Cousin9999:
The UK is shameless.
How so? Have you seen any response from the UK side? The government do not control the airports allocation. The airlines flying into Gatwick, Luton and Stanstead can't afford the very in demand slots at Heathrow. Its first come first serve no discounts. The available slots obviously don't favour flypeace

The bigger airlines won't allow other take slots they've paid for in block years in advance

Blue line route is more industrial than residential. ALSO,Phase 2 that extends to residential areas is ongoing
Red line will have more impact than blue line in its CURRENT form.

The whole system will make even more impact when they get linked at Marina in some few years
TravelRe: Lagos Red Line Rail Begins Partial Operations (Pictures) by DisGuy(mod): 11:42am On Aug 29, 2024
Very good, the red line will have bigger impact than the current blue line of few stations. More passenger will ply this route if they open all the station- though I feel Ogun state should be punished by not opening up the agbado station UNTIL their state government repair the road around the station- it's awful!

The test trains are obviously not the new Talgo trains- they are InterCity 125 HST shipped in from the UK late last year

Very frustrating...shameful

I hope whatever system they have in place now is sustainable. The deal with Siemens should have been ring fenced instead of this stop and start we've been having. We will find out how far they have gone after the rains

The Katsina state govt is already asking the FG to hand it over to the state......you need not blame a minister who just came in barely a year for the decades of rot we have 8n our energy space. ..... The remains ,he is up and doing and making some progress.
stating the collective failure- never mentioned the current minister

Katsina state that has no fed itself or protected itself ...Here's hoping the windmills are given to private firms
PoliticsRe: FG Targets Generation Of 6,000 Megawatts Power Before 2025 – Minister by DisGuy: 8:51am On Aug 14, 2024
Lithiumite:
Hope u got lots of energy......go check REA Nigeria and see how many solar projects they alone are handling not to talk off other govt agencies.....Katsina alone has one of the largest wind energy farms in Africa when completed.

Go read your initial post and see how uninformed you sound.those countries u mentioned do not have only solar as their primary source of power.....no govt would encourage that.
18months Project of 2007 or there abouts.....almost 20 years still uncompleted-abandoned!
TravelRe: Keyamo Writes UK Over Air Peace, May Bar BA, Virgin From Lagos, Abuja Airports by DisGuy(mod): 1:54am On Aug 13, 2024
Keyamo was unavailable for comments when he was contacted by TheCable
Why is the cable trying to get comments from Keyamo instead of Transport Secretary or Heathrow CEO

This is like the 10 braggado letter the ministers will be writing to Nigerian press huffing and puffing

BA/Virgin can pay for premium slots in lagos and Abuja, its not like they're fighting for space in a busy airport

Heathrow is managed privately, they can't force them to find a slot for Nigerian airline, the airline will have to pay for premium slots- which most likely will make their Lagos-London price uncompetitive

“We found that [JAMB] never admitted the candidate because she was underage. The university admitted and registered the candidate

Many people are missing this part of the article..

Plus most EU admission age is pegged at 18.

I think they should lower the admission age for diploma to 16, this way kids at 16 can complete Diploma course or other Certifications. They can even allow those with diplomas direct entry to YR2 University after completion

Foreign AffairsRe: Cote D’ivoire Signs $1.5 Billion Deal For A Metro In Abidjan by DisGuy: 1:46am On Jun 06, 2024
The amendment was signed last month following the completion of a funding package for the project, which includes a €250m loan from the French government. The contract has come into force and is now worth €1.77bn , according to Bouygues.
The construction phase is scheduled to take five and a half years to complete, following which Line 1 will enter commercial service.

so important!! I don't know why contractors don't build this as a prerequisite. is it any more expensive than building one without.
all of them will be moving about with COREN this and that

pedestrians and motorist will be hassling for space, just imagine school kids and mothers with prams cant even move freely
PropertiesRe: Pls Help, Is Lusada A Good Place To Buy Land. by DisGuy: 3:01pm On Dec 08, 2023
2dmax:
my 2 cents.
Alagbado is for now more populated than lusada but both have same proximity to main towns in lagos(imo).
But for real, u cant beat the pop and infrastructure explosion that will hit lusada and environs when the 10 lane road will be completed and commissioned.
If i was in your shoes, would buy an acre @ lusada (in one of d estates) with dat money and fence it 3 coaches round den sit tight for the next 3-4 years, resell 3 plots and use the pay to build my desire on 1 plot and use 2 plots for ma self. That's how enterprenuer thinks.
No disregard to mum and uncle idea though, but u should ask urself if u r an investor or a retiree, den dat should fuel ur decision.
Lusada is more akin to lekki in infrastructure, than alagbado, which is more like a potential iyana ipaja in future.
As i said, ma 2 cents

Things have changed, you might see some trust still offering but most of them are in deficit so all the perks dried up.

Once you move that's if you do, you will come across better offers even within your trust once you're settled in. Once you're in the NHS and with the right attitude ( work and social) the possibilities are endless!!

Good luck with whatever decision you take
