It is now obvious to all and sundry that Tinubu has moved from being the overlord in 2015 to an underdog in 2022, just a year to the election. It's even possible that it'll not just rain but pour on Tinubu. Everything that could get wrong is getting wrong to the point that it'll be an upset for Mr Tinubu to come second in the election. In fact, he may likely drag number 3 with Kwakwanso. How did it get so bad for the Lagos landlord?

I think he hadn't reckoned with the emergence of Obi, but rather anticipated a contest between the north and the south. Tinubu was depending on Southern sentiment to arm twist the north with cries of it's the turn of the south. Unfortunately for him, Obi happened and Nigerians just love him. It's obvious that Tinubu has invested heavily in northerners to buy their loyalty prior to this time. The man and his mafia had hoped that PDP would field a Southerner from SE/SS. They would have used tribalism, religion and ethnic hatred to arm twist the north to support Tinubu who would have been sold as 'a friend of the north' but unfortunately for Tinubu, Atiku happened and became his nemesis in the North. The north no longer need a friend but "one of their own".

With Atiku in the picture, Tinubu panicked ... Atiku is a Muslim and Tinubu has no hope of mass votes in the south. The SE and SS are no go areas for him. Now the north that he banked on for years is slipping off his fingers. What was he to do? Tinubu goofed and went to a Muslim running mate to counter Atiku.

He effectively became the only candidate with an opponent in the north stopping his progress and an opponent in the south stopping his progress. That is the story of Tinubu. From overlord to an underdog. He will come a distant 3rd in the next year presidential election.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was the centre of attraction at an event after he offered his seat to Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The dramatic incident took place at an event organised to celebrate the national award given to the President of the African Export-Import Bank, Prof. Benedict Oramah.

In a viral video, the former president was seen calling up Obi who was sitting at table nine, and then leading him to table one.

The switch was greeted with applause by the audience in attendance.

As he went forward to pick the former Anambra State governor from his former seat, Obasanjo said, “In the presence of Nigerians”.

After leading Obi to table one, he declared, “My job is done”.

Rico Swavey: Alex Unusual Slams Hospitals Over Delayed Treatment

Former Big Brother Naija's housemate, Alex Unusual, has slammed Nigerian hospitals who delay treatment of patients because of money.

She said this on her InstaStory on Thursday.

Alex Unusual, who is currently mourning her friend, Rico Swavey, who died on Thursday following a car crash, lashed out at the hospitals, stating that they cause so much pain with their stalling.

She said, “May God punish these hospitals that take time to start working on people that are rushed to the hospital. You have caused so much pain all for what? What is money that you let lives go like this by stalling?”

Obi under fire over Enenche's appointment into presidential campaign council

Outrage has trailed the appointment of former Director of Information at the Nigerian Defence Headquarters, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, as a member of the Presidential Campaign Organisation of Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi.

Enenche was accused of allegedly claiming photos and videos of unarmed #EndSARS demonstrators at Lekki Tollgate shooting on October 20, 2020 were photoshopped.

Obi released a list of his campaign team, which had 1,234 names, including the Enenche appointed as a representative of the North-Central.

Since the release of the list, it has sparked up different controversies. Enenche's inclusion in the list has added more woes to the current predicament of the party

It stirred mixed reactions on social media platforms especially from Obi's supporters. His supporters argued that Enenche's appointment is a big slap to Obi's presidential ambition.

Reacting, popular investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo said: "By appointing John Enenche, an officer who claimed photos and videos of slain #EndSARS protesters were 'photoshopped', into his presidential campaign council, Peter Obi confirms what many have always said: he is 'one of them'.

@I_Am_Ilemona said: "Enenche acted as an enemy of the youth and with blithe disregard for the sanctity of human life. He and anyone who chooses to have him on his campaign team are both enemies of the people and deserve no place near the nation's highest political office. Pure and simple."

Celebs Mourn BBNaija’s Rico Swavey

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Rico Swavey, is dead. He died from injuries he sustained in a road accident in Lagos.

His death was announced by his colleagues on their social media pages on Thursday.

Some celebrities and friends have taken to social media to mourn him and pay tributes to his memory.

BBNaija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, shared throwback pictures of a chat with Rico and wrote, "The actual warmest human being. This is truly heartbreaking. Rest in Peace Rico.”

Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, posted his picture with an heartbreak emoji saying, "R.I.P RICO”

Alex Unusual, who broke the news of his accident on Tuesday wrote, "This was not what we agreed Rico. Rest In Peace #ricoswavey.”

Oyekan and his team were en route Sword of the Spirit Ministries of Bishop Francis Wale Oke when they're vehicle ran under a trailer.

They survived the crash and made it to their destination.

A tweep, Dinchi, has shared the experience of some Nigerians, who were detained at the airport in Dubai with their passports seized.

Dinchi, who shared video and photo from the scene claimed that the incident happened on Wednesday.

She tweeted, "This is the situation happening with Nigerians arriving Dubai today 31st August 2022. Detained and our passports seized. Help!"

"Is it a crime to be Nigerian? How can a visa be issued to you and then you get held at the airport without information?

"Nigerians should stop visiting Dubai. Cos we cannot be humiliated this way by the same people that issued us visas. Use your money to come and get humiliated? Nah."

In the video, some Nigerians can be seen attempting to state their cases to an official but he was merely insisting that they get out of his office.

"My sister had to go through immigration to get me released. It was a tedious process. Others are still there and don't know their status. What happens if you have no family here? Nobody knows what is going on," she added.
