Abia is like Imo state. The two are unique in Nigeria.

Unique in the sense that indegenes of areas where the capital city of the two states are located do not want any atom of development from the state governments to be extend beyond the state capital.

If there is still any left, let them advice Okorocha to complete the roads his govt started in the three major towns in his state.

From Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe - citizens in thousands daily curse Rochas Okorocha over these abandoned road works.

The most strong person is enough to collapse from the curses citizens navigating these roads place on Okorocha.

To court the north's friendship because his SS people are in disarray, Jonathan placed more of his development projects in the north, including the first standard gauge rail in Nigeria built between Kaduna and Abuja and cost $1.05 billion. Amaechi commissioned the rail line recently. But there is hardly any all seasons road in their SS.

Ahaaaaaaa, you caught it. 2019 election is brewing. One Naija now at the hands of northern ex-military dictatorship class. IBB, methinks is also warming up.

Long before beginning of the last presidential election campaign, these northern people attended every important Owambe party in Yoruba land. They knew then that Yoruba votes were very vital to unseat Jonathan.
Now with Yoruba VP, these north people know that SE/SS votes shall be vital to beat the Yoruba VP.

Only a few southern states is what any northern presidential candidate supported by most of north needs to win presidential election in today's Nigeria.

Nigeria was politicaly restructured by northern soldiers who wrongly used Land mass as criterion to create 20 new Federal units in once one northern region, but only 17 units in once two southern region.

A presidential candidate needs 25% votes from 24 of the 36 states to win. North created 19 states and Abuja for north.

It's no more easy to restructure this in a democracy.

Excuses. Tha means the govts in the states and federal failed. It does not cost fortunes to governments to keep roads motorable if not for corruption and wicked leadership in Nigeria. In other countries, by the time you wake up from sleep, bad roads would have been repaired or asfsalted many miles long.

Enugu-All the roads from Obollo afor down to Oji river are terrible.
Taraba- No road at all from mutum biyu to wukkari, to takum- to zing to Jalingo etc etc
Bayelsa- The prefer water so no need to talk about roads.
Abia- If there is an award for worst road of the year, Aba would have been winning it year in, year out.
Even in Lagos, we have bad roads so this is not the only bad road in Nigeria neither is it the worst.

The honest truth is that the Yorubas can not govern themselves without Abuja.

If the better south (Niger Delta and Biafra) seccedes , you will not waste one minute fighting yourselves over who will serve as proxy head of the Yoruba people under northern rule.

This is the beautiful truth.

You would have decided to look into forming a common southern alliance with your southern neighbours but the igbos will have nothing to do with you given your history of treachery and betrayal stemming from the role you played in the brutal civil war 50yrs ago. The Niger Delta on the other hand have a more recent history of your betrayal in the role you played in derailing, insulting and eventually removing their son from office.

As things stand now, you guys are doomed for Hausa/Fulani occupation.

True Muslims try to have their own countries where they worship their Allah without the "unclean" people near them.

That's part of reasons why Pakistan and Bangladesh freed themselves from India where the colonial masters mixed different religious and cultural groups together in old India - as they did in Nigeria in 1914.

In any case, 12 northern Nigeria states have carved out a quasi country with adopting sharia criminal codes. Sharia criminal codes are not constitutional in Nigeria, that means, those sharia states are like they have separated from Nigeria.

It's only some Yaribas who blackmail the easterners and Deltans to remain in one Nigeria with Yoruba and the new quasi sharia country in the north.
