alex song held his own, szczesny was brilliant and i think vermaelen/koscielny axis did well.

Gervinho didn't do shitt. His job as a winger today was to beat full-backs and provide the assist, but even when he beat a defender his final pass let him down. I don't want to believe he is this bad at passing the ball. He must have misplaced 3 or more vital passes. The defense was really solid and they seemed to annihilate any threat especially on the ground.
Song was his usual bossy self and it is true he got away with what really is a red-cardable offense. Ramsey doesn't have vision enough to be a dependable attacking midfield yet. RvP was waiting but nothing really evolved. We missed Wilshere's mobility and eye for a pass.

I would like to see a good miidfielder who knows just when and how to pull strings. Song can do it but he is already excelling as a defensive midfielder.
As it is we have NO competent attacking midfielder and we need them.

Not a bad result anyways but with all the possession, we really shoulda scored.

I remember it was Ben Arfa we were 'close to signing' before we signed Nasri from Marseile. Maybe if we had signed Arfa, we would have had someone with more believe in the club than †нє one we eventually signed.

Even Nas knows he won't be missed as much as Fab. We can make several Nasris (be the way, who d ffuck is Nasri? Pls reflect about it, guys. Dude isn't as vital to arsenal as RvP, Song or even Wilshere)  but Fabs don't come too often.
I think we will recover,albeit it may take some time and a dependence on our wingers while the new arrivals settle in, but we will come good.

I remember reading sometime that Fab said he has played his last game for Arsenal. And considering the 'injuries' that have kept him from paying in our preseason games, I think he has personally pleaded with Wenger to just let him go.

A time does come when one gives in even if the deal isn't a very fair one, at least for the sake of moving on.

Its a little depressing to see a player like Nas leave tbh, rewind a year and who would have though Samir among †нє other arsenal players would be leaving. Its a shame. If City actually offered 25M for Nas as reported in today's tabloids, then I wonder why he is still an Arsenal player.

My take on the Ox signing is that the guy is probably just overrated by Arsene. Southampton know that and gave-in before it becomes clearer with time that Ox is just average. I so hope Ox proves me wrong tho.

We are so not a contender this season, and if not for the foreseen failure of clubs like L'pool to live up to expectation, we shouldn't even be think of ECL. With Verm injured and Clichy out we are worse than last season. We need two CBs and not just one if we are to compete with Manure.

Manure to win the league rather easily this season. Thats a team who know what is required and does it FAST.
