and how everyone is going to
jail. The instability made foreign
investors to liquidate their
investment and change their money
to dollars.

In the process of trying to
flee, they were willing to buy dollars
at any price, which lead to high
exchange dollar rate.

Even though some of them were not
ready to run away, but want their
money in dollars to save their
investments from devaluation, the
president gave a bad signal by
banning deposit of foreign currency
into dormiciliary accounts. That was
enough for free market believers to
see the draconian handwriting on
the wall, that was the beginning of
dollar rush.

To make matters worse, the
president came up with another
outrageous policy of rationing dollar
to certain sectors and blocking many
sectors out. That was the nail in the
coffin which facilitated the
emergence of free FALL.

In the end, foreign investors took
over $80B out of the economy within
a short period and everything went
down to free fall.

To those who believe it will be worse
if Jonathan is still there, you are all
wrong. Policy continuity and political
stability will not let billions of
dollars leave our shores within such
tiny time frame. Even though the
government might have income
shortage, the private sector will
weather the storm by their
confidence in the market.

The fear of the unknown created by
PMB is responsible for the economic
downturn not low oil price. Interest
rate in America is currently at 0.5%
while it is 12% in Nigeria. JP Morgan
Chase will not mind borrowing $50
billion from Feds at 0.5 and put in
Nigeria for return of %2000 profit.
Citi bank will do the same, likewise
US Bank Corp. Chase gave Buhari
warning about the repercussions of
his fixing policy before they pulled
out, but his illiterate cyber warriors
and misseducated e-soldiers said
JPMORGAN can go to hell, they no
longer believe in economic metrics
since their messiah is in charge.

Funny enough they are all suffering
today because of the stupid policy,
but they find relief by blaming it on
past administration and Gucci
appetite of average Nigerians.
For your information, if your
president "continues" with his
unguided rhetoric, Naira will go
down to N1000/1 $. But we thank
God, he is no longer talking.

Dear Nairalanders I write this post all the way from Guangzhou, China. I am on a 14 day business trip to China as this is my first time to come here.

I was in Zone 4 in Abuja Sheraton to change the naira to the dollar as I was very happy that USD niw sell for 400 naira but to my suprise I had none to buy at that rate. all the mallam keep on saying they have no USD. to my surprise, some set came and said they have but its 465. hence I just have a day to Board to China, I had no choice.

I got to China and my invitee came to the airport to pick me and my friend that came. we went to a place to change USD to the RMB, to my surprise, it was change for 1 USD to 6.57 RMB. meaning 1Rmb is like 57 naira if not more.

buying things has become too expensive and our currency has become porous. Nigeria currency is worthless and useless to any foreign nation. oh, see how the Chinese respect and treat us like God because they need to do business with us.

their infrastructure is superb, well planned and organise. Vehicle here are brand new and no form of "Molue" bus as we see in Lagos. I saw an electric bus and as I am on my way to Shanghai now, I never for once emcountered pot holes.

oh God, when ll my country be like and our leader be patriotic to do the right time. oh God.... I WEEP for my country! awake our currency!
