Politics › Re: Ibe Kachikwu Exposes Maikanti Baru Through His Letter To Buhari (Pictured) by dharmieee(m): 9:25am On Oct 04, 2017 |
TonyeBarcanista: Honestly, I don't know why Ibe Kachukwu is crying...
1. In his letter he sound so insecure like he is in superiority contest with GMD Baru
2. He seem to forget that he is the Minister of State for Petroleum resources and not the Minister of Petroleum resources, hence, any approval the GMD got from Buhari (the minister) subsist and NOBODY owe him any explanation concerning the decision of the boss at the top.
3. I'd have loved that he cite sections of procedures/rules that mandates contracts above $20m MUST be passed through the NNPC board before it is implemented. From the traditions of NNPC, the minister is usually the final appending authority... If, however, that is the case, then this is a serious indictment on both the GMD and the Government.
4. As for appointment, as unfortunate as it may sound, once the Petroleum Minister approves it, it becomes valid with or without the input of minister of State.
Let me for the record state that the office of Minister of State is more or less minister without portfolio because you can easily be sidelined... I'd have preferred Kachukwu to prefer remaining as GMD than the "promotion" to Minister of State when in reality he is at the mercies of the Substantive minister (in his case the president) and nobody will really fear much.
SOLUTION There is nothing anyone can do about this, not even President Buhari. NNPC is a cash cow and Baru is the GMD and Buhari is the Minister.
I am sure Kachukwu is not expecting Buhari to query or sack his kinsman?
BTW Did I read that they refused to allow Kachukwu get appointment with Buhari? Naija wahala plenty o You need to add a little knowledge of corporate governance to already acquired one. |

jayson87: Kaichukwu is inarguably fighting a lost battle. His actions too are uncomely of what is expected of a minister. Now that this letter has leaked out, what should be done.
Kaichukwu feeling like... I will go and report you. Forget Corruption! Deziani did a better job to Kaichukwu. Deziani is more experienced in the oil industry than Kaichukwu. Kaichukwu is just a trial by error minister Clearly you have not clue!!!. The same Deziani? That was paying herself and company subsidy at the expense of common citizens like us? The same Dezaini that never came up with an innovative solution to the problem of NNPC? The first ever NNPC declared profit was under Kachukwu. Despite the fact that oil was selling at 120 Dollars/barrel under Deziani. |

Career › Re: MSc In UK Versus N183k Job Offer: Advice Please by dharmieee(m): 12:11pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
It basically depends on what you are looking at. Please note the following however:
1) There is no assurance that you will get a job in the UK after your masters. The probability is less than 10%
2) When you come back after you masters, you probably still get a job with a pay within that range because you basically don't have any additional work experience, and the basis for any negotiation is still gonna be on your last pay.
3) Masters in the US and Canada are highly valued especially in the top schools because a lot of them comes with internship and about 9months work experience afterwards.
4) If you really have passion for chemical engineering, which i am not sure of based on your current job. You should explore the opportunity. If not chill out and enjoy your money here. |

Sorry where is oil in igboland??hallucination or ignorance??Get a degree today OreMI22: When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites.
They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country!
But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria.
Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT! |

Darlduchi: Let me rephrase your Question. Who are these Biafrans? Nnamdi Kanu is only a pioneer and he isn't afraid of you and your like. neither are Millions of Igbos world wide who has refused to bow to forces of oppression and occupation. Therefore it is gonna take more than eliminating Nnamdi to stop this agitation. If the brutal death of 3.5million Biafrans and the incessant killings ,burning and looting of Biafran lives and properties all over the zoo called Nigeria isn't serving as deterrent, what else could? Biafra is an Ideology that can not be defeated.
My dear Nigeria is already disintegrated and you know it. |

This biafra guys needs to shut up for once and stop distracting the new government. teufelein: BreakingNews: “Nigeria will cease to exist by December 2015″ – Biafra Movement Leader
DONT SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED :: “niGERia WILL CEASE TO EXIST BY DECEMBER 2015″ – Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra..........Reported by niGERia Daily Post
The agitation for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra has taken a new dimension with a new leader of the struggle, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu declaring his readiness to fight all the way. He said Nigeria would seize to exist by December 2015. Kanu, who spoke at a gathering of members of defunct Biafra, including scores of its aged war veterans, vowed that he would not rest until the Republic is realised.
The event, held at Ngwo, Enugu State, was the maiden commemoration of Biafran Day on May 30th, in remembrance of the events of 1967 when the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra. Kalu, the Director of Radio Biafra used the occasion to unveil a multi- million naira cenotaph in memory of Biafra fallen heroes killed during the civil war.
He regretted that despite the declaration of the “No VICTOR, NO VANQUISH” after the Nigeria/Biafra civil war in 1970, successive governments including the present Goodluck Jonathan’s led administration had continued to deliberately marginalise and make life unbearable for the Igbo nation and its people. He, therefore, called on all genuine Igbo people across the globe to rise up and join the crusade of putting in place the Biafran Republic, adding that it was time for the Igbos, to pull out of Nigeria, which he described as a failed nation, where nothing works.
Kanu noted that it was unfortunate and painful that 47 years after the civil war, the Nigerian Federal Government had bluntly refused to pay soldiers who fought on the side of Biafra all their benefits and entitlements, whereas, all their counterparts in the North and Western parts of the country had received theirs. The Radio Biafra boss said despite all odds, they remain eternally grateful to the Biafra leader, late Ojukwu, and others who laid down their lives for the struggle.
He warned the Nigeria Federal Government not to constitute a cog in the wheel of progress of the proposed Republic. Decrying the situation in the country, he said, “It is the watershed in the history of the geographical expression called Nigeria. It is the aftermath of the mistake of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorates by Lord Lugard”. Kanu further regretted that 47 years after Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra, the reasons that led to his decision were still evident in Nigeria.
He decried the sufferings and agony being faced by common Nigerians as a result of corrupt and bad governance in the country. He insisted that Nigeria is doomed and driven by world acclaimed selfish and corrupt leaders, who does not believe in the well being of the poor masses.
He pointed out that as long as the intention and purpose of the amalgamation of North and South were designed to cheat the South, the nation would never move forward, “because any country that makes injustice its watch word can never prosper”. According to him, no amount of National Conference can solve Nigeria’s problem because of deep-rooted hatred among the different nationalities in the country.
Kanu further maintained that the only panacea to Nigeria’s problems is to split it into different regions, calling on Igbos to embrace and keep faith with Biafra, which he assured, will definitely come to reality. “There is no going back, by December 2015, Nigeria would have seized to exists; we shall fight until we get Biafra, if they don’t give us Biafra, no human being will remain alive in Nigeria by that time; we shall turn everybody into corpses; you better go and buy your coffin”. Buhari’s secret trip abroad shows APC covering his health status – Fayose Highlight of the event, which featured dozens of Biafran war veterans from various parts of Igbo land, clad in their uniforms, was the official hand over of the leadership of Biafra to Kanu.
