The IS250 (2006 - 2009)..

The Is250 is a small sedan vehicle and has same engine with the Gs250 of same period, totally different from the Es350 which has the 2gr4 engine.

It's a sexy compacted sedan with little leg room for a adults behind. It's usually a starter pack lexus for singles or a very young family.

It's acceleration is not really as fast as it looks, but a V6 engine in a small saloon would sure give you good speed.

What I love about cars of this standard is because they come with a lot of modules, rather than your engine and tranny getting ruined, the modules are affected first and a good scanner would pinpoint the actual module which needs a change.(non accident cars)

Defects: The IS250 has interior material problems that tend to melt over time and under hot atmosphere, which is prone to scratches and pilings of the dashboard material over time. Not just the dashboard, but also the doormats which same material was used. It's not an easy job to fix(re-leather), but I have fixed a couple and I know it can be done very close to factory standard.

Leathers: its seat leathers are prone to cracks and tears because the perforated seat to allow ventilation for the heat or cool constantly tends to dry our the leather over time..

Upgrade: the is250 can be face lifted to what people assume as 2013, but it's not really the 2013 design, but rather has the V trademark of modern lexus front bumpers. Which comes at a price because the factory headlight with autoliftings and blindspot focus would have to go, while regular more fancy halogen headlights are installed. Alongside some portion of the beam would have to be cut off, which reduces safety.

Plastics: the plastics in the car are a bit delicate and could break easily if not properly handled right.

Legs: its shocks are great and could last really long, but its major defect is the electronic power steering rack that is quite expensive compared to non electronic and could easily be damaged by constant flooding. When it's bad, it comes with a rattle noise that sounds like a bad bushing or a bad shock, but it's actually the steering rack.

Asides all this, which every car has it's own issues, it's an awesome car that catches attention especially when its neat and upgraded.

2003 Accord. 2012 to 2015
Pulled off twice.
First during a journey, no click whatsoever before leaving, parked to get stuff at the expressway after driving about 3hrs, turned the steering.. light clicks... trafficated to the main road and BINGO! Leg pulled!!

Second one was the most embarassing ever, backed out of the parking lot and it dropped right there...

Your defence wont stop a couple of Accords and CRVs from pulling off today and beyond like someone stepped on banana peel.

By the way, i have witnessed a CRV leg pull outside the country once so Face the fact that it is a design flaw and it will fall off if you are not careful enough. It's what almost every old Accord user knows so calm yourself and let those who's got a solution help those who wants to enjoy the affected models bro.

well I said 90+% of times that bow joint failed the car is slow on speed for a reason,I started driving October 1992 with a six wheel Bedford Tj610 six wheel farm truck,since then I have owned and driven two 404 Peugeot pickups,Mazda 323 panel van,Nissan sunny,Volvo 240 padded,Opel Omega,Mazda b2000 pickup,Honda babyboy,Dodge ram pickup v8,Acura RL v6,Honda Accord DC,and believe me in all my years of driving and owning the good the bad and ugliest of cars I have encountered not less than 50 bow joint failures and none has ever happened at high speed.

Every car parts bolted together can fail. This applies to any car make and model, no exceptions.

But it is a clear fact that the suspensions of some particular model and years of Honda especially the Accords and CRVs are prone to easy fail compared to other makes and models of vehicle

Except of course if we want to start deceiving ourselves and play the game of Ignorance.

My question is what car of car is it that a dealership will service with such oil? We all know you can get a good full synthetic oil with that amount so I humbly repeat my question, what kind of car are we talking about here?

If the break pads haven’t worn off for almost two years is it not better than change every 3-6 months.

they gave me this list just to service car not that bad though instead of buying mobile 1 and give it to roadside mechanic.

Op nice DIY information.

But you should know that not all vehicles one can easily access the shift cable. I know about it when the 2009 Toyota Sienna at home developed the Same problem, the gear shift was too free wen shifting between gears but the vehicle did not engage.

Thought it was an electric fault, called the electrician, after several checks, the electrician discovered it was the shift cable, and it was a Sunday no mechanics available. He opted to do it himself due to experience.

Oga electrician almost dismantled the entire dashboard console just to locate the Shift cable, even after several parts been removed the Shift cable was still a problem to crab hold of completely, he just managed the space and room he had.

He did a little DIY with some parts of an old rubber slippers, cotton wool and super glue.

That got the job done.

This vehicle was gotten brand new from Honda place. The vehicle has been driven just 3 times since 2019 until it was put up for sale. If a responsible buyer needs the Vin of a vehicle all he has to do is reach out to seller. There's a reason 2 numbers were listed for further enquiries. A number of prospective buyers have reached out to me from this platform and Vin and videos have been sent to them. Let's all act responsibly and do the right thing.
About mileage, please lets be guided.
I have a 2012 Porsche cayenne gotten brand new with 7k miles
I also have a 2014 honda accord gotten brand new with 20k kms
I sold a 2014 Cla 250 with 10k kms.

Please don't say what you don't know or aren't certain of. The fact you're used to running badly driven Tokunbo vehicles doesn't mean that's the standard for every user.
