Sonofgoodness: My girlfriend and I have been dating for a few weeks now. Her ex has been begging and sometimes forcing her to come back but she refused. She fears the guy because he is an angry and sometimes do beat her while they were dating. Her ex has called severally in my presence and he usually shout and sound rude when trying to tell her to come back. My girlfriend is a girl that is easily afraid. Since we started dating,he has been luring to come. At first,he said the girl should come and collect her sim card, another time shoes and now clothes. She wants to go and collect those things but she ask for my permission to go and take her things. I gave her three conditions Which is 1. She must record all their conversation when she gets there 2. She must collect all her things that very day because I will never allow her go there again 3. She must go with someone. But you know these can't work. What should I do? No insult ...
Hahhhhhaaa...must she go take her things? Anyways, with or without you, she'll go and collect her THINGS, just that she's looking for a valid reason to go collect the THINGS shes been missing.
Lanrelagboi: APC presidential campaign spokesman, Festus Keyamo has responded to Atiku's statement about how he will not tolerate ASUU strike.
Keyamo speaking during a television interview said the PDP governmet which Atiku is a member and Presidential candidate of is the main cause of the problems ASUU has with the FG.
He said the government signed an agreement they cannot fulfill with ASUU
"What is the problem of ASUU now? It is the 2009 agreement signed by the PDP government. They went into an agreement with ASUU that they cannot fulfil and so, we had to inherit those agreements and we are struggling to renegotiate those agreements now"
"Let is tell Nigerians that ASUU is not on strike because APC signed an agreement with them; it is the PDP"
"Between 1999 and 2015 when they handed over, ASUU was on strike 12 times and it amounted to 900 days, almost a thousand days"
Reacting to Atiku's comment, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria said "Talk is cheap"

Goal post shifting as usual.
They blame even their shadows fo their obvious failures.
This is the more reason why they should vacate the seat to allow those that did what they did continue.

deavicky: I was minding my business in my office trying to get out of tedious drawing I was doing, suddenly my phone rang. I checked, it was an unknown number so I ignored the call and continued with my work. The phone rang again I still did not pick. About 15 minutes later a text came from the same number that she is Mr X (my friend) wife that if I'm free I should call her back.
Immediately I had to call back. She picked and start by apologising for calling but she couldn't just help it. That they are very broke at the moment even their little baby food is finished and no money to buy it that she had asked her husband to call me but he said he doesn't want bother me. She just had to take my number from his phone to secretly call me. She said I should send them any amount I can and I should please not let her husband know she called me that I can also send the money to his account.
I was not having much at that time so I sent 20k to his account only for my friend to call me later to thank me and also indirectly warn me not ever listen to such call from his wife.
My concern here is, why is that the same person that asked me not to tell her husband be the same person to tell her husband or is she trying to cause problem between us?
Faithntruth: my quest to learn fashion design drove my thoughts far as to how to raise the needed amount of money to pursue my dream, due to my family background I knew the only way I could achieve it is to look for a small job and save from there. few months ago I was linked by a friend to a man who needed a secretary in his establishment, having attended an interview I was given the job and placed on 20k monthly pay, little did I know that was the beginning of a new chapter of problem. at first I was very comfortable with the environment not knowing the man I work for is a devil.
my boss abuses me at will and does have time correct me when I make mistakes, I tried talking to him that it is my first time of working as a secretary and I am open for corrections.my first month pay was 14k instead of 20k with an excuse that I waste paper and data which of a truth I only use them in line with the job. he suddenly started being friendly(giving me transport and buying snacks) which was surprising but knowing who I was dealing with I was also cautious until he opened up one day that he likes me and want a secret romance which I turned him down(he is older than my late father) and the real devil came alive. I was sometimes pay 13k monthly and had to endure series of harrasment that I sometimes wakeup to cry at night knowing what I had to go through at work. while my search for another job yielded no result I had to endure the torture. on Friday while I was typing a document he gave me the previous day,he came in and started shouting at me and stretch his hands and touched my breast,I stood up and pushed him to the ground and went straight home and later returned with my resignation letter. Terrible experience I will never forget in my life. THANK GOD
There are 3 sides to every stories.
Tag your boss let's hear his own side of the story.
In the last 48 hours, our attention has been drawn to a viral video of a song that has raised concerns and commentary across Nigeria.
For the avoidance of doubt, between August 4 and August 6 2022, the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) was in Ikeja, Lagos, for our 46th Annual General Meeting. This event was attended by over 2,000 of our members who came to Lagos from all over the world.
As part of the activities we were at the Isheri Primary Health Centre on Thursday 4th August, where we provided free medical services to the Isheri Community. Over 300 people were assisted with various forms of medical treatment. We were also at the Police Hospital, Area F, Ikeja, where we donated substantial quantities of PPEs and other medical supplies.
These were part of our NAS Medical Mission which was founded in 2012. In the 11 years since then, we have organised over 50 free medical missions that has made a difference to many disadvantaged communities across Nigeria.
Part of the annual general meeting was the review of all our advocacy, humanitarian and operational activities for the year. This, then, as usual, culminated in a celebratory procession. An aspect of this yearly process that we have undertaken for the last 46 years. In our view, it proceeded without event, until this extremely limited video made this appearance.
Quite contrary to the manner in which certain aspects of the video are being portrayed, no aspect of this procession or the event itself was political. Rather it was the typical climax of our annual general meeting. At no time in the history of this organisation has this event; or indeed any of our events had any slanted political leanings.
Let it be known that the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) does not mock or discriminate against the physical condition of any person. Never. It is an unfair characterisation and offends everything that we stand for. Indeed, this would cause offence to even our own members that are also, unfortunately, afflicted that this would never be condoned.
We must stress that we are apolitical. As an organisation, we have never had a preferred candidate in any political elections including the upcoming 2023 general elections. We have members who belong to different political parties and are absolutely free to support any candidate of their choice.
It is most unfortunate that political capital is being made of this with interpretations that are totally at variance with the philosophy of the Pyrates Confraternity. Unequivocally, we condemn this in very strong terms.
We understand that political merchants desperately seeking media mileage are all over the place misinforming and twisting events to suit their political agenda. However, we wish to reemphasise that the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) are not supporting or backing any candidate for the office of the President or any other office in the 2023 general elections and beyond.
As an organisation in tune with disadvantaged and voiceless people, we are committed to the enthronement of a just society in which no one is discriminated against based on tribe, religion, gender or disability. We are against conventions that are moribund. We have always stood for Humanistic ideals, comradeship and chivalry. Nothing that has happened can and will change that posture.
We are determined to continue to use our social programmes, intellectual platforms and our compelling songs to advocate for good governance and accountability!

And again I ask, hands and legs dey shake abi e no dey shake?
Danielnino00: I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this.. Mods, kindly help me move it to the right one.
So, I woke up this morning to find this creature in one of the buckets in the bathroom. My little nephew told me that he found it at our backyard this morning. We don't know how it got there. Our backyard isn't bushy, neither is our area. Although there's some swampy land behind our compound, and it's possible that the heavy rain that's been falling for the past few weeks could have influenced it's migration to our compound.
The problem now is, we are confused on what to do with it.. My mom is talking about keeping it and raising it,but I don't think that's a good idea. A tortoise isn't an ideal pet in my opinion. We don't even know how to take care of it... I suggested we sell it to a mini zoo that's located not too far from our area, but I'm not sure they would be willing to buy it.
I'm quite confused on what to do... Your advices would be well appreciated. Thank you
