elites? same that benefits from a bad system they created ? wait for them , you hear ? your tongue will grow grey hair while waiting
There are the elites that are sympathetic towards the struggles of the common man, intellectuals for example, who could be the instruments of change. The masses in Nigeria, or anywhere else are blind, largely and therefore, cannot form a resolute force to challenge what is. Most of us toilers, who bear the burnt of bad politicking are ill-equipped with everything and anything at all that can fuel our impassioned thirst for improvement, and can easily be branded enemies of the state by the powers that be, before we even enjoy the audience of others. Politics is never a game of the commoners, selected few that might have paid the price of enlightenment play the tune we all happen to dance to.

Collectively my arsse..you yorubas are the ones playing the ignoble game with the retrogressive backpedaling backward people so you and them should answer the questions.

When you are if the igbos are doing anything different, are you being honest?

How many years are we gonna be calling for True Federalism and restructuring and Resources control and Regionalism? If "they" don't want these cos the current structure on ground, the bloody constitution suits "them",then everyone should think of something else, something drastic like the Igbos.

Naija is a false nation. Naija is the most unworkable,in working country in the world.

Who are these retrogressive people and what are they back-peddling towards?

XhosaNostra:
Have you ever seen Karma at work? Please share your stories.

Today I just received news that I've been waiting for, for over a decade. But I'll save that for last.

In 1997, my biological father passed away from complications related to diabetes. He left a lot of money. He was a businessman, who ran his bar singlehandedly, until shortly before his passing. Anyway, there were even more complications to follow: he didn't leave a will. So about two weeks after his funeral we were summoned to court, myself, my 3 other siblings & our mothers. My father was survived by an older brother. All his other siblings were long gone. My uncle was appointed by the court to divide the money, equally, between us (the children). Long story short, I never got a cent! I'm not sure if he gave the two children from my father's 1st marriage anything, but a huge lump sum of the money went to him. He went on a shopping spree & spoiled his own family with gifts. He opened his own business, a supermarket. However, he didn't live long enough to enjoy the fruits of his deceit. He died 6 months later from a brain tumour. I felt justice was served!

Now back to the news from the beginning of my post. I have one sibling on my mother's side. She's 15 years older. At the end of 1999, I had to go live with her. She has a good paying job, working for the government. When we 1st started living together, she made sure that my future was secured. She got me an education plan, which would have paid for all my university expenses. When I was in grade 11 she had her 1st child & everything changed. I don't wanna go into it, but she removed my name from the education plan. Her child was the sole beneficiary. Naturally, I was heartbroken. I cried over it for years. Now the child is all grown. She's so close to getting everything that was taken from me. But life has other plans by the sound of it, because I just heard that she dropped out of school & is refusing to go back to school. I should be celebrating, but I'm not. The only thing "sweeting" me is, her mother finally got her visit from Karma after everything she's put me through. I was good & yet she treated me like garbage. She told lies about me & now every lie she ever told is coming back to haunt her through the very child she used as an excuse to treat me like an outsider.

Never take revenge on people. Leave it all to Karma.
Your Father died when I was only 2. Considering that I am an adult now, with sweet-bitter life experiences of my own, "the i'm coming of God, better understood as karma or justice in this context, might not come in 20 years". I do not belief in evil, good or bad. I see them as inventions of man to express sensations they do not even understand because what seems good at first at times, might end up being the worst thing to have ever happened to one. Instead, I believe in the love of God (or whatever else humans use to define whatever force facilitated this string of existence we are all in) and justice which always gets served to term. I have a feeling you should try reuniting the bonds that might have been severed by the malicious and selfish acts of your folks if you can. It makes you better than them, and might create a new sequence of happenings that you might end up being grateful for.

Nigeria's an establishment and to restructure the establishment, it requires that the elites come together to spell out whatever went wrong and how to correct them. This usually involves revolting by staging a revolution. When the need for a revolution is felt to the marrow, it will come, it will endure and things might improve. For the time being, nothing changes.

Politics / Re: Who Do You Think Is The Most Influential Black Man To Have Ever Lived ? by dia4iam(m): 6:36pm On May 18, 2019
Influential people must be people with ideas that is not popular among the majority, but who held on to it anyway up until others saw the light in the idea. I don't know of any other African of this milieu with such pristine idea, other than Fela. Fela is still widely misunderstood till date and those who do understand him and in some ways mirror his beliefs are seen by others as being odd. Nelson mandela of South Africa might have been a better option, but for the fact that he was a politician, and all politicians are liars.

Must be very painful. No wonder the elders say the relationship between penis and vagina is stronger than the relationship between fire and gunpowder. The tessy girl is better off a single mother though, minding the number of past abortions. More reason why the husband should be thankful things happened the way it did...
