Events / See Where Magic Failed The Indians; Stage Caught Fire During Performance.(pics) by Dicksonokeke(m): 5:23pm On Feb 15, 2016
The dancers were having their performance in the front of a large crowd, committed to their moves when the stage caught fire, and they did not even have an idea, they probably thought the smoke was part of the stage stunts, until they were chased out of the stage by the audience, who saw the fire first. All the performers were evacuated out of the stage, including Bollywood stars, Amitabh Bachan and Amir Khan, who were present at the event.

Nobody was hurt in the course of the fire, but the show had to end, sadly.

The English Premier league has unveiled its new, sponsor-free “visual identity” today (Tuesday) and it would be used from the 2016-17 season onward. The body has finally decided to end its 12 years association with Barclay Bank and has decided to go independent and come as a “clean brand”, and will now be simply “Premier League”.

According to Premier League managing director Richard Masters in a press release, “From next season we will move away from title sponsorship and the competition will be known as the Premier League, a decision which provided the opportunity to consider how we wanted to present ourselves as an organisation and competition.

“We are very pleased with the outcome: a visual identity which is relevant, modern and flexible that will help us celebrate everyone that makes the Premier League. “We look forward to sharing more details of our new positioning in the coming months.”

Residents of Mpape in Bwari area council of Abuja woke up this morning to a very shocking and sad news of eviction and demolition notice at the same time in the popular mpape market. The street traders and shop owners in the area alleged that they weren’t given any notice before today, they came to the market to conduct their business as usual and they were greeted with the presence of caterpillars and bulldozers stationed along the abattoir road of the market with heavily armed soldiers. They went shop by shop to pass the eviction notice giving them just 12 hours to vacate the premises or risk being pulled down by force without an alternative shop or market to go, just 20 minutes after the notice the bulldozer started work on some of the alleged illegal structures along the market road.

A copy of the eviction notice was made available to the crew of elofusim.com which reads that the notice was given on 9th feb 2016 by 10:44am

We are yet to speak with the environmental health officer whose signature is on the eviction notice as at the time of filling this report.

Webmasters / Email Marketing:sending Emails With Low Or No Response?Do It The Right Way Part1 by Dicksonokeke(m): 3:57pm On Jan 29, 2016
Sometimes you send out emails only to get low or no response, bad open rates or bad click rates. If you have, it simply means your campaign has gone wrong somewhere and this has rendered it ineffective.

Here is a list of things you have to put onto consideration in order to get the best possible response from your audience.
Stage I

Select an Email Service Provider
An email service provider (ESP) is a company that offers email marketing or bulk email services. All ESPs have the same basic features and functionality; however they vary greatly in volumes, policies, and email deliverability, which makes the selection of an appropriate ESP critical to both the success of an email marketing campaign and the cost effectiveness of its implementation. It is therefore essential to thoroughly understand your business objectives before deciding on a service provider. Popular email service providers include: MailChimp, iContact, Benchmark, Pinpointe, GetResponse and Constant Contact.

Clean up your existing database
Periodically go through your database in order to ensure that all subscriber information is accurate and up-to-date. Incorrect subscriber information might lead to a poorly delivered and received campaign.

Get people to Opt-in
Email marketing is permission based marketing so getting people to opt-in means that they have willingly agreed to receive correspondence from you and will be more likely to act on any action the correspondence requires.

Determine the purpose of your campaign
Clearly outline why you are sending out any campaign. Recognize the target audience that will best receive the campaign and make them your primary target. An easy way to do this is to segment your subscribers into specific lists so that you are able to reach a particular sector/section of your database to whom you feel your campaign is most relevant.

Stage II

Don’t overcomplicate things
Now that you have successfully done the above, you can move on to marketing. Here, it is crucial that you keep things simple. Do not let your need to inform your audience allow you bombard them with too much information all at once. Say what you have to say, say it short but say it right.

Have a relevant yet catchy subject line
There is no set formula for determining what subject line will work for your campaign. Just remember to be creative; make the subject line relatable so that you can easily grab attention. Do not however in a bid to be creative, go completely off topic because your catchy but irrelevant subject line may cause your subscribers to open your mail but it may ultimately cause them to unsubscribe when they realize that the body of your newsletter has nothing to do with your subject line.

Use a trustworthy and recognizable FROM name
When choosing a FROM name, do not abbreviate. It is also important that you understand your target audience and are able to decipher if they will quickly recognize your brand name or the name of someone who works for you because a good name will create trust and a desire to open.

Use a friendly “reply- to- you”
This is a great medium of communication as it will allow you receive crucial feedback from customers. Also, ensure that someone is actually monitoring that inbox so that you are in a position to readily provide answers to their questions.
