Nearly a billion people around the world today rely on WhatsApp to stay in touch with their friends and family. From a new dad in Indonesia sharing photos with his family, to a student in Spain checking in with her friends back home, to a doctor in Brazil keeping in touch with her patients, people rely on WhatsApp to be fast, simple and reliable. That's why we're happy to announce that WhatsApp will no longer charge subscription fees. For many years, we've asked some people to pay a fee for using WhatsApp after their first year. As we've grown, we've found that this approach hasn't worked well. Many WhatsApp users don't have a debit or credit card number and they worried they'd lose access to their friends and family after their first year. So over the next several weeks, we'll remove fees from the different versions of our app and WhatsApp will no longer charge you for our service. Naturally, people might wonder how we plan to keep WhatsApp running without subscription fees and if today's announcement means we're introducing third-party ads. The answer is no. Starting this year, we will test tools that allow you to use WhatsApp to communicate with businesses and organizations that you want to hear from. That could mean communicating with your bank about whether a recent transaction was fraudulent, or with an airline about a delayed flight. We all get these messages elsewhere today – through text messages and phone calls – so we want to test new tools to make this easier to do on WhatsApp, while still giving you an experience without third-party ads and spam. We hope you enjoy what's coming to WhatsApp, and we look forward to your feedback. https://blog.whatsapp.com/615/Making-WhatsApp-free-and-more-useful |

5moky:I wrote a tutorial on internet banking that very day here i activate mine, though i don't know if it still works. You don't need any ID card, you just need to call customer care. This is it below. Not to waste much of your time, this is just a few steps process without the need to fill any form or purchasing token before you will be allow to register. I will assume you have enough airtime on your phone, if not you can wait till weekend and use *888*Mtn Pin# to get 200% of your airtime as bonus. Dial GTbank customer care number 08039003900, you will be asked to choose a language of your choice and then from the voice that follows, press two (2) when they ask if you want to obtain your Log-in details and you will be transfer to a customer care agent who will ask you some details regarding your account like account number, DOB, Phone number, Maidens Name e.t.c before he/she will transfer you to a voice bot/app or whatever you want to call it. But before you allow him/her to do that, ask for your USER ID if you don't know yours and write it down. Now you have been transferred to a voice, you will be asked to enter your User Id follow by the # key, after doing that you will be asked to enter your password follow by the # key and finally, you will be asked to confirm your password and again follow by the # key. If successful or not, it will let you know. Now visit www.gtbank.com with your Pc preferably and at almost bottom right corner of the page, you will see internet banking, click on the log-in tab and login with your username and password for verification. But if you have token, you will have access to more features of internet banking. Hope it works for you. |
Kai, don't say that again. I also have a student account gtbank naira Mastercard and I have been using it to purchase online since 2012 that I opened the account. It is currently linked to my PayPal account and I have used it even without PayPal on foreign sites. Activate your card for Internet banking, you can use Google for that. |
Abusule007:Thanks man, please let me know when you receive it. I saw pre-advised on mine this morning. From your image here, it took 10 days from pre-advised to reach Nigeria and probably 3 days to reach you depending on where you are, so I will probably get mine on new year's eve. Are you in Lagos? |
Abusule007:Still not working, please when was it shipped out of gearbest and please let me know when you receive it, so i will be able to calculate my own ETA. I used my school address and i want to go house for xmas/newyear. |
