Bro, any update on your app? If not, I think it's high time you mailed the Canadian Deputy High Commissioner.

lagos@international.gc.ca and/or Abuja@international.gc.ca You can also copy the Immigration Minister @ Minister@cic.gc.ca

The new minister, Honourable Ahmed D. Hussen MP is quite pro-active and responsive from what I heard. Try your luck from that angle.

Let them know your application has exceeded the processing time by several weeks. Ensure to include necessary details particularly the date of submission and the current processing time applicable to study permit applications in Nigeria.

Regards.
cc:Yamen21. Wonderful advice. Please before you begin to bamboozle them with emails, I pray your application is as straight as a die(abi na dice) in honesty. ie no misrepresented /alternate facts!

.... I was ignorant abt it.... The agent/friend I used told me not to include it not knowing it will Ave an adverse effect on me.... Pls, kindly give me keypoints to use to reply them... Please..... I was refused twice in a month in 2016 B4 I applied to Canada in 2017
So sorry bro! I can relate to that "had I known feeling". I feel u should just state the truth of how you were erroneously advised to leave such an important detail out as your advisor thought it would lead to an automatic rejection from em too.
#be very remorseful and pledge never to repeat such a "messup" again. These VOs are psychologists so b sure they know why people leave out ds detail.
#No matter d outcome of your application, d truth will set you free.

So sorry bro. Were u not aware or/and did u not suspect there probably was a problem somewhere as u submitted since October knowing u went through an agent with all d agent tales we have here?
U could have tried to withdraw your app or something. Only an infinitesimal number of misrepresented apps scale thru d eye of these Canadian VOs needles.

Hi All,Have been following this tread for a while, please how long is it advisable to leave funds transferred into my account by my sponsor before applying for TRV,i have also paid all of Tuition.Funds transferred is just for living expenses for a year.Is a week sufficient ,am pressed for time due to the 16 weeks processing time.Thanks.
I think a week is OK. But expect d latest request from cic for additional documents on funds at a later date ie d bank & cbn ref letter . Hp u explained d funds transferred to you in your sop and your sponsor 's letter of sponsorship

My usual format is below. Each time I follow it, I usually feel exhausted at page 1.5 - 2. Can't remember using another since last year.
Please note that you don't have to use it, and I am just a visa applicant like you. Visa or admission SOP?

Generally, any of the above must answer question of why you are writing it.
Sample format.
Paragraph 1: your interest. What you have done in my interest (briefly). Why you are writing the SOP.
Para 2 or 3: what you did in my interest(major one). How you did it. What you got from it Including awards and excellent grade. How it influence what you want to do.
Para 2 or 3: what you want to do. How you want to do it. What you hope to achieve with it.
Para 4: your goal. Why you believe your goal is related to what you are writing the SOP for. What you desire by writing the SOP.
Optional paragraph for Visa: how you will finance your study. How you got (if scholarship) and or why (if relative or friend) that option of finance. Evidence of finance as included in documents submitted.
Optional paragraph for Visa: what you have as home tie as included in documents submitted. Why they are home tie. What you intend to do with them upon end of study.
Thank you.

Just to add
Para 2 or 3: What you are doing currently.
**very important
Thanks to Almeida3 for the last comment.
@expertman
On a more serious note, see if the above format gives u some ideas on how to start. Google samples too. Remember no plagiarism. Once you start writing, you will definitely flow. Then, come back to request for proofreading assistance. Was once in ur shoes too.
Look at this format below and tailor to your spec

Please I need some clarification concerning online application. Please help if you know the way forward...
1. How do i get my UCI Number? There is a space on one of the forms to input it
2. I have a sibling without identification or birth certificate - can i still include his name? I am unsure of reaching him
3. Apart from the documents indicated for upload, where should i upload other documents like my certificate, police report, my assets, employment letters etc
4. The IMM Forms - Can I save them and come back to continue later? After completing the IMM forms, does the validate button mean it is complete and I have signed, or will I be required to do the electronic signing again?
5. Do I need to print out any of the forms to compete by hand?

Sorry for the long questions - I would appreciate your help please

Thank you
1.if u have applied before for a Canadian visa, check your previous document or correspondence. If ds is your first application, leave d UCI no blank.

2. Please do.

3. U can use ds format from a NLer's previous post to guide u.
https://www.nairaland.com/nonelikegod/posts/1

4. Yes you can. Yes it means that. No need to sign again.
5. Didn't print any papers. Used Adobe fill and sign to type where needed.(on my phone though)

Hp it helps

You are not supposed to fill this part of the form. This part is now obsolete and not required. I think the part to fill is from page 17-19 (where you have have to print and fill with a pen).

Pls just to be double sure, in my case I have two sponsors, and do I also need to print my statement of account to show the transferred fund as evidence of sponsor's commitment? (that would mean 3 SOA in total)
Definitely Yes with explanations in letter of sponsorship from the sponsor who transferred the funds to u and probably in your sop/loe.

It's actually for additional documents
Yes bro. I got that d first time. So u could shrink the document size and try sending in a pdf. The VO would decipher which document is which, just like dey do when dey pack everything up together in an envelope in VAC when one submits via paper route.

Just my opinion.
Not a trv specialist o.
Hope it helps.

Thanks!

So you saying It's okay to just dump all the scanned documents into a single PDF??
Please don't misunderstand d post.
D post in question was for IRCC requesting additional documents and not for online visa application. I just highlighted part of it that could help with compressing the document size incase that is d reason for not being able to submit d additional documents asked for as u mentioned u were trying to upload 9docs. I was of d opinion dat u shrink d size instead of using the google drive link u opted for.

On d other hand, were you planning to send 9 different google drive links for d 9 documents?

Onto ur question, I guess so. D documents should be self explanatory and specific to their request

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I have a higher national diploma in Accounting. My intended program is Business Analysis and it relates to my work experience because I work as a Business Analyst in a Bank, so I really don't understand.I agree with the travel history but not with the purpose of visit, because guys have long said it on this thread that your program must be related to your work experience or undergraduate study.

Thanks
So sorry for the delay. Few ?s u could look at
1. What's the level of your intended program? Will it be viewed as a career progression?
2. How long have you been working as a Business Analyst to warrant the career change?
3. Did you address the r/ship between the intended program and your work experience properly in your SOP/LOE stating y it is the best bet for you at this time?

Request for your gcms file for a clearer picture of d VO's tots.

House, please my app is currently under process, is it possible for me to add any other documents via email? If yes pls guide me.
Were you asked to submit additional documents? If not, guess you may have to wait for them to request.
Unless if you think the docs would make a major difference in the outcome of your app, then that may be your "push" factor to go ahead.

Please Can i use a google drive link to send additional documents to the embassy via email??
Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
Try compressing the docs. It could be due to the size.

1. Check out the link How to shrink files for your online application posted above by Josh92

2. See the extract below from the link Steps to Online Visa Application in the same post.
¶ All you need to do is look for the documents you are able to provide on this list and then Copy and Paste them into a Microsoft word after scanning…..Save the document as PDF format in other to get a lower size pdf document…..if at the end you shrinked to pdf and you still have a larger size pdf, then please download a pdf compressor www.pdfcompressor.org

Hope it helps

Great works going on here. PLS I want to know from this house. Am going for Postgraduate Diploma in CANADA. I have a 14 month old child that I want to leave behind. Am afraid the VO would be interested in my baby's welfare.

At what baby age would they (VOs) usually allow to be left behind. I am already thinking of claiming that my baby is 2yrs old(added one year).
I don't think it's a problem. Have read on past threads bout moms that stated they are leaving their little ones behind who had their trvs approved.
Serves as a home tie too.
Just state who you are leaving your baby with and that you will be coming back after your program to unite with your LO.

@bolded. Serious bad market!!!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by dimpules8: 6:43pm On Apr 14, 2017
Based on the trend of events by CIC and d much I have gathered from reading through this thread, I would say yes your friend has a point.

Please note that d gurus here advocate for a relationship between your intended course and your past academic and/or work experience.
If there is no relationship, a strongly worded SOP/LOE is needed in order to "hopefully" convince the VO as to why d chosen course although not related, is d best for the applicant.

But then, prayer availeth much.

Being denied any visa doesn't translate to permanent denial.
