''There's your husband'' Ronke pointed right as mr shola drove into the church compound. ''oh my bad,he is just your baby daddy'' she smirked.
''who do you have to be a bitch?'' Bummi shot at her sister.
''it's better than getting pregnant at this age..'' ronke fired back.
''knock it off girls. We are in the house of God'' mr shola called from the drivers seat as he pulled the car keys from the ignition.
''we are still outside, dad'' ronke said unremorsefully. '' let her get what she incurred''.
''are you incapable of saying something unabusive?'' bummi said tearfully.
''aww... Did i hurt your-''
''shut up both of you'' mrs shola snapped and went out of the car.
Ronke followed but not before smirking at bummi and mouthing something that sounded like 'see you after mass' and swaggered into the magnificent building.
''don't mind your sister'' her father consolled. ''she's just being immature''
she nodded and smiled at him. He mostly had her back.
''i will see you inside? Will you be okay?'' mr shola asked with genuine concern.
''yes dad''
''okay then'' he locked the drivers door and left.
It was just bummi and her baby left in the car now. She took the baby by the waist and smiled.
''you are going to see daddy today'' she said tenderly and kissed her baby on the forehead.
She alighted from the vehicle, shut the door and went into the church

utumunta: This comes from the 'comrade' governor that goes about mouthing "one man, one vote". To think that this same man was robbed of his deserved victory in the 2007 election before the courts restored his mandate, is a pointer to the insincerity of the Nigerian politician no matter his political affiliation, history or experience.

EDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION; A SHAM
...
Yesterday, rerun elections where held in esan north east local government of Edo state that saw the state electorial commitee declare mr oboh as the winner and chairman of the local government. It would be recalled that election have been held twice in this local government and cancelled twice by the commission.
There have been cries from several quaters that the election was perfectly rigged. Report states that, votes were still been counted in esan north east when results were announced from Benin city, the state capital where elections were not held. It was also observed that the results announced at each ward and copies given to the DPO and journalists available, which saw the pdp candidate as the winner differed entirely from the one announced by the electorial commission. The commission declared the apc candidate winner with over eleven thousand votes to pdp's over three thousand votes. Whereas figures at the wards shows pdp won with over eleven thousand votes where apc got over six thousand. Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the area today is tense as protesters have taken to the street. What happened to 'one man,one vote'?

''once beaten, twice shy'' patience replied. ''she would never make the same mistake again and moreover, she would be going with me instead-'' she stopped.
''well said barrister'' mrs shola complimented and patience smiled. ''she turned face her daughter and put up the motherly face. ''you can go with her'' she said provoking a light jubilation from patience. ''but only on one condition'' she added and patience froze abruptly.
''i knew nothing good comes easy'' patience stated sadly and mrs shola laughed.
''i was pulling your legs' there's no condition''
''Thank you very much ma'' a wide smile fleetingly erupted all over patience face.
''you are welcome''
''thanks mum'' Bummi said coldly with a faint smile on her face and her mother nodded.
''okay girls,i need to rest. Tough day today'' mrs sholay picked up her bga and walked gangly out out the living room.
''phew!'' Bummi heaved when her mother was out of sight. '' that was close''
''yeah yeah'' patience said with her nose up. '' and i saved the day like i always do.''she gloated.
''more like almost ruined it'' bummi rolled her eyes at her friend. '' i can't remember telling you to get a pass for me to a party''
''i had to improvise or would you rather i said the truth?'' patience eyes popped and bummi nodded NO. ''i thought so too''
''well am not actually going to the party'' bummi declared.
''like hell, you are. Your mum would know i lied if you don't. And moreover i know you really want to go'' she stucked her tongue out.
''pat,i really don't know about it'' Bummi's forehead knitted it worry.
''loosen up babe. Nothing is going to go wrong. I will be ther remember!'' she made a face that made Bummi smile.
''so back to the matter, are you going to tell your mum?'' patience asked.
''About what?''
''the messages you saw on your dad's phone of course. Whatelse will i be talking about?'' she shot bummi a dirty look.
''so you really want me to tell the woman that i think her husband is cheating on her because i happened to see some suspicious texts while going through his phone; which at first i wasn't suppose to go through?''
''you make it look as difficult as climbing mount everest'' patience said in frustration. ''But yes,i think your mum derserves to know'' she said moderately high.
''shsss'' Bummi hushed her. '' bring your voice down or do you want to go through the explaination again?''
''all i am saying is that she's bound to know at the end but it might be better if she knows now'' patience said in a husky voice. ''don't you see what happens in movies?''
''good thing you said movies. This is real life pat''
''movies are mirrors of reality. Haven't they thought you that?'' patience teased.
''it happens only in hollywood movies pat. This is nollywood.'' bummi stuck out her tongue.
''if you say so''. Patience retreated. ''so where is your dad now?''
''dunno, maybe he's in school or something''
''Today is saturday. School on saturday?'' patience raised her eye brows.
''yeah... It's possible. Maybe he fixed a makeup class or ... I don't know''
''or he is with Angel today...'' patience hesitated a while. '' doing things'' she winked.
''stop it joor. You don't know that''
''yes ma'am'' she pushed her nose up. ''how about your vampire twin. Where's she on a sunless day?''
''probably taunting a poor soul to death. God knows i don't want to know''
There was silence

''oh welcome mum'' Bummi gasped uneasily.
''welcome ma'' patience greeted more comfortably and mrs shola acknowledged them with her eye brows.
''so patience'' mrs shola placed her bag on top of a cushion. '' what should Bummi tell her mum'' she said dramatically.
''oh nothing important ma. You don't need to worry about anything'' patience forced a smile.
'' Am not worried. But i still want to hear what she should tell me.''
Bummi shot her eyes in anticipation and prayed to whoever was in charge of lies to help her friend out with a very good one just this once. She promised never to ask again.
''ehm, she was wondering if you would let her come with me to kenedy's party this week''
Bummi almost leaped from her seat. Firstly, she wanted to hug her bestfriend for a lied well said and then give her a slap for speaking about a party. She knew her mother hated anything that linked her to a party.
''you know how i feel about parties especially when it comes to Bummi'' mrs shola complained.
''yes ma but this one is quite harmless'' patience tried several smiles to influence mrs shola's counternance but she failed. ''it's just a birthday party''
''Right'' mrs sholay usherred sarcastically. '' wasn't it just a birthday party that made her a mother?'' she was speaking to patience but stared at her daughter.
''yes ma it was but this time it will be different'' patience said and Bummi smiled within.
She totally expected her mother's question to put patience off but apparently even questions from a fine lawyer couldn't unbalance her bestfried.
Mrs shola sighed and paused in thought. She looked from he daughter to patience back to her daughter and again to patience.
'' How would it be different this time?'' she asked. It sounded like a final question.

Ojo street was especially empty. It was one of those days when the sky would cry long enough to disrupt any trade business but not hard enough to provide water for the labourers down the street who need it for the ongoing building.
Bummi dropped the curtain when she saw her bestfriend, patience walk through the gate. She moved over to the door and opened it swiftly to let patience in.
''And i thought you were being attacked or something'' patience frowned as she looked around the room without luck for something to dry her wet self. ''Am telling my mum it's you if i catch a cold''
Bummi laughed and feigned a wince.
''Let me go get a towel for you. I will be back in a jiffy'' she trotted into the house and was back in less than a minute.
She threw an orange coloured towel at patience who caught it with zest and towelled herself thankfully.
''Now what's the matter?'' patience asked bummi as she flinged the towel to the chair nearby.
''problem? I never said there was a problem, did i?'' she gave a provocative smile that strucked patience numb.
''you mean i risked catching a fever, abandoned my chores and nearly slumped on my way here just to come over and see your not-so-pretty face?'' patience protested.
''something like that'' Bummi let out a light laugh. ''And i wanted to see your face too''
''so that's what sos mean?'' patience asked.
''you didn't really think i was under an attack? Did you?'' Bummi asked with an almost serious face.
Patience hissed lightly and fell to the chair behind her. She sulked.
''comeon pat'' Bummi cried, trying to get a response from her friend who had refused to speak in the last minute. ''i was lonely and i needed my bestie''
still patience remained mute, now her mid finger danced in her mouth.
'' I was losing my mind over here. I couldn't stop thinking about whether to tell my mum about my dad or not.''
That got patience attention. She withdrew her finger from her mouth and sat upright.
'' Have you confirmed it?'' she asked bummi keenly.
''No i haven't'' Bummi bit her lower lips in regret. ''But it's obvious, isn't it?''
'' Do you expect me to answer that for you?'' patience smiled and got up frantically. '' Am farnished,do you guys have anything to eat?''
'' There's a bread in the fridge'' Bummi answered without looking up.
Her mind wandered some place else. She weighed the several thought on her mind. The result were not as she would have it.
'' Well i think you should tell your mother'' patience voice pulled her back to reality.
'' Tell me what?'' mrs shola called,as she pushed the door opened and walked in,dripping water all over the tiled floor.

What da **?

He and linda should just seek a divorce cos that marriage wont work .
Anytime he looks at her,he will see a woman "Who fell for his brother"; A woman who wanted to be fffucked by his brother. lol

Linda on the other hand will need more than the 'i do' she said on the alter to keep her in that marriage. The shame she'll feel when she looks tom in the eye will be more than enough for her to handle..

@Diamond writer,i thoroughly enjoyed the story.. Great work.

'what's wrong?' jack called when he noticed her standing transfixed.
'there's someone there' she crooned as she fought the shivers.
Jack got up solemnly and looked to the direction she had her eyes fixed on.
'who's there?' he called out with is very masculine voice. 'show your face' he said fearlessly.
At that, the person emerged from the dark. It was Tom and he seemed like he was sobbing.
'oh God!' linda exclaimed, totally abashed with the whole situation. She felt her jaw open as she place her palms to block her face from pulling in shame then she heard someone laughing beside her. It was jack. How could he laugh about the situation? She wondered disturbingly then she heard another voice join in the laugh galour. It was coming from where Tom stood. What was going on? She was frightened.
'relax Linda'
she heard Tom say as he pulled down her hands.
'it was a game' he said.
'and i won!' jack added and ran upstairs, out of their sight.
'a game?' linda still shivered. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
'yeah' Tom replied smiling. ' have a sit' the sat.
He explained to her,how himself and jack had made a bet on who was better with women. Jack had dared him that he could win ove his wife but he had differed.
'so you used me for a game?' tears streamed from her eyes as she spoke.
'comeon now,no tears. Afterall it was i who lost the bet'
'time to go brother' jack called as he emerged from the stairs with two travelling bags on both his hands. 'linda,it was more than a pleasured' he bowed and moved out.
'be right back' Tom said to his wife who was now drenched with tears.
'you got lucky' he said to Jack as he got outside.
'and you always say that' jack smiled proudly. ' i will be waiting to hear from you'.
Tom nodded and patted his brother on the back.
'but you know it,right?' jack got serious.
'know what? Tom asked.
'that she will never look at you the same again' his voice pierced through Tom's head. ' i think the question is;how would you look at her now?' he said and walked off without getting an answer.
Tom looked on until his brother shud the gate behind him. For the first time,he realized that he had done a foolish thing. His marriage would never remain the same. He looked back at the door behind him and lost the appetite of going back to face his wife.
.

'jack' she called lightly. 'what's the problem?'
'nothing' he answered indifferently. She got up,walking over to him,she sat by his side breathing heavily, she moved to kiss him.
'wait' he stopped her. 'just gimme a minute' he sprinted out of the house and was back within a short while.
'i didn't hear the gate open, where did you go?' she asked.
'just went to text a friend' he smiled. 'now where were we?' he pulled her close and kissed her.
They probed eachothers lips as their hands groped around their bodies. The continued in this regards a long while until linda pulled back a bit.
Jack waited in suspense as she stood up from the chair and reached for her back. Her hands met the zip of the gown and she pulled it down slowly. Then she saw a pair of faint white little balls at the dark dining. She squinted with interest to know what it was. It registered on her mind. They were eyes. She was looking at a person and whoever it was had been looking at them. Shd quaked in her boots as she pulled her gown back up,trying to figure out who was there.

She could stop pretending listening to a music now. She pulled the headset from her ears and faced the ceiling. The spiders were still there. It reminded her of her loneliness once more. She grunted.
Minutes later, she heard footsteps in the house. It had to be jack, she imagined. She tossed the device away, moved over to the mirrow where she straihtened herself. She scurried downstairs and met jack sitting on the couch. She sat adjacent him.
The whole time, they watched the tv passively and silently. Stealing glances at eachother. They never caught themselves.
Linda wondered in confusion what was going through his mind. She couldn't maintain the silent any longer than she had.

Silence and loneliness haunted Linda as she layed down in her room. She searched the ceiling for ideas on what to do but all she saw was a baby spider trying to catch up with and older one.
She closed her eyes to reminisce her escapde with Jack the previouse day. Her face glowed with sunshine smile as she remembered every detail of it. She soaked in the estasy she derived from her memory until she heard a knock on the door.
She frowned a bit but relaxed her muscles when she remembered it could be jack knocking. She stepped down from her comfortable bed to open the door and hissed when she did.
'can't we have a minute of truce in this house?' Tom said with a smile that disguisted her.
'can't i have my territory in this house?' she countered.
'it's my house' he grinned. 'you can't. Sorry baby'.
'then am sorry we can't have a truce'.
He stared at her, puzzled. He ignored her arrogance and spoke.
'anyway,my car is bad and i really need to go out now. Can i borrow yours?' he pleaded.
'you can't' she walked back to her bed and fell on it. She picked up a music device and blocked her ears with the headset.
Tom watched helplessly and left whe he was certain she didn't have his time.
Few minutes later linda could hear the gate open and close, signaling that he was gone.

Jack pushed to convince himself to leave but it was futile. Her lips had already touched his. The magic touch.
She paused to savour the moment. It felt surreal. Finally she was getting her fantasy. She opened her eyes slightly to steal a look at him. The expression on his eyes were priceless.
She pushed on. Her lips locked with his as her tongue explored his mouth for sweet spots. Her breath fleeted as his tongue entangled with hers, then gently,he pulled his lips away from hers.
'what is it?' she asked. 'did i do something wrong?'
He gazed straight into her eyes like he could see beneath it. He let out a smile.
'you didn't do anything wrong my dear.' He hesitated for a moment. 'this isn't right'
He made to separate further from her but she clasped her hands around his neck and pulled closer.
'doesn't this feel right?' she looked passionately into his eyes.
He stayed speechless.
She picked his right hands and placed it on her chest. He gulped.
'can you feel my heartbeat?' she exhaled. 'what i want and what you want majes it right Jack'.
She awaited no responses as she stealthily dove at his lips again.
They kissed longer this time until Jack pulled away and ran out of the room.

Outside the room he pulled out his phone and typed a text.

We really are not as green as we claim.
Contrary to what we need do,we taint the meaning of the name.
I closed my eyes and prayed by dawn Nigeria should not remain the same.
But i awake and the song i hear is that of pain.
Not even a pole of hope to lean on.
And day in,day out we hear overwhelming propagandas that change would come.
We pop and squint our pupils to search for the silver lining which is long gone.
But the only sign we see is sign that the worse is yet another tough storm.
We run our mouths making speeches as if we are better.
We even stoop so low to call our leaders mental.
But where were we when they stormed the centre?
We cuddled in our beds awaiting the pacesetters.
I could easily say we deserve what we get.
That we live as animals and our rulers as grumpy vets.
But i believe despite the tether,we could tear down the net.
We behold the power of the vets, afterall they are those we elect.
Let us reclaim our birthright.
Let us move Nigeria back to the height.
We own the torch,we must put it on and bath in the light.
Cheer up Nigeria for our future is bright

The atmosphere around the house had never been this cold. Tom and Linda barely spoke to eachother. Linda moved out from their room and moved into one of the guest rooms.
Tom totally had a mood change. He moved nonchallantly around the house and never brought up the past event. He begin keeping late night appointments making silent calls and several things that increased Linda's blood pressure. She tried to be strong but would breakdown once in a while. Jack became her extra shoulders. He had completely transformed from the demon flirt to a listening angel. She wondered what she would have done if he wasn't around.
'Linda,i want to talk to you' Jack called from her door post startling her a little.'sorry,i saw the lights on and the door opened' he gestured.
'no problem, come in' she dropped her laptop on the bed and sat straight. 'what's up?'
He hesistated for a moment and then spoke softly.
'you should talk to Tom' he said
'talk to Tom? Why should i?' her counternance changed.
'you guys should work thing out already.'
'if he wants to work things out,he would had come to me a long time ago but he hasn't. So duh' she stretched to get her laptop.
'am leaving' he said quickly.
She froze and then retreated.
'leaving how?' her eye brows expanded.
'am leaving as in going' he shrugged 'am leaving the country. Going back'
'oh' she made an effort to hide her disappointment. 'when?' she asked
'soon.. Tomorrow maybe. It depends'
'Tomorrow?!' she exclaimed. 'it depends on what?' she became moody
'doesn't matter. But you have got to make up with your husband'
'why didn't you tell me earlier about it?' she asked.
'about Tom?'
'for christ stake,NO! I mean your impending departure'
'well,it skipped my mind.'
she frowned.
'Linda, please can we talk about you and Tom? Please' he raised her head towards his. Their gaze locked. The tension filled the room. He knew something was definitely going to happen.
