Greatihex:
that is correct to an extent. Hazard though has to accept that fact that it has changed. But, the issue is that his football is not about himself and trying to do anything, just like Ronaldo to increase his number. He is about team play first.

The hypocrisy though, is about those who call Iniesta world great without those same numbers. It is either they take the Ibime stand and call both players fraud or accept both players as great.
How do you want them to accept hazard as a great? By winning pl or fa cup or carabao cup alone? That is were the issue is.....if cfc can win champions league with hazard or Belgium can win any significant trophy with him then his rating will increase drastically.

Boss, you know say this matter Don tey for here and I understand what you are on about.
Question is why do we keep standing up for him, in terms of dishing out excuses as to why he underperforms. Nigga hardly goes for the goals, runs away from set pieces, gets scared of using his head to nod in a goal. We once posited here months back that his problem is more mental than soccer.

Is our collective prayer to see Hazard pick up form and plays soccer the way those we keep comparing him with do. Until then, let's desist from engaging Dayo in hazards debate, he always wins cos even Hazard sef no dey help matters.
Funny enough my discourse with dayo was never about hazard.....Dayo was being his usual self by turning amala and being mischievous with his response.

The discourse was about aguero as you can see below:

https://www.nairaland.com/920248/official-chelsea-fan-thread-champions/4386#63686108

Raunmdeuter will say anything to win a discourse. One minute aguero is finished bcuz he his not producing enough in an attacking set-up while he praises morata and lukaku for performing in a defensive setup. Another minute he his bashing hazard senselessly for failing to perform in a defensive setup.

Truth be told.....I only mentioned hazards name to point out dayos double standard in debates. I no know wetin join awon CNN inside debate wey dem no dey from the beginning.

I personally believe that Mourinho might have lost his touch. I suspect that this job might be his penultimate big job in club football.

I used to disagree a lot with nateevs when he used to disparage the man, because when you look at his history, you will find record breaking attacking football in his catalogue.

Jose wouls usually play expansive football up to a point, bookended by games of mors pragmatic football.

Today as i was driving, i heard on radio that mourinho was worried that Lukaku has been working out too much in the gym and has put on a fair bit of muscle...which may have led to him losing some pace.

Sometime during the last decade, the pace of the game has changed a lot. The big bruisers of the yesteryear are gone. You cant see anybody with roberto carlos type of thighs anymore. You cant see defenders that look like micah richards or oguchi onyewu anymore.

The players have shed that muscle and become lighter, faster...even shorter.

.The physique has changed greatly and many of these footballers could very easily be long distance runners. Kante and Firmino easily come to mind. If you look at Leroy sane's body shape too, the guy literally moves like a ballet dancer. I remember watching him doing his stretches and warm up at Wembley last season ahead of the FA cup semifinal and the guy literally moved like a cat.

Mourinho traditionally has always trusted in big strong burly lads. From Drogba to Essien to Matic and Lukaku, powerful men have always been central to his game plan.

This season alone, i read somewhere that Jose already has the tallest squad in the league.

Well what if, a game plan that is so dependent on height, mass and power cannot compete with opponents who are smaller, faster, more agile and boast more stamina?

What if the same bus tactics that used to work so well is failing because top level opponebts can simply run rings around Mourinhos giants?

What if the likes of Lukaku are really piling on the muscle and now struggling to cover distance quickly?

I dont know the answers to these questions...plus im high as fück!
Kawa....! cheesy cheesy

Arsenal have consistently being among the top sides in the league so why should they not be labelled as 'contenders'? or is this not the same league where we keep hearing how any of the top 6 teams are good enough to win the title. At the start of every season, when pundits and bookmakers draw up a list of favorites for the title, you hardly see them leave out Arsenal. Whether they can actually win the league is another matter but Arsenal are definitely contenders or if you like pretenders. They might not have won the league in recent years but you can't totally rule them out.
You didn't answer any of my questions bros. Anyways, ask any arsenal fan if he/she sees the club as title contenders.

In what way, if I may ask? Say all you want, Arsenal are still one of the biggest sides in England.
When last did arsenal even put up any reasonable challenge for the title? When last did they win it? How much was the tangible amount spent that made you to mention them?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 9:44pm On Dec 29, 2017

I was only trying to point out the outrageous spending by these teams. Chelsea and Arsenal both broke their transfer records during the summer. Man Utd bought Lukaku for 75 million pounds. Despite all the money spent, these teams are struggling to mount a decent title challenge. It's really embarassing seeing City run away with the league in this manner. So much for "the best league in the world".
Adding arsenal to your post just destroyed everything you are trying to prove.
