Re u aware dat major tv manufacturers re ditching android for their own os......LG no longer use android on their tv,they now use WEB os while samsung have started using TIzen os on their tv...sony is about to stop electronics production and concentrate on playstation and movies....most oem are ditching android os for their own os for 'internet of things(iot)'.....android is dying, bro
This is getting interesting.

You're right android will only keep getting better because of it's open source

What happened to symbian was that it was limited to few devices which makes other device companies like htc, Samsung etc worked with Windows os but as you know windows mobile os is not that popular then and automatically it nearly send the likes of htc Samsung to extension until the era of Android.
Seeing the potentials of Android people gradually dumped symbian os that's the revival of the companies like Samsung htc lg etc.

So in my opinion seeing the rate of devices running Android os i doubt if android will ever will ever go to extinction.

It can only get better remember they started from 1.0 now 5...
Solid write up. And since Android are beginning to appear on TV's . It is here to stay.....

Since Symbian is the predecessor to Android.. It is more than likely that Android is also going to give way for a more proficient Operating system..

And I think the time is sooner than we think wink
This is actually a bold step. But man, Android Operating System has solid ecosystem. Any OP that will dethrone them will be chipmunks from outer space cheesy
Forum GamesRe: Which Key Leads To The Padlock? by digitite: 11:58am On Mar 05, 2015
Key is a lock. And when it comes to security, we deal with odds... Therefore odd numbers cannot be divided evenly.

IMHO.....

So the answer is either 1 or 3.

OP made some valid points.
Sometimes men also display boyish tendencies and in some ways, I think it's cute...

I'd like to keep that boyish part of me so my sons can see me as a good companion..

E.g playing soccer or B.ball with him and his friends.
Just like me, my kids will be my friends.

This is a good analysis. More grease to your elbow. I suppose the advent of Cloud computing will drastically change the way we use Technologies in years to come.

Soldier go, soldier come, but Barack remains. In this case, we will always have an operating system for phones and PC's. Just like Microsoft dominates and have lasted a number of years and still counting.

We have had Symbian, Java and so on

Which of the modern phone operating system is here to stay ?

WebmastersReport: Mobile, Security, Big Data To Drive 2015 Hiring Trends by digitite(op): 6:27am On Nov 11, 2014
The annual look at technology hiring trends by research firm Robert Half Technology concludes that mobile, big data and network security are driving businesses trends now, and will shape 2015 hiring trends in the tech fields.

“The supply of highly skilled technology professionals is expected to remain below demand for the foreseeable future, especially as companies across all industries look for specialized talent in three main areas: mobile, security and big data,” according to the salary guide. “Employers’ focus on hiring for these specific areas is a direct reflection of current business trends. And two of these areas – mobile and big data – are core components of what International Data Corporation calls the ‘third platform’ of computing, which is expected to accelerate the transformation of IT and is closely linked to the emerging ‘Internet of Things.’”

The supply of skilled tech workers in these areas is tight, and the workforce is flexing its mobility — Robert Half said that a third of the IT professionals it interviewed said they planned to look for a new tech job in the coming year, forcing companies to focus on retention programs and benefits as well as new hires. Another recent report by the company concluded that lack of advancement opportunity is a prime source of frustration for tech professionals.

Robert Half said that mobile application developers, software developers and business intelligence analysts are going to be the most highly sought employees in 2015. As demand for those skill sets goes up, salaries for qualified candidates are rising as well. According to Robert Half’s salary survey, the fastest-growing salaries for tech professionals in the United States are:

- Mobile app developer. Expected salary range for 2015: $107,500-$161,500; up 10.2% from 2014.

- Big data engineer. Expected salary range for 2015: $119,250-$168,250; up 9.3% from 2014.

- Wireless network engineer. Expected salary range for 2015: $99,000-$137,500; up 9.1% from 2014.

- Business intelligence analyst. Expected salary range for 2015: $108,500-$153,000; up 7.4% from 2014.
