Can cell phone cause cylinder gas explosion? How?

Extremely unlikely....but in naija superstition/beer parlour gist etc etc makes the absurd the norm

Op please try another method. Encourage her to take the call elsewhere after reducing the gas...the call might be important to her

I don't think it's a good idea to mention the name of the clinic, the location is enough info....especially as you've not really started.

Will also like to add, Manchester is very affordable they have many towns with good transport links to the centre.

panpan:
I want to assume what Abike Dabiri meant is that it is Nigerians without a Nigerian passport who are required to pay for "visa on arrival".

A Nigerian passport holder with dual citizenship should not be asked to pay for "visa on arrival".

You'll only pay if your NG passport is expired, it's basically like paying for Emergency travel certificate, in this case in Nigeria

All the embassies are currently closed or operating with skeletal services and a huge backlog of people trying to renew their passports due to Covid19

Can't the surroundings be properly landscaped to improve the aesthetics...everything in this country is just upside down puah! ...spits on Buhari & Amaechi ofcourse not forgetting the OP that posted this rubbish

it's a port environment, this is the cargo side still under construction.

The passenger stations on the other hand should be properly landscaped- with well laid green lawns- would be highly disappointed if they don't keep it clean- Moniya for example is very dusty at present

At first, the trip seemed boring. Boring because I had a different expectation for the the country. So when I got there and it has the same structure or building style of European countries, I wasn't wowed. However, since I was there, I had to make the best out of the trip and enjoy it.

I wanted to go inside the UN office to explore, but when I asked, I was told that due to Covid-19, they no longer allow tourists into the premises. Of course, Covid-19 is a good reason for anything. Lol.

I shall took some pictures of the gate or surrounding should incase someone decides to visit or for your viewing pleasure.

Joyeux Noel.

A European country having a different style?

So I am really weighing my options. Or I should just channel my energy into immigration Canada

best bet is to ask for someone that has lived in both countries

I have a few questions if you have answers kindly respond.

1. Where do you suggest someone studying in University of Chester gets an accommodation.

2. Do you have an idea if I can get an accommodation at a cheaper rate </= £300 pcm?

3. Please what do I need to do before proceeding to apply for a job? (Like things to get done first - police certificate? NIN? etc? How do I go about it?) Call to apply for your National Insurance number, as per covid, they're very hard to get hold off with workers working from home etc

4. Do you know anyone that is studying or have studied in Chester? (last year September intake or before then)

5. Is it compulsory I leave London immediately after isolation to school to get my BRP? Can I wait a few days? No, if you have a place to stay and your course has not started yet. You might have to do some initial registration in school, no?

6. How do I buy a train/bus ticket from London to Chester. What do you suggest? Like most things, you can buy these online or download the relevant apps- e.g trainline for train tickets, national Express coach. I think the main coach company suspended service last lockdown, not sure if they are back on the road. Tip book your tickets a week or some days ahead for cheaper prices

7. How can one apply for a job? What sites can I view? (I know about indeed.co.uk)

8. How and where can I register my SIM card for NIMC? I was unable to get my NIN in Nigeria.
Nimc? You can get a sim in the shop or order one online. If nigerian sim, they released some locations for the UK but not heard anyone who has done this plus there's a lockdown

9. What network provider and bank account is best to use? (I have read about Monzo). IMO Most banks here are about the same in terms of offering and customer service monzo, starling are good quick starters same with mobile networks, they're pretty much on par esp the 'mainstream' ones

Thank you!

Good luck

After my studies in 2010, I just concluded that the difference between developed and developing nations are too much. 19th century Europe was far more developed than 21st century Africa.

I was buying chocolate coated biscuits for less than 50p in UK whereby the same sells for 3k here. I bought bucket of cadbury chocolate at £1 while the same goes for not less than 3.5k here.

No matter your status, you could still live a decent poor man life in UK.

Whenever in Nigeria, there are some things I refuse to buy, not because one can't afford it and do big man levels but out of principle!! I mean even after calculating for profit, tax, import brouhaha and inefficiency in the system- the prices are just daylight robbery!!

We rented one apartment like that, when you're knocking a nail into the wall you literally have to remove your eyes if not sand fit blind.. Thank God it was a bungalow. Just packaging

I haven’t bought cement this year but I understand that it might be back to the old price.

AirBnB is certainly part of the plan. Of the 5 buildings (10 flats) one will be specifically reserved and outfitted for Airbnb duties.

You know a friend is renting out at N35K per week in Ibadan though in a much high brow area. His waiting list is now till March. Money dey for this country and many are silent big spenders.

Correct, airbnb will definitely do well. 35k a week or you mean a day?

I'm fine tunning my vacation with things falling in place nicely. Lagos to Ibadan train sorted, then accommodation coming up, now searching for activities/POI to fill the weekend with the help of YouTube vloggers IITA etc cool

Been looking forward to this for over a year now, but totally disappointed the contract is only for the Kaduna abuja line... what's the point when the lagos Ibadan track was already in lagos then....and looking at it its overpriced for just that line. The contract should be for the whole Kano- lagos!!!

Solid company and partners though

UPDATE.

the contract was for the NRC, not just 5 stations on the Abuja-Kaduna line.
