tushqueen: before people with experience chip in, I will say based on what has been advised here previously, you have to emphasis you are sponsoring fully, if possible make a budget breakdown of her travel plans and cost in the application summary with reference to your account ot if you have created a special account for the trip for her---you still have to demonstrate her strong ties to the country |

hustla: Some jobs or should I say some sectors are difficult to get into. So it depends. 1 year internship is valuable, Some sectors like IT, healthcare your experience is your experience. Networks, systems in Timbuktu, New Delhi is usually the same as those in Derby, Dundee etc minus +- 1 the rest depends on your soft skills and how you present your application or CV 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Prospective International Students Please try as much as possible to arrive well before the resumption date- A month or some few weeks before lectures start Give yourself time to settle in, arrange accommodation and job if possible. the Earlier the better You will be competing with a lot of other international students for houses/flats and jobs and as usual the early birds gets all the juicy spots. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Lexusgs430: So true. Driving when not properly licensed or insured is one of the fastest way to get into the bad books. It can be so tempting to think one will get away with things like getting inadequate insurance, driving without proper license An acquaintance who's not sorted out his papers got caught drink driving last week- using his brothers license! |
