For example, the robbers akiolued the baby for no reason

the fishermen akiolued the fishing net and caught lots of fish

VirginFinder:
I watched the news on STV(yesternight) and TVC (this morning) and nowhere was this alleged threat reported.

Some people must be up to mischief here.
And to think that some bastards are insulting the person of the Oba?

That said, is there anyone here who will swear he has never told another fellow in anger 'I'll kill you o'
Did you mean it?

Havent our parents and guardians at one point or the other uttered the statement "I'll kill you" in anger? Did they mean it?

If not for Christianity, people used to curse each other anyhow before now even though they didnt mean it.

I believe this was case with the Oba. Those statements were never supposed to be recorded. It was just a way telling the ibo leaders what they had to do and how they should vote. Afterall, it was the ibo leaders that decided to visit him.
I dont think he meant to implememt whatever he was said to have said.
It's a clear case of carrot and stick treatment.

Hence, at this trying time I urge all of us Yorubas to stand with the Oba.
The Oba is no doubt fighting for the interest of we Yorubas and deserves our full support.
Dont let us team up with strangers to denigrate/humiliate our dear Oba.

Every Yoruba should henceforth stand in defence of the Oba whenever and wherever the issue comes up.

In Yorubaland, no matter who is at fault, it is the younger person that apologises to the elder.

ibos and all non indigenes are subjects of the Oba of Lagos.
Even if they claim he has offended them, it is they that should find a way of apologising to him for all the insults they have hurled on him so far anfor d not the other way round.

Nobody CAN/MUST force the Oba to apologise!
Never!!

Long live the Oba of Lagos.

Eko o ni baje o.
I am really disappointed in you for covering up the misdeed of a renowed king, he should have known better, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, i am not an igbo, neither am i from the east, but because of the utterances of the king of lagos i stand with the easterners and everyone who will punish the oba by voting against his wish. Nigeria is for all of us, we have the right to choose where we resides and who we vote for. Lagos need change we will vote JIMI AGBAJE then we can celebrate his victory at the lagoon.

Sirnokiopee:
Its so sad that people are willing to make a life changing decision base on utterance of an individual (Oba comment... #mere words), emotions and sentiment. against action and proof of a tested and trusted government. thou am not scoring APC/Fashola Distinction but at least a lil bit above average.

i would expect people to vote concerning personal and individual impact you are expected to gain. not by tribal affiliation or sentimental sense of belonging.

Vote for PDP/AGBAJE .... because you believe in him that he can deliver not because someone insult your tribe or threaten (mere word) your tribe

Vote for APC/Ambode ... if only you believe in him.
U judged president GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN because of the comment made by some of his party faithfuls, there is no difference to what the oba has said, If the bottom is rotten, you trace it to the head, The Oba being a core supporter of APC has spoken the mind of the party. If i we make our judgement because of the unguided statement of one man, it is woth it. We shall all vote out APC in lagos.
PoliticsRe: Everybody In Lagos Is Supporting Him, Even Lagos State Vulcanizers Association by dipo1234: 11:40am On Apr 09, 2015
APC halts all their atrocities in lagos state in other for us to forget their misdeeds such as the woes of lastma, kai, unlawful arrest of cars and the ambiguous charges to retrieve back the cars, arrest and impounding of okada, multiple taxations, outragious toll fees the list is endless...........

Lagosians dont be deceived, these are their usual act, by the time elections are over, they return back to their usual ways and we will pay dearly for it. We have changed the government at the federal, There is no best time than this to change the leadership in lagos. Vote PDP, Vote JIMI AGBAJE

PoliticsNot Surprise About Oba Of Lagos Outburst On Igbos by dipo1234(op): 4:38pm On Apr 08, 2015
Two years ago, Oba Rilwan Akiolu raised the hands of Ambode proclaiming him as the next governor of the state in the presence of the bigwigs in the ruling party, that is to tell you that the Oba singlehandedly impose him on lagosians, so am not surprised he threaten the Igbos knowing fully well that they will not vote for his candidate. but we have our choice, GEJ lost the election and he bowed out honorably, election is meant to be won or lost, so mr Oba of lagos, If your annointed candidate loose on saturday let him bow out and tow the line of our amiable, rare president. My Igbo voter, pls go and vote on saturday and cast ur votes for your prefered candidate without any fear or intimidations.

The Oba knows exactly the meaning of his statement, he meant what he said, we will tell him with our votes that Nigeria is not a monarch but a democracy, we hve right to association and choice, the Oba had annointed Ambode two years ago, he want to force his stooge on us, we will meet at the polls
PoliticsRe: APC Wins 214 House Of Reps’ Seats by dipo1234: 8:19am On Apr 08, 2015
Who won the house of rep seat in mushin federal constituency 1(One), i was sure that it was keenly contested by Bolaji yusuf Ayinla of the APC and Oluremi Babatunde Adeyelu of the PDP. i learnt that the election was rigged in favour of the APC, but i heard another twist that the name that was announced as the winner was not BOLAJI YUSUF AYINLA. It this is true, then we are in a jungle not a country, this impunity must not stand, we have to rise up against it.
PoliticsRe: Because Of Oba's Threat, #ihavedecided by dipo1234: 5:06pm On Apr 07, 2015
Why do people love to deceive themselves on whether the oba of lagos is the spokesman of APC, two years ago, the same Oba Akiolu annointed akinwunmi ambode by raising up his hand in a political gathering saying he is the next governor of the state in the presence of the bigwigs in lagos. Whatr else can you say than he is more than a spokesman of APC. His stands is clear, he hated the Igbos for voting the PDP and he has vowed not to beg or apologise. I an not an igbo person, but based on his unguided utterances, ihavedecided. and heaven will not fall

What impunity on the part of this Oba. he appointed ambode, that is the more reason why he has to threaten the igbos. We will disappoint you, Yoruba, Igbos. indegen and non indigin we will vote massively for agbaje and notin will happen

PoliticsThe Statement Of Oba Of Lagos On The Governorship Election by dipo1234(op): 12:04pm On Apr 06, 2015
Dear Umu Anioma in Lagos,

Our attention has been drawn to a newspaper article ( http://www.thisdaylive.com/…/vote-for-ambode-or-per…/206050/) and would like to set the record straight on the threats by the Oba of Lagos which we view as capable of causing a breach of public peace and can only be construed as a deliberate attempt by the All Progressive Congress (APC) to subvert the WILL of the people of Lagos through intimidation.

As a custodian of our Anioma culture myself, I can tell you that curses placed by such Traditional rulers who drag the Monarchy into the gutter can NEVER be potent.

I therefore call on ALL Umu Anioma and non-indigenes living in Lagos to remain law-abiding and go about their business without fear.

Furthermore, we have been assured by the Jimi Agbaje Campaign that they will file a formal complaint to the appropriate authorities concerning the threats by the Oba of Lagos on those perceived not to be voting for his preferred candidate.

In the words of Naomi Klein…

“Democracy is not just the right to vote, it is the right to live in dignity.”

On April 11, 2015 I call on all eligible voters in Lagos to come out without fear to ensure their voice is heard and demand to live in dignity by coming out to exercise their franchise which is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The utterance of this Traditional ruler is regrettable and inconsequential because JEHOVAH has the last say.

JEHOVAH BU EZE!!!

Ofu Obi Bu Ike Anyi

Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!
