Hi guys, straight to the point ! Any active person here will have understood the desperate acts of online thuggery exhibited here of recent notebly against posts by invidivals supporting or should i say lovers of competitior products by other brand followers. Why ! We live in Nigeria and their reason is very obivious and the trend has pointed to clear inducments by the said brand against rivals, in other words demarketing ? Dont get me wrong ! There is nothing wromg in canvasing people to consider your product but crossing the line is going as far insulting, thurggery and even false informations to demarket is childish and paints the brand behind this as unserious, lacking in marketing ideas and lazy. The Patterns are very glearing ! I respect and love to read atheis&proud as well as other nairalanders for their unbaised views |

Infinix wants to capture the attention of all the gaming enthusiasts out there with its soon to be offering, the Infinix Note 7.Announced in early April, 2020, what really caught my attention wasn’t the bigger Infinity O Display or that low-light video camera, it was the G70 processor that will undoubtedly multiply the gaming experience. Staying at home is boring, right? But what if you play an exciting game on your phone?! Mobile games can be great time killers when you’re bored or waiting in line somewhere, but there are times when normal smartphone tasks interrupt your gaming session. That is why Infinix Operating System ‘XOS ‘has seen game mode feature one of its priorities, that is why we care about developing Game Mode Feature. The idea behind the Game Mode feature is to automatically apply various settings when you start playing a game on your device. Since different settings annoy different people, the Game Mode application lets you choose what you want to set when a gaming session has begun. Some of Game Mode Features: o Suppress Incoming calls on the top of the screen and you can choose to replay or reject. o Pop-up messages. o Off screen gaming. o Change Wi-Fi state. o Magic button. o Game Anti-Addiction. o Switch SIM data. When playing games on your Phone, unsteady graphics, network delays, incoming calls, notifications, and the accidental touching of keys are all common issues that may interrupt and affect your gaming experience. Game Mode provides the perfect solution by optimizing the performance, network connection, notification delivery method, and keys settings of your Phone, so you will always have a smooth gaming experience. Now Gamers, we talk to you, what kind of features are you expected on Game Mode? To make it easier for you to win the game. What are the most problems you face during playing games? We seek to develop the upcoming version of Game Mode, we are excited to hear your voice, so wear your thinking cap and comment with your thoughts below.

I Don’t think there is anyone who loves the constant difficulties or stress we go through when connecting to other devices and also at times it can be very frustrating when your friends keep changing their Wi-Fi password, {:14_10:} you have to be reconnecting all the times. On Infinix S5 Pro, there is this great feature called Wi-Fi Share made specially for you. What this feature does is that, it allows you to simply share your data with others around you easily or let's just say its a simple way to connect to another device just by scanning through QR code and automatically you are connected. So guys, you now have access to that handy option that allows you to share your WiFi through a QR code. when your friend visits your home, you can just ask him/her to scan the code, then boom – they’re connected And also it works well too for the game lovers, you can share wifi just in a single scanning and you have all your friends connected all day long having the most exciting moments together browsing the internet and playing games. https://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/824/2770017 How turn on Wi-Fi share on Infinix S5 Pro? Its very simple, all you have to do is go to your setting > Network & internet > Wi-Fi and click on the connected device name. After scanning the QR code, you can enjoy surfing on the internet. |
Every day we spend so much time on our mobile devices doing one thing or the other. For some people, mobile devices are for fun/playing games/seeing movies and also to stay connected on what’s happening around the world while for others, mobile devices are strictly for business transactions and communications. Irrespective of the category you fall under, you are still the number one first-class mobile device user. The time we spend on our mobile devices have greatly increased and for the sake of good health; we need to put a check on it and balance our life on mobile devices, especially this stay at home period while doing all business transactions and jobs. Digital Wellbeing, XOS 6.0 feature on Infinix S5 Pro is a tool that is concerned with controlling the amount of time we spend in front of our mobile device, the web and using technology in general. That means acknowledging the potential harm that overreliance on screen can cause; whether it is shortening our attention spins, or harming our productivity. To help limit the potential damage, digital wellbeing strategies aim to help us take back control of our smartphone use and to set useful boundaries that provide space and downtime. Technology itself is certainly not ‘’bad’’. It is important we acknowledge the potential harm and risk improper management can also cause to us. If that is true, then we should at least learn to control our smartphone use. That is where digital wellbeing comes in. Below, we will talk about some of the ways to help control smartphone use: Cut off phone usage 30 minutes before bedtime: looking at blue screen before going to bed can increase cortisol and deplete melatonin, preventing us from entering the deepest sleep possible. This is a major contributing factor in insomnia. One simple solution is to set a cut-off time for smartphone use, perhaps 30 minutes before going to bed. By doing this, you give your brain a chance to settle and allow you to more easily fall into a deeper sleep. Focus on some apps by setting up an app schedule: even if you don’t have to delete some of your apps or limit your app usage, you can at least want to turn off notifications. It can help you avoid interruptions as well as determine your frequency of interaction with an app. Finally, think about how you can balance yourself using a smartphone; what are you doing with the rest of your time, try and counteract the effects of your smartphone use? For instance, if you think that surfing the internet is taking a lot of your attention; you might choose to spend a little more time reading books or engaging in other tasks, you could also make efforts to spend quality time relaxing. To us digital wellbeing is not just an app or a feature, it is an entire idea that will help us live better using our mobile devices. |

Let's cut through the noise, and get to the crux of it. I have analysed and summarised, in a short and sweet 2-minute review. Design Beautiful, striking design - a fashion statement with a hint of premium and a paint job envisioned to impress - one of the best looking phones at this price The front looks equally stunning with the all-screen design with no notch or anything, thanks to the pop-up selfie camera (for the first time in this price bracket) The fingerprint sensor is decent and there's also face unlock that works well Slightly broader and hence makes one-hand use a bit tiresome Display Vibrant, punchy and large 6.53" IPS LCD screen of FullHD+ resolution - the panel has no cutouts, which makes for a more immersive experience when watching movies or playing games The display isn't that bright and could be a problem for outdoor use Software The software experience on the S5 Pro is decent, it comes with XOS 6 based on Android 10 - there are a ton of useful settings such as battery saving options, themes, smart panel, social turbo, gestures, and whatnot. The interface is heavily skinned and full of bloatware that sends spammy notifications. Performance Average performance with the old MediaTek Helio P35 - the phone lags when you do a lot of multitasking like opening multiple Chrome windows and then switching in between them and the games are a no go Camera Good triple camera for the price - 48MP primary lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a dedicated Low light sensor of 0.3MP The daylight photos turn out pretty good with a decent amount of resolved detail, low noise, and accurate colours, the contrast is very good, as is the dynamic range The low-light photos with the Infinix S5 Pro turn out great for this class, well exposed, with good colour saturation, and the detail is quite enough The portrait photos are also good with proficient subject separation and convincing enough. Battery Good battery life with the 4000 mAh cell - will easily last a day of use with medium to heavy use Verdict Infinix S5 Pro is a beautiful-looking smartphone and if you're in the market for the pop-up selfie camera, nice, large display and good cameras, it makes for a decent choice

AI is a genre of computer science that examines if we can teach a computer to think or, at least, learn. It's generally split into subsets of technology that try to emulate what humans do, such as speech recognition, voice-to-text dictation, image recognition and face scanning, computer vision, and machine learning. What’s it got to do with cameras? Computational photography and time-saving photo editing, that’s what. And voice-activation. Voice-activated cameras The ability for a computer to understand human speech is a form of AI, and it's been creeping onto cameras for the last few years. Smartphones have been offering Google Now and Siri for a few years, while Alexa is entering homes via the Amazon Echo speakers. Action cameras have jumped on that bandwagon in recent years, with the GoPro action cameras and even dash cams able to take actions when you utter simple phrases such as 'start video', 'take photo' and so on. It all makes sense, especially for action cameras where hands-free operation makes them much easier to use but is it really AI? Technically, it is, but until recently voice-activated gadgets were simply referred to as 'smart'. Some now allow you to say quite specific things such as ‘take slow-motion video’ or ‘take low-light photo’, but an AI camera needs to do a little more than that be worthy of the name. AI software AI is about new kinds of software, initially to make up for smartphones’ lack of zoom lenses. “Software is becoming more and more important for smartphones because they have a physical lack of optics, so we’ve seen the rise of computational photography that tries to replicate an optical zoom,” says imaging analyst Arun Gill, Senior Market Analyst at Futuresource Consulting . “Top-end smartphones are increasingly featuring dual-lens cameras, but the Google Pixel 2 uses a single camera lens with computational photography to replicate an optical zoom and add various effects.” Google is also using AI on its new Google Clips wearable camera, which uses AI to only capture and keep particularly memorable moments. It uses an algorithm that understands the basics about photography so it doesn’t waste time processing images that would definitely not make the final cut of a highlights reel. For example, it auto-deletes photographs with a finger in the frame and out-of-focus images, and favours those that comply with the general rule-of-thirds concept of how to frame a photo. What is computational photography? Computational photography is a digital image processing technique that uses algorithms to replace optical processes, and it seeks to improve image quality by using machine vision to identify the content of an image. “It's about taking studio effects that you achieve with Lightroom and Photoshop and making them accessible to people at the click of a button,” says Simon Fitzpatrick, Senior Director, Product Management at FotoNation, which provides much of the computational technology to camera brands. “So you're able to smooth the skin and get rid of blemishes, but not just by blurring it – you also get texture.” In the past, the technology behind ‘smooth skin’ and ‘beauty’ modes has essentially been about blurring the image to hide imperfections. “Now it’s about creating looks that are believable, and AI plays a key role in that,” says Fitzpatrick. “For example, we use AI to train algorithms about the features of people's faces.” Depth sensors and blurry backgrounds In recent years we've seen many dual-lens phone cameras use two lenses to produce aesthetically pleasing images that have a blurry background around the main subject. People (and, therefore, Instagram) love blurry backgrounds, but instead of using dual-lens cameras or picking up a DSLR and manually manipulating the depth of field, AI can now do it for you. Commonly called the 'bokeh' effect (Japanese for blur), machine learning identifies the subject, and blurs the rest of the image. “We can now simulate bokeh using AI-based algorithms that segment people from foreground and background, so that we can create an effect that begins to look very much like a portrait taken in a studio,” says Fitzpatrick. The latest smartphones allow you to do this for photos taken with either the rear or the front (selfie) camera. “People refer to it as bokeh, but you don’t get the true blur you get with a DSLR where you can change the depth; with a phone, you can only blur the background,” says Gill. “But a small and growing number of photographers are really impressed with it and are using an iPhone X for everyday capture, and only when they’re on professional jobs will they get out their DSLR.” What about DSLRs? Automatic red-eye removal has been in DSLR cameras for years, as has face detection and, lately even smile detection, whereby a selfie is automatically taken when the subject cracks a grin. All of that is AI. Will the likes of Nikon and Canon ever adopt more advanced AI for their flagship DSLRs? After all, it took many years for WiFi and Bluetooth to appear on DSLRs. While we wait, a Kickstarter-funded ‘smart camera assistant’ accessory called Arsenal wants to fill the gap. “Arsenal is an accessory that allows the wireless control of an interchangeable-lens camera (eg a DSLR) from a mobile device, with machine learning algorithms used to take the perfect shot,” says Gill. “What it’s doing is comparing the current scene with thousands of past images, using image recognition to recognise a specific subject and applying the correct settings, such as a fast shutter speed if it recognises wildlife.” Who is AI photography for? Everyone. For starters, it’s about democratising photography. “In the past photography was the domain of those with the expertise of using a DSLR to create different types of images, and what AI has started to do is to make the effects and capabilities of more advanced photography available to more people,” says Fitzpatrick So does this mean Adobe’s Photoshop and Lightroom will soon be defunct? Absolutely not; AI is a complementary technology, and is already making photo editing much more automated. One of FotoNation’s partners is Athen Tech , whose ‘Perfectly Clear’ AI-based technology carries out automatic batch corrections that mimic the human eye. A plugin for Lightroom, it’s specifically aimed at reducing how long photographers sit in front of computers manually editing. “Professional photographers make money when they’re out taking photos, not when they’re processing images,” says Fitzpatrick. “AI makes professional-looking creative effects more accessible to smartphone users, and it helps professional photographers maximise their ability to make a living.” AI is quickly becoming an overused term in the world of photography. Right now it largely applies to smartphone cameras, but the incredible algorithms and sheer level of automated software that the technology is allowing will soon prove irresistible to most of us. It may not be time to chuck out the DSLR quite yet, but AI seems set to change how we take photos. Not only that, but it could soon take charge of editing and curating our existing photography libraries too. It may be over-hyped and often a shorthand for what is nothing more than the latest, greatest advanced software, but AI is going to do something incredible for photographers; it’s going to free-up more of your time so you can take more, and better, photographs. https://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/323/830173 |
