See the reaction of Nigerians to the damning confessions, allegation, revelation (call it whatever you like) of the former State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Tope Aluko on Channels Tv about how the ekiti state elections were rigged.
Nigerians are in shock right now and as one twitter user said
"Buhari should declare a public holiday to let Nigerians recover"
The hashtag #EkitiGate is trending since the Channels TV interview of former Secretary of the pdp, Tope Aluko in which he revealed, alleged, confessed (call it whatever you like) some very shocking details about how they rigged the ekiti state election.
The confession is self incriminating but he seems not to have a care in the world as he goes on to list the names of politicians who were present at the meetings when it was all planned

0ldirtybastard: Your idiocy is vividly hereditary. Ain't they humans? So only the elites, the educated and people of affluence should appreciate good music[ or lemme just say "appreciate a person" before it's something worthy of mention? May olorun in his infinite mightiness flush away your destiny. Anuohia. Was 2pac not appreciated by people worse than mechanics, plumbers, bricklayers? Jobless, homeless, dirty, street slumdogs were the core fans of 2pac even till date. Why? Cuz he represented them. He was there for the underdogs cuz that was where he came from. So, if you can be reasonable enough not to stereotype people, I'd like it.
Impish, brainless, moronic gay.
You are advising someone but not taking your own advise
shreck: The only person I see losing out here is Olamide, he shouldn't have picked a fight with a producer/promoter others in the industry will gang up against him. No matter how blatant he feels about the way others where robbed, the awards aren't his to give. I don't follow Nigerian music that much. But I don't see him recovering from this. It's not about awards, excellence will take anyone where awards may not go. I really wish he recovers from this act of shooting his own feet.
This makes me recall the stunt Steve Harvey pulled.
Yes I feel the same way too... if Don Jazzy has the power he could get olamide blackballed in the industry and the apology olamide tendered about cursing on tv was probably because hiptv might have threatened not to play his songs anymore. He should thread carefully!
naughtynaughty: ..Nd dis kolomental must shhuuk mouth..smh jxt wait small eh Ola wil soon fry dt ur dry yansh wit shades. Rip in advance
Olamide Will not bother himself. Her head no correct nah! Her sister wey be commissioner for oyo state beat her last year becos she was insulting thier mother, she come write letter send to BBC... certified Werey!
Anything to stay relevant in the news. I no blame am, food don done.
Meanwhile she just indirectly insulted yoruba boys. She says you people are illiterates.
And with the way they act and reason I tend to agree with her.
Lol. Yoruba people Will not attack her now because she is Yoruba. That is the Nigerian mentality, they can insult themselves but have zero tolerance if its from someone else
Afam4eva: Lol Can you just advertise yourself or your blogger without bringing Linda into it. You wan use Linda Ikeji blow abi? And pls, it's not about how long but how well.
If It is about how well then it can't be Linda becos she posts pictures and puts caption. Finish... no content. How that one take be blogging? Nigerians don't like being objective sha! Nah wah! Some of una no just like truth.
lezz: Dude, the diction and phrasing by the journalist is masterpiece, elite in any class.
I don't endorse tribal bashings of any sort but what is written is a veiled diatribe, euphemized by clever placing of words to soften the verbal blows. I call it social diplomatic bashing.
If nairaland installed an active anti spam bolt for auto deletion of insults, that bashing will pass undetected.
What is this one saying? People like you always think someone is insulting you. He is clearly stating things as he has seen and observed them, something Nigeians are alien to given their over use of euphemism and metaphor.
saxywale: okay. I missed out that part. I just read the article again, and there was no grammatical error in the article. All punctuations were also perfectly used. There were no comma splice, or run-on sentences.
Exactly my point when I asked the professor which part is incorrect
