Dear house, please I need your advise. I would like to know about scholarships that are open to Nigerians that I can apply for. I have done some research on the DAAD website but could not get something tangible apart from the PTDF-supported one which is currently not on.

Obtaining a scholarship is the only means through which my dream of studying in Germany can come through. Your advise would be well appreciated. Help a brother.

Thank you.

Honestly it is just of recent I understand why this people always lose out politically in Nigeria.

If the VP goes to SE, most northerners will never vote for an Igbo man . Why would he want to be a VP in the 'zoo'?

You want the lifeless one out of Aso rock? Give the SW the VP slot, let the SP( more powerful than the VP) go to the SE. With that the APC votes in the SW will be greatly divided thereby affecting APC's overall votes across board.

Will they listen? No. Give SE the VP slot, Buhari wins. Python dance back to the east! lol

My problem with Yoruba's is that they always feel they know everything, but Nigeria will shock them come 2019, imagine in 2015, GEJ lost to PMB with 2.1 million vote that means all the NW + NE + SW + some fraction of NC votes against PDP. With just 2.1 million vote and don't forget the election is between SS candidate and NW candidate . But now it's between two northern candidate and you guys are displaying ignorance.... I pity you guys

Firstly, 2.1m votes is not 'just' in an election.

Though I know you don't have the smallest of say as to what Atiku's policy will be towards SW, I'm going to tell you most of you from that region are hypocrites.

See the tone of your comment, something like 'we will deal with Yorubas and sideline them' hehehe

The very thing you are accessing Buhari of. Given the chance, I'm sure an Igbo president will be more of a tribalist than Buhari. An average Yoruba man does not do such, even when it concerns religion we really don't mind, just be sensible.

Igbos will vote for Atiku regardless of who he picks as VP!

You as a skull miner u are ought to know that Igbos don't care about Presidential slot talk more of VP.

All we need is a liberal minded, success-focused, detribalised and enlightened person from anywhere to lead Nigeria.

We don't want cavemen who believe in arrows and bows and den guns as the best way to govern humans in 21st century.

Yorobads can vote even a mad man so long as that mad person gives them VP slot or promise to appoint Tinubu as a presidneital house boy.

That's how low the Yorobads have become of recent and I know Awolowo will be grinning in pains in his grave after all he did to educate his people, too bad sha

Tribal bigotry is the number one problem of the SE people. Funny enough you accuse Buhari of what most of you are guilty of. The Atiku you are praising now has Gbenga Daniel as his campaign DG. Married Yoruba and Igbo women.

Remove tribal bigotry and you will be very sound politically.

The thing with you Yorubas is, u hate Igbos so much that you deny obvious truth.

Yes there are many Abokis in Lagos and few Yoruba states now but all of them will go back in a trailer truck to their respective states to go vote in their states but Igbos stay back and vote wherever they live. I have been voting in Lagos since when I started voting and I am Igbo...same with my siblings and other Igbo friends I know.

Go to Alaba Intl market, Ladipo, Lagos Island, Trade Fair market, just name it...Ajah, Computer village, Igbos are the dominant of millions of people there and I am an Igbo person and I can tell you that 95% of them registered to vote in Lagos and will remain in Lagos and vote in Lagos during election.

Igbos don't usually travel back to their states to go vote...they vote wherever they live except in some few extremist northern states like Borno, etc.

Argue honestly and stop being mischievous to nobody's gain.

You and others know what I am saying anyway, no need arguing baselssly with you...enjoy your day cool

Yes there are many northerners now in Southwest too, but you can't compared their number or population to the number of Igbos in Southwest and 99% of northerners in SW will definitely board the next available truck 2 days to the election to go back to their respective states to vote, you know this...and you will still see it happening next year.

But Igbos stay back and vote in the SW state where they reside, u know this truth, stop arguing like a kid bra cool

Wrong! You only vote with your mouth in that region and even your people in SW.

You are absolutely spot on. I wonder why some of these guys think they can take over your land politically.

It is very obvious picking the VP from SW will be the best way to go so as to divide the votes from the region.

If he picks from the SE, I just hope it does not backfires. SW or SE, my vote is going to PDP

Statistician, please provide the voting population of Ndigbo and other non yorubas in Lagos, bearing in mind that the biggest Landlords in Lagos are not yorubas which reflected in more non yorubas winning elections into state and national assembly in 2015 despite the rigging machinery of thief-nubu. Keep fooling yourself with those vague statistics. Ndigbo and non yorubas have a very strong voting presence in the SW.

Lagos is just a part of SW not the whole of SW.

How, for instance, will your 'ndigbo and non-yorubas' votes affect election result from Ogun state?

The thing is my mum is from Lagos. Lagos Island to be precise. She can trace four generations back to her family house in Lagos Island. The history of Lagos from the period of the aworis showed that yorubas dominated the landscape prior to the Oba of Benin expedition. Every Oba of Lagos has been yoruba. Historically, yorubas have been the dominant tribe in Lagos even before Nigeria became a Nation.

Saying that Lagos is a melting point for everyone is acceptable. After all it is the commercial capital of Nigeria and so many tribes have lived their entire life here which is why its a melting point. London is another classic example as the curent Mayor of London is of Pakistani Origin. Look at the way Nigerians are moving to Canada for better opportunities in droves. Canada is also becoming a melting point.

I cant imagine the Mayor of London now saying simply because he is of pakistani origin, London is now a no mans land. Or, the millions of Nigerians and Africans who have left for Canada should now turn back and say that Canada is a no mans land simply because maybe one Nkechi Adebunmi is now Prime Minister of Canada.

The thing is when you say Lagos is a no mans land, you actually attempt to diminish the cultural ties that generations have had in Lagos prior to migration. Based on almost every known record, yorubas were the orignial settlers in Lagos. If I now move to Enugu or Kano and i am popular in my community there and i speak the language and i win a seat in the house of reps there, can i then also turn arround and say Enugu or Kano is no mans Land ?

Lagos is a melting point. You can say you are also a Lagosian. It can be our land together if you want but to say its a no mans land in the context you say is offensive/insensitive to say the least.

This is my submission.

Only a Yoruba person can reason this way.

Thumbs up to you.

Lagos is not igbo. Its nomansland. You have your oba, we have our ezendigbo simple

Ezendigno. The same title that was dragging supremacy with the Deji of Akure few years back.

You welcome these Igbos to a place, they would want yo claim ownership and all.

The reason why Lagos is thriving is because an average Yoruba man is hospitable. we welcome people regardless of tribe and religion. Tribal and religious bigotry is not a Yoruba thing, by and large.

If Lagos were in the east it wouldn't have seen the kind of development Lagos has seen these years. You know why?

Your massive tribal bigotry in the east would have hampered development. It has affected how you play politics on the national stage too.

Imagine these people getting angry at Ambode's Yoruba language policy! In a SW state for that matter!!

When Lagos became capital of Nigeria and a cosmopolitan city, it lost its uniqueness to a tribe, it now belongs to all Nigerians equally.
