How did almighty USA lost to slippers talliban |
The Taliban victory is a major humiliation for the US, but perhaps that’s the silver lining of the Afghan tragedy. Last week’s turn of events in Afghanistan has been utterly shocking but hardly surprising. The Taliban’s blistering takeover of the country’s main cities was breathtaking in its speed and ease, culminating in their march on the capital almost unopposed as President Ashraf Ghani fled the country. It was expected, yes, but no so rapidly, so victoriously, so humiliatingly. nored the writing on the wall, prolonging the inevitable, while failing to prepare for it. It took the US and its allies only two months to “liberate” Kabul from the grip of the Taliban in 2001, and less than two years for the smug Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, to declare at a news conference in Kabul on May 1, 2003, that “major combat activity” was over. But it was not over. Not by any measure. As the US occupation stumbled, the deposed Taliban regrouped and launched a merciless asymmetrical war on the US and Afghan government forces for much of the following two decades. But successive US administrations deliberately deceived the American public into thinking everything was dandy on the war front in Afghanistan, when in fact, it was anything but – just as they did previously during the Vietnam war. The scene of US personnel fleeing Kabul last week, just as they did Saigon in 1975, was downright eerie. The US has suffered a few thousand casualties, but tens of thousands of Afghan security forces have died, and an untold number of civilians have become the real victims of the war, which has destroyed the lives and livelihoods of countless families and communities. During the past decade, the Taliban has demolished Washington’s “clear, build and hold” strategy, terrorising entire communities that cooperated with the US forces. The total collapse of the Afghan government forces following the withdrawal of the remainder of US combat troops has left many in Washington and other western capitals scratching their heads for answers. Some of these answers have been readily available by the “we-told-you-so” war sceptics, who long warned that Afghanistan was a proven “graveyard of empires”, whether it is the 19th-century British empire or the 20th-century Soviet empire. In the words of the ancient Greek Macedonian emperor, Alexander the Great, Afghanistan is “easy to march into but hard to march out of”. But an overconfident post-Cold War America was in no mood for such historical references after the 9/11 attacks hit at the heart of its economic and military symbols in New York and Washington and killed almost 3,000 Americans. Those of us who warned against waging vengeful wars and occupying faraway lands as a way to combat “global terrorism” and establish a “pax America” in the greater Middle East, were ignored. The Bush administration’s decision to launch a second disastrous and costly war against Iraq left Afghanistan in dire straits, and for all practical purposes, Washington was unable to recover the initiative afterwards. The failure of the Obama administration’s Afghanistan-Pakistan strategy of troop surge signalled the beginning of the end of the war. From then on, only its pride prevented it from recognising the obvious and acting on it. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/opinions/2021/8/16/the-us-the-taliban-and-the-stunning-defeat-in

God1000:$700,000 with 800 bases, now divide it and figure out how much they spend on Thier own country defense. They spend a measly $40b on Thiers, compare it to china that spends over $300b on Thier own country and in case you don't know china gets things and build things cheaper,so what that 700b would buy in USA china can get for less than 200b |
Flamees:The Fvck are you saying,so who are you going to recruit into your army ,flies abi |
God1000:Which kind mumu talk this one dey yarn, you think it's by wasting money, china has more money to burn and More population,an army that is 3 times the size of USA, why isn't your USA with it's $30t debt fighting Russia. The $40b just sent to Ukraine was borrowed from the same china |
Hyperchi:Japan is not a country, it's an American colony |
Parachoko:It's very likely they invade regardless, Taiwan has unofficially declared independence already, USA is not adhering to the one china policy again and started making some bold claims like defending Taiwan millitarily if china invades, they wouldn't say that if they recognize Taiwan as part of china |
You have to give this to the Russians even if you're supporting Ukraine, it's impressive hoe they've managed to not only survive but thrive under this sanctions. Seun, lalasticlala, mynd44 we need to see this on FP At least Bloomberg Is an American source |
Lalasticlala, Seun, mynd 44 push this to FP |
Walahi at this rate ruble will soon be more valuable than dollar, putin be praying for more sanctions now |
Russia has become the most sanctioned country in the world. Thanks to Thier arrogance USA and the west always see sanctions as a way to blackmail countries into doing it's biddings, they did it to Iran, Venezuela,Cuba, North Korea,Iraq, afghanistan, somalia, Belarus, Serbia and a couple other dozen countries. And for the most part this usually works. It worked until Their pride edged them on to take on a country that is a super power Which is Russia. After thousands of sanctions not only is Russia recording more sales from it's oil and gas than ever .trade between Russia and china has increased by over 40% compared to pre sanction era, Russia is now selling more gas than ever and now it is selling it's gas in RUBLES which is a big blow for dollar. The Russian currency is now THE HIGHEST PERFORMING CURRENCY IN THE WORLD, it went from 141 rubles to a dollar to now 51 rubles to a dollar in just 3 months. Gas is now an expensive commodity in the west now with it's price now doubling and increasing as the say goes by, rice of cost of living too has plagued the west because of sanctions imposed on Russia,so it is safe to say the sanctions has backfired and not improved anything for the west. To top it all off major countries are now losing faith In Dollar purchases, countries like Iran, Saudi, china, Venezuela, are now looking to trade in their own local currency.

The king of kings, all of you western slaves will bow to the master strategists. Russia is the definition of too big to fail |
