I have seen 2 of his games in Europa and his scored in one of them. I am not sure I want to use the Europa league to make solid predictions about a player. It is not by dribble and shoot all the time like Andros Townsend. All Depay moves seem to end with him being dispossessed while dribbling or shooting over the bar. He needs to learn interplay with his teammates.

I hardly watch Ligue 1 games and I am yet to see any Lyon domestic game this season, but based on the europa games I have seen.....ibims post perfectly describes depay for me. He will need to do way better if he wishes to join any of the pl top teams in the future.

While I do agree poor team play is one down fall, you can not deny he has put a lot more effort in improving his presence in front of goal and his finishing. He has 8 goals and 3 assists thus far and his team are second on the log, those have to account for something at least.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying he has suddenly become the second coming of C. Ronaldo but he is an improvement from what we saw at United.

Did you watch any of the matches he played in Europa?

What hurts most in football is conceding a last-minute goal. The other thing that hurts more than that is conceding a last minute goal via a penalty after you've defeinded superbly for the previous 90 minutes.
