According to Oprah Winfrey, all nigerians are corrupt irrespective of educational status. Coming from an esteemed black like Oprah, one is tempted to ask what went wrong with Oprah's sense of reasoning? What got her so angry to make such an unscientific, arbitrary, uneducated, unwise statement concerning the giant of Africa? Yes we may not be in the promised land yet but America (Oprahs) home is no heaven either. Yes we may not be at par with them in terms of corruption but honestly i prefer the fact that iam a proud Nigerian to any other alternative. America has their own vices too. Morally speaking America is the worst nation in the world irrespective of educational status period!!!!!It has the highest number of divorces, highest number of teenage pregnancies , the highest number of abortions, the highest number of suicides etc. Oprah make una tidy una morality issue and we go tidy our corruption problem. Sorry about the fact that Dangote is still richer than you. ![]() |
Like i said ealier, for Nigeria to enjoy a sweet wind of change we need to take the Jerry Rawlings example and replicate it in Nigeria. At present what we call anti -corruption is a clever game by PDP for new members with a clear message which is: join us and you are safe no matter what you do or for those who are already members : there is a need for God father protection(Adedibu and Alao Akala typifies this example). If anything, the PDP initiated the God father phenomenon and their is nothing yet to prove that it is no longer effective especially in the party. So my dear, we have not yet found the promise land talkless of going there. Please let us stop these people(Politicians) from playing with our intelligence. Nigerians are too smart for that!!! Once again, you are talking about Saminu Turaki who stole 17billion what of Peter Odili who stole more than 80 billion, or Obasanjo who had 20 thousand naira only in his bank account in 1999, but today we hear that he is worth 180 billion. I appeal to your concience, who between Odili and Turaki should be arrested? Yet Odili is free and walking about and nobody is asking any questions. My dear the leopard has not yet changed his skin and we very vulnerable sheep are very much wary!! We are yet to be impressed!!!!! |

Aisha2 ,I must confess that i was touched by your post . It really opened my eyes to many things and confirmed my worst fears which is that there is absolutely nothing that will stop the government from going after its percieved enemies. What has continued to baffle me really, is how they have been able to camoflage their real intentions behind anti-corruption and sell it to the point that people are actually applauding them while they are busy strategising on better ways of looting. It only pains me very deeply when otherwiswe wonderfull people like you Aisha2 appear to be carried away by the deception of this PDP led government. For starters can you name one serious Obasanjo loyalist that has been seriously disturbed by the EFCC talkless of arrested. It is on record that the major looters are actually Obasanjo's loyalists. People like Peter Odili, Tony Anenih, Chief Bode George, Andy Uba, e.t.c. My sister you may need to learn to read between the lines. Some of the arrested govenors who were former PDP members people like Orji Kalu are under tremendous pressure to come back to PDP and knowing nigerian politicians too well, it becomes necessary if not expedient to get these governors on the negotiating table in a manner that will put them in a poor bargainig position. Believe it or not it is a well known PDP tactics. Back to the election almost all if not all the disqualified candidates were in the oppossing parties. But to make themselves look good a few PDP local government chairmen and house of Reps aspirants were added to the list. Please my dear there is not sweet wind of change blowing in Nigeria. It is just that the PDP orligarchs have deep resentment for those not in their league enjoying state resources like them. On a personal note, Iam fully convinced that until Nigeria goes the full length against corruption like Ghana under Jerry Rawlings, every other thing we are doing is nothing but rhetorics. |
Yes IBB should be prosecuted but like i always say :I dont believe in selective justice. We have heard of a certain 2billion naira that was lost in the petroleum ministry when Buhari was the petroleum minister in the 70s. We should also investigate that.We should investigate the source of funds for setting up obasanjo farms in the 70s also. Abdulsalami Abubakar, Jeremiah Useni, In short all our military heads of state since independence must be investigated and if found liable prosecuted because what we are suffering now is the cumulative effect of all their pilferings. |
So Orji kalu is now the latest thief in town enh?. What about Obasanjo who left office covered in riches and blood, Anenih who wasted 300bilion of tax payers money in Objs 2nd term, Andy Uba who bettered himself to the tune of 1.3 trilion in declared assets or should we talk about peter odili who "dashed" the EFCC 50 billion from his proceeds in his states "pot of soup"? Until all these people are arrested to take their place in the dock with kalu and co, until then I will continue to support kalu in his travails. Away with selective justice. Nothing is as horrible as a righteous thief!! Almost all if not all the former governors collected meat from their state's "pot of soup" |
Man will always be the head of the house most importantly beacuse it is a divine order and nothing can stop it. God in his infinite wisdom and unsearchable knowledge programmed the supremacy of man from divine principles and patterns that we can catch the glimse of if when take a close look at the composition of heaven . Havent you always wondered why there is God the father, God the Son and never God the mother . Simple conclusion: womanhood is an earthly phenomenon limited solely to catering for the needs of man on earth. Also why didnt Jesus choose any woman among bis disciples? the same answer applies here: divine arrangement. Throughout the ministry of Jesus women were effective but never as members of his inner circle. Think about that. I can still shout it to the roof tops THE CREATION OF THE WOMAN IS AN AFTER THOUGHT IT WAS NOT IN GODS ORRIGINAL PLAN !!!!!. And women will always remain as man weak link to the devil refer to their ignoble role at the garden of Eden. |
