A Nigerian Social media influencer identified as Christabel has died from a botched surgery in Lagos.

Christabel, according to the friend, died from

excessive bleeding days after the completion of the

surgery.

She said the deceased complained to the surgeons about her bleeding, but they shrugged it off, claiming it was normal post-surgery and the bleeding would stop.

The lady revealed that when friends didn't hear from Christabel for days, they checked the hospital and the hospital gave them a letter showing that her body had been deposited at the morgue.

She urged the state government to investigate the hospital and get justice for Christabel.

What if APC filled in Mr. Onu or Dave Umahi? The gravity of their 8 years failure as a party and the lack of popularity of the two in the South will still not make them lose.

3. South East has never had a most popular candidate like Peter Obi. The entire Southern elite loves Peter Obi! Infact, Afenifere which is a political pressure group for South West is backing Peter Obi for 2023 because he represents what the Southern elite see as good political leadership.

You may claim his popularity is on Twitter, but the Twitter generation is now of voting age and if you filled in their kind of candidate, they will vote massively for such person and that’s 20 million votes guaranteed.

Politics is simply leadership via popularity. Politics is about the process of electing and the process of servicing the electorate.

I hope that we all now know that there is no better people who should talk about politics than entrepreneurs, because even in developed nations like U.S. and U.K., you will see that everyone is involved in the conversation of how they are governed, particularly entrepreneurs.

Seeking elective position however is another thing all together, as that is an aspect of politics I am not interested in. I was taught politics since I was a baby. I love politics and I intend to be more politically vocal in the years to come.

I cannot contest for an elective office because I do not support the type of money politics we play in Nigeria, and I can’t afford such. I cannot pay anyone to serve them not even when I would have lost so much by retiring from my business to contest.

However, to the Elephant in the room, the 2023 general elections, the two political parties have major flaws that might make them lose 2023 presidential election if the 3rd Force chooses to become selfless and carry out this strategies;

Deborah’s mother unconscious as slain student’s corpse arrives Niger for burial

The corpse of Deborah Samuel, student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, who was burnt to death on Thursday for alleged blasphemy, has arrived Tunga Magajiya in Rijau local government area of Niger State.

It was gathered that Deborah’s mother has been unconscious since she heard of her death while the father has been inconsolable.

The family is in a meeting to determine how the burial will take place.

It was learnt that when the body was on its way to Niger State, the Sokoto State Government called it should be returned as body has become government property.

But her family insisted she would be buried today.

Speaking on the issue , Pastor of the family, who is in charge of 1st ECWA in Tunga Magajiya, Pastor Emmanuel Maaji, confirmed the family wants her buried on Saturday.

He said the family is not happy with the way the government is handling the issue with kid gloves.

He disclosed that the body of Deborah was brought in a chartered bus, adding that immediately after the driver dropped the body, he returned to Sokoto.

He said that Deborah had been living with family members in Sokoto since her primary school days, lamenting she died like she did.

“The government only called and said that it is not right for the family to take the body like that without informing them. They said that they shouldn’t bury the body as the body is for the government and not for the family. They asked them to put the body in the mortuary,” Maaji stated.

The CAN Coordinator of Rijau Local Government area, Reverend Danjuma Doma, confirmed the family and church were preparing for the burial.

“We are preparing for the burial. She will be buried today. We are all here to give the family support. We will update you on the situation as it goes,” he informed.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has extended their strike action by 12 weeks starting from 12; 01 am on Monday, 2022.

ASUU President, Emmanuel Asodeke who announced the extension in a press statement said the union took the decision after the National Executive Council had an emergency meeting at their secretariat at the University of Abuja.

Asodeke said after they extensively deliberated on government intervention to end the strike action so far and discovered that the government refused to live up to their responsibilities to the issues which they raised at the 2020 FGN/ASUU MOU they decided to roll over the strike to 12 weeks to give government time to satisfactorily resolve all the outstanding issues.

Asodeke said the union is disappointed, according to him, the committee which the Federal government set up to resolve the lingering strike issue, did not call one single meeting till date.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, has condemned the unruly conduct of the Police officer caught in a viral video, singing, dancing, and brandishing a rifle in praise of a particular confraternity (cult). The officer has been identified as Corporal Matthew Isaac, attached to the Ebonyi State Police Command.

The act of the officer in question, which is clearly calculated to portray the NPF negatively, is a discreditable conduct in line with the provisions of the First Schedule to Regulation 370 of the Police Regulations. His actions equally violated the provisions of the NPF Social Media Policy (SMP), penal laws, and other extant laws regulating the conduct and discipline of all Police officers.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, has directed the Commissioner of Police in charge of Ebonyi State to detail the Command's OC Provost to hand over the erring officer to the Force Provost Marshall for necessary disciplinary actions. “Chelsea Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjoerg Wyss, to acquire the Club.

Of the total investment being made, £2.5bn will be applied to purchase the shares in the Club and such proceeds will be deposited into a frozen UK bank account with the intention to donate 100% to charitable causes as confirmed by Roman Abramovich. UK Government approval will be required for the proceeds to be transferred from the frozen UK bank account.

In addition, the proposed new owners will commit £1.75bn in further investment for the benefit of the Club. This includes investments in Stamford Bridge, the Academy, the Women’s Team and Kingsmeadow and continued funding for the Chelsea Foundation.

The sale is expected to complete in late May subject to all necessary regulatory approvals. More details will be provided at that time”.
