The most beautiful act of your life is to give glory to your Creator, the Owner of your life and the Creator of all. There is no better thing to do in this life than to honour and glorify God, the Almighty. Yes, God owns all the glory, all the honour, all the praise, all the thanksgiving...and all the worship. And it is even more beautiful to see that God is good; God is awesome; God is marvelous; and God is sooooo... amazing. What a loving God we serve! This God is beautiful in every way. No one serves God and regrets! With God, total victory is certain. With God, your life is bound to be beautiful. He is the Greatest Assurance. He is Most Glorious. He is El Elyon, the Most High God. I'm a living testimony of the goodness of God. Everyone of us, in one way or the other, has seen the goodness of God, even if we don't acknowledge it.

The Bible is replete with people who served God—people who gave God all the glory and their lives became beautiful. Read on as we look at these interesting declarations about God.

Abraham said "I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth" Gen 14: 22

Jacob said "Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; and this is the gate of heaven. Gen 28: 16, 17

Moses declared "There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them." Deuteronomy 33: 26 - 27

Deborah sang "Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the Lord; I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel. Lord, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water. The mountains melted from before the Lord, even that Sinai from before the Lord God of Israel." Judges 5: 3 - 5

Balam who was brought to curse the Israelites saw the power and beauty of God, and finally declared "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!" Numbers 23: 19, 23

And even when Balak, the king of the Moabites (Israel's enemies), got angry, Balam, as directed by God, declared "How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel!" Numbers 24: 5

Hannah prayed unto God praising Him "My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God" 1 Sam 2: 1 - 2

David said unto Goliath "Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied" 1 Sam 17: 45. We know David won as he destroyed Goliath. Why? David trusted God and we know that God never fails!

David was a man after God's heart. David always gave God all the glory and his life was most beautiful. God so blessed David that he is remembered today as the greatest king of Israel. Even Solomon, in his greatness, is not so admired as David. God was with David and made him prosper. If you stay with God, all the money you need and all you need will be given to you by God.

Again David sang "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." Psalm 107: 8 - 9

Solomon prayed glorifying God "Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee" 1 Kings 8: 27

Isaiah prophesied declaring the voice of God "Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it" Isaiah 40: 4 - 5

God spoke through Isaiah again "I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images" Isaiah 42:8. God does not share His glory with anyone or anything. All the glory belongs to God. Period!

Mary, the Mother of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, said with joyful heart, to the glory of God, "My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." Luke 1: 46 - 47

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, the Son of the Living God, made men know the importance of giving God the glory and having a heart of gratitude. Jesus said, "Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger." Luke 17: 17 - 18

Again, Jesus emphasized believing in God and trusting Him. In one of the greatest miracle scenes of the Bible, Jesus said "Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?" John 11: 40

And finally John, the beloved disciple of Jesus Christ, in describing the vision (revelation) he saw, resounds the awesome glory of God, as he describes the worship of the heavenly beings as they declared "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created" Rev 4: 11

In conclusion, let us put God first. Let us surrender all to Him. Let us give all the glory to God. We will continue to praise Him. We will continue to worship Him. We will continue, all the days of our lives, to give Him all the glory. God is good and He is worthy of all glory. Amen.
