Let me begin by calling the register as I am watching it live. PDP Chairman Secondus, PDP candidate Atiku, Peter Obi, former President Jonathan and his former Vice Namadi Sambo, Senators Kwankwaso, Saraki, Speaker Dogara, Liyel Imoke, Governor DD Ishaku of Taraba, Kabiru Turaki, Sule Lamido, Walid Jubril, Shema, etc are all in attendance. But mark you, Makarfi and all the Southeast governors are absent.

The MC is Dino. At the beginning, when Dino shouted Nigeria, there was mixed response; some shouted "sai Atiku" while some shouted "sai Buhari" as expected. To avoid further embarrassment, they started using trumpet sound whenever Nigeria is shouted to cover the response from the crowd.

Kwankwaso ranted as usual. Then Namadi Sambo. Sambo avoided reciting Fatiha, he only pleaded with them to vote PDP. Then Jonathan. GEJ shouted Nigeria and they replied "sai Buhari with a mixed response covered by trumpet sound to reflect "sai Atiku". Dogara also made noise in both English and Hausa, his message was not clear. Like the guy is confused. Then Saraki. Saraki avoided reciting Qulhuwallahu. He spoke also in Hausa and English.

Secondus then took over as party chairman. Secondus' speech is full of threats and incitements. He made mention that there will be war if Atiku is not returned winner. God forbid. What a conceding statement! They then handed over flags to their candidates.

Obi wore dark glasses to avoid lying to people of Sokoto with open eyes. Atiku then took over. He affirmed that northwest is the capital of PDP that is why they are starting campaigns with Sokoto. There was mixed response when he tried to say Nigeria, of course some shouted 'sai Buhari'. Atiku said his origin is Sokoto, his grandparents were from Sokoto. I hate lying during the day Wallahi. He spoke in fulfulde.

Again, Atiku mentioned that he is a farmer, a trader and a rich man. That he has participated in all deals and businesses to become rich (including...?) That also Buhari has only 150 cows but he has more than 1000 cows. Now we know the sponsors of Fulani herdsmen.

It is interesting to let you know that I wasted my time trying to comprehend why I should consider Atiku and PDP serious to come back to ruling Nigeria. Non of them spoke about stopping or fighting corruption. They only mentioned hunger. That they will fight hunger they have created.

I am tired. PDP secretary is currently speaking. What a waste of time! Never again. Better we move to the NEXT LEVEL. All I saw in that rally was yesterday we prayed and worked hard to escape.

Being the entrepreneurship person that I was, I set out to give it a try.

Left my base in Ilorin to try it out.

Long story cut short.. I invested about 160k into it. Lost about 54k

But I'm unbothered tho, I'm still giving it two more shots next month before giving up on it.

I'm attaching a screenshot to summarise everything I spent.

Note I didn't include my transport, cus I was driving my car myself and it was some sort of tourism to me.

Lesson learnt,
Never test a business based on what people say and don't try any business with money you can't comfortably lose (I learnt the last part from cryptocurrency)

Lost 750k to Ethereum in January
Invested 350k in altcoins in January and had to sell off in September for 46k after HODLing thinking it'll yeast.
Lost another 1.6m to gift cards in September.
Coupled with occasional 100k, 150k, 50k loses throughout the year

All in all, I still don't think I lost anything significant.. I just feel I got more experienced.

For anyone trying to venture into crypto currency is at this time. I advise you just invest your money somewhere else Sha.. the good ol days are over..

On the other hand, even though legit, a sports gambler has a less than one percent chance of beating the bookmakers at their game, it is almost impossible to win on a consistent basis, even when you do win large sums, a bulk of it is spent back on gambling activities, moreso it's overhead cost (if i may say so) leaves you broke more often than not, constantly in debt, you become lazy and out of touch with reality, distant from former friends/relatives/acquaintances you must have borrowed from to fund the gamblers lifestyle, you're constantly counting your eggs before they are hatched because you expect to win meaning you eternally indebted, it has a less than one percent success rate amongst its participants, it's a lose-lose situation either way you look at it.

In sum, there are no less evils between the two, what is bad Is bad, but if I was to take a trait from either of the two, I will go with the yahoo boy's street sense, sheer persistence, dog-eat-dog mentality and their sheer will of how to be one step ahead, and then apply this to a legit business.

PS- I was once a sports gambler, it brought me good times; won over N2million cumulative in a little over a year, but it also nothing but grief, loss of money, loss of friends, unproductive behaviour, misplaced priorities and loads of debt.
I have counted my losses, quit the game (2 months going into my third, paying up my debts, setting up good use for my time and focusing on rebuilding my life for the better.

Surprisingly I have also met lots of yahoo guys, almost gave in to it at some point but never did and I am glad I did not, hence my candid take on the said topic.</sub>

You're right bout sport betting at least to an extent. But what you wrote about Yahoo is all but nonsense. Nothing justifies fraud. Until Internet fraud becomes legal, sport betting is better.

I immediately applied for a Mexican visa and fortunately they granted me the visa. This month will make it my third year here in Mexico and glory be to God, I'm in the process of becoming a Mexican naturalised citizen. I admit, Mexico can never be compared to developed countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia or the Schengen area, however Mexico is miles ahead of Nigeria. When being compared to Mexico, I'm afraid to say this 'Nigeria is a shithole'.
