lordbayor: yes i mean general internet penetration so that should cover both mobile phone internet access and computer internet access.... because i know about 60% of Nigerians access the internet through their mobile phone

samfibby: @digitite. Like u said, fibre is the future, it is expensive to deploy even in the us and europe. Why would u want to jump the gun. I think u should start with basic lan cabling, ip subnetting, wireless tech 802.1x, routing, swithching technology and stuff. In this field, u dont want to leave anything behind and come back for them later. I started with ccna, delved into mikrotik, juniper and others, i ve come to realise that the basic really counts. I know guys who are deep with practical stuffs, but cant do basic subnetting.You dont want to walk dat path.

There are latest books on latest web technology that enables one to build world class Web and mobile websites and applications( But they are mostly on kindle and paperback).

samfibby: If u can take programming and application dev compulsory first cause every aspect of information technology has a baseline of programming and apps, then u could move on to maybe web design which wouldnt cost u more than a computer with the necessary web design and editing tool and maybe a hosted website of ur own that u can play around with.

samfibby: The secret is simple, study, study, research, research, be inquisitive, be inquisitive, never stop learning, never stop learning, be creative with your IT knowledge, be creative with your IT knowledge. As simple as it sound it can be a daunting task.

ACM10: Some poorly preserved groundnuts contains fungal toxins called aflatoxins. Aflatoxin is implicated in liver cancer. So groundnut is not ideal. Cancer is genetic. Though some foods are implicated like smoked meats/food(throat cancer - suya eaters beware ), low fibre diet like indomie(colon cancer), groundnut(liver cancer), etc. Some are helpful e.g. Fresh ripe tomatoes(prostate cancer). But basically, what determines whether u suffers a particular type of cancer has been encoded in your gene, before u were born.

You may be right about Aflatoxins in groundnut. But why do you think Groundnuts are Roasted ? To remove the toxins right ? Do you know that varieties of roasted groundnut is a staple food in Northern Nigeria ?

I am sorry to dissapoint you but I don't believe in that "cancer" or any form of disease for that matter is encoded in my gene. I don't swallow everything that comes from the medical and phamarceutical industries. A lot of lobbyists and special interests vying for something.

Eat food rich in fibre and fruits to wash toxins out of your body. And to those who smoke(lost a friend to lung cancer) and drink, you may not be doing yourself any good.
