tushqueen: Thanks for the response, let me reframe the question. I will present all necessary documents/evidence required. Does she need evidence of savings in her name as well?
I believe my account statement should cover her before people with experience chip in, I will say based on what has been advised here previously, you have to emphasis you are sponsoring fully, if possible make a budget breakdown of her travel plans and cost in the application summary with reference to your account ot if you have created a special account for the trip for her---you still have to demonstrate her strong ties to the country |

Thanks. some towns don't have ride hailing app like uber/bolt/Kapten ;they have local ones specific to that area, the cabs in those areas operate a call and book service- if it's a big firm they might have an app like data cars, happicabs etc |

hustla: Hello @Justwise and my other Ogas at the top
Just finished watching a video where the lady spoke about the difficulties of getting a professional job without actual UK experience
For those going in for 2 yr courses, will the 1 yr internship suffice for UK experience? Some jobs or should I say some sectors are difficult to get into. So it depends. 1 year internship is valuable, Some sectors like IT, healthcare your experience is your experience. Networks, systems in Timbuktu, New Delhi is usually the same as those in Derby, Dundee etc minus +- 1 the rest depends on your soft skills and how you present your application or CV |

Prospective International Students
Please try as much as possible to arrive well before the resumption date- A month or some few weeks before lectures start
Give yourself time to settle in, arrange accommodation and job if possible. the Earlier the better
You will be competing with a lot of other international students for houses/flats and jobs and as usual the early birds gets all the juicy spots. |

tushqueen: Hi my people, I have a 4year old daughter who couldn't get admission for 2021/2022 academic session because she only clocked 4 in Oct. She attends 15hours free nursery currently.
I proceeded to www.childcare.gov.uk to apply for her 30hours free nursery but I couldn't proceed to get the eligibility code. I was asked to provide 2 of 4 documents; P60, tax credit, UK passport or northern Ireland driving license. I can only provide P60 form.
Are they stylishly saying this 30hours free nursery is for British citizens only? We live in England with no recourse to public fund. Please enlighten me The eligibility criteria is on the same page https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare?step-by-step-nav=f517cd57-3c18-4bb9-aa8b-1b907e279bf9

Do I require a negative PCR test in Nigeria to fly back into UK as a fully vaccinated UK resident ?… I can see that the Nigerian travel portal is still requiring me to fill out and go pay for PCR test in Nigeria before I return .. Even though the UK doesn’t need Covid-19 test to enter from fully vaccinated residents. What do you advice? No, you don't When travelling out of Nigeria, you don't need the Nigerian travel portal. did you do your test when you arrived in Nigeria? |

Lexusgs430: It's a convenience to drive a vehicle legally.... PLEASE don't drink and drive....... If caught by the police, your punishment would just be with the court system..........
If you cause any form of accident, your insurance would be deemed null and void (with liability to only the 3rd party) & the insurance company would chase you for compensation......... It can get really costly...... So true. Driving when not properly licensed or insured is one of the fastest way to get into the bad books. It can be so tempting to think one will get away with things like getting inadequate insurance, driving without proper license An acquaintance who's not sorted out his papers got caught drink driving last week- using his brothers license! |

amanze54: Honestly feel that guy "Uzor' might be some how right, I look around here and I see the strange eyes the whites look at the blacks, an economic migrantt, infact I was looking at one elderly black man in the bus, he looks so defeated and out of place, it is very clear at old age, the reality start downing on you that you don't belong here, the expression of the people around will display it. It will be clear the segregation, but at this age u can summont it, but when u get old, it becomes a strange feeling, cos you appear in the mist of white. at different bus station, the black kids move only with the black. You will eventually feel odd at old age. Now while here, I realized why older Nigerian will prefer to return home. It is even evident in some care home I have been, I hardly see any black old man, I keep wondering where they keep them Who are they? Where the white man keep the black old men? Have you thought maybe they could be at home with their families just like many other old white people? |

Lexusgs430: Why the fascination with owning a property in Nigeria?.... What use is the property, if the person got no more plans in Nigeria?.....
I would rather own 3 properties in the UK, than 12 in Nigeria........
Your father is/was very wrong...... You can live abroad forever (and be buried abroad).........
Never attempt to be that God in Nigeria, whilst living like a slave abroad....... Those you are attempting to Lord over, would continually live their lives, when you kick that bucket...... They would only mourn you for a few hours......... Exactly why i am growing grey hair left right and centre with my young self I give up... I cant come and go and kiii myself |

But congrats to her anyways. Getting a good job isn't always an easy feat. Afriqan: Lol. Honestly, I wonder why the OP considered it front page worthy. There are lots of Nigerians working at Amazon...
This one right here is even a bigger story, she became a manager at Amazon:

Please I need advice.. @justwise and all Since you are already in the country you will know most flexible job etc retail, healthcare support etc require no degree and just some training to get going. Depending on where you're based she can continue her tailoring if in a big city. You will have to plan around childcare |

I've read about the hassle Nigerian immigration give people without their Nigerian passport or visa to show entry, apparently some have been able to avoid the hassle by showing proof they are in the process of renewing their passport- paper works, officer on speed dial etc etc
its a big mess, backlogs everywhere, passport expired April this year and cant face the hassle of the High Commision here especially with all the stories and procedures changing weekly |
