ProgrammingRe: Gurus Please I Need Help by dhtml5: 5:22pm On Aug 04, 2014
Are the staff going to have working hours? and how do they get paid?
Are the staff going to be provided with their materials to work e.g. laptops or they need to fend for themselves?

blenyo11: What is your definition of software and application development?
Any good web developer can do what you are asking of. But in my opinion,
I think it will be better in ASP.Net (My mother's tongue [with C#]) but this can also be achieved in PHP (my third language)
Modern days web applications should not be doing a full page refresh over every single change that needs commitment to
the server; so you should also consider a hand that is also good with javascript who has the ability to do heavy
DOM lifting without a full page reload
And there goes your man for the job, he has just stated the keywords very clearly.

WebmastersRe: Show Off Your Best Work. by dhtml5: 12:15am On Mar 06, 2012
^^^Spambot swallowed my previous post,

Okay okay, i return to the thread. I am no longer angry at anyone - I apologize to anyone offended.

@binaflexia, what i said about my site was from a programmers point of view, my site is plain yes - i made it plain and simple, but if you browse through that site carefully and if you are a programmer, you will discover its uniqueness, and yes, people visit everyday and interact with one or more section of the site, that is why i have good ranking. As a programmer, i am more concerned about functionalities of my personal website, and the site is serving its purpose as far as i am concerned, but that does not mean there is no space for improvement on the graphics (but believe me, that is not a priority).Note some features of the site, it does not take forever to load despite slow connections, it degrades fairly well if no javascript, it has a fairly manageable mobile version. . .My website also has archives of stuffs in the blog and elsewhere, and this is why it generates a lot of traffick. You can just type "" into google and see what it will give you. Another way to review your website is to use the woorank tool - www dot woorank dot com

Now, as a web-programmer, i split up work with a frontend developer. BTW that interswitch website has mad traffick and it is done with CMS - now, I cannot immagine someone that is not vast in programming knowlege being able to pull off a CMS with the structure of that site as it is - that was the only thing i did on that site - and boy that was the toughest site i ever made into CMS. I cannot explain in public the other gismos i placed in the site.

@doncigalo, as dual core pointed out we are sometimes limited by what the client provides. For some clients they do not provide enough money to get professional frontend developers into the job.Take a look at this site for instance - www dot 3stiches dot com  - it was developed by one of my web students, he has similar skills as me, but he is more of frontend than backend. However, the only external help he required was the SEO, and that same OMAVO guy helped him to do that, i linked them together. If the client does not pay enough, we make do with what we have. One of my former professors for instance is more or less compelling me to do a site for her for 25k, now do you think i will be able to hire a professional frontend developer if the price is not raisedhuh  These are practical things we face in Nigeria that affects the final outlook of the site. If you just started working, you will not realize all these stuffs. But whatever the case is, just make sure you satisfy your client and get PROPERLY paid for whatever services you provide.

ProgrammingRe: Need Urgent Help With Php Mail by dhtml5: 6:20am On Feb 21, 2012
Every language has its strength and weaknesses. I can use quite a good number of languages, i only use PHP because that is what most of the web programmers around me use, and all the companies i consult for use PHP. I migrated for asp to php way back for this very same reason.

If i should change environs, i can change language, it does not matter to me what language i actually use, it is the bucks that is important.
WebmastersFlat-sql - An Ultra-light Weight Database Engine :: Php Stuff by dhtml5(op): 10:41pm On Feb 20, 2012
Hi people, I just wrote this for the fun of it some few days back and decided to share it with you guys.
The FlatSQL package is a small but very poweful set of classes for database like access to text “flat files”. It provides equivalents to many of the common SQL commands.
Below is an extended example of how to use Flatfile and the related classes. The example is a table that holds ‘posts’ (such as a message on a message board), each with an ID, the title, the date, the author and the text of the post.
This package does not require MySQL or any database engine to run, it is entirely standalone and requires just PHP only to run.

You can locate it on www..net/facebook or better still www.blogs..net/flatsql

Nairaland GeneralRe: Please Help Nairalander Perx - And She Went Home: RIP Perx by dhtml5: 10:32pm On Jan 26, 2012
This is getting more and more serious. As for multiple accounts, i should have at least 500 - 1000 accounts (no kidding) according to my logs.
So the actual number of users on nairaland is exagerrated.
Anyway, i will represent all my accounts and make my contributions. I got the account details, gracias.

WebmastersRe: How To Integrate Sms To A Online Registration Form (php, Html, Aspx Etc) by dhtml5: 9:01pm On Jan 26, 2012
^^^^well, it depends on if you are using GET or POST. Some sms gateways support file_get_contents, well, i gave lots of options - in addition to what dual core says. It is the SMS gateway API that will determine what you can use.
WebmastersRe: W3school Teaches False Standards by dhtml5: 7:37pm On Jan 26, 2012
I considered the google algorithm too and cannot fault them. There ranking system is documented and clear.
WebmastersRe: How To Integrate Sms To A Online Registration Form (php, Html, Aspx Etc) by dhtml5: 7:34pm On Jan 26, 2012
u can even use file_get_contents or fsockets, so many options really depending on your sms gateway like dualcore hinted.
HealthRe: What's The Best Insecticide For Lagosian Mosquitoes? by dhtml5: 7:30pm On Jan 26, 2012
I carefully took pains to read all the posts by everyone.

@poster, that mortein, them dey drink am like water. Baygon kills most of them like someone said - but before it kills like all of them.

If there are gaps in your mosquito nets, or under your door, or you have a cracked ceiling, or holes in your wall, forget it all.

I think you should use the Ota Pia Pia - very good, but also hazardous too - it can even kill you if you are not careful.
