mizGene: Hi guys, I will be commuting to work within London starting soon. I will be using buses only. From my research online, there is no difference between getting a travel card amd using my bank card for the week as the fares are capped on the bank card once it reaches the equivalent cost of a travel card...
Can anyone confirm this or give any advice on how to proceed? Yes that's correct, bank cards are gradually replacing travelcards/oyster except you're getting student discount Are you sure you want to use buses only, commuting by bus alone is very frustrating, I find. There are so many road works |

what is happening in Lekki/Epe/Makoko can be term ethnic cleansing sha |

TheGuyFromHR: Lol. Well, considering that so-called white Brits are less than half of London's population, the gentrification is not solely oyibo-driven. i.e. ability to pay London's crazy house prices is not race-specific. True, more social cleansing If you can afford it...white,black,brown! Look at all the Hong-Kong citizens buying up all these new builds as they relocate to the UK |

yolkman20: Good day and compliments of the season to everyone here. Wifey, myself and our 1year old daughter will be going to the UK by month end latest by his grace. She'll be schooling in central London and I'm having difficulty in making decisions on where to stay. I heard London is really expensive and it's advisable to commute from nearby towns.
After many considerations and research, Luton fit within my budget for 2bedroom flat, budget is 850£ at max. Now there's so many negative reviews about Luton and I'm not sure I want to go there. Please, I need advise on commuter's town where I can get 2bedrom flat for 850£ and below...thanks.
Meanwhile, we fit manage 1bedroom flat for now and that will also save us some costs. Central London is massive. If you narrow it down and list the nearest train or tube stations it will help. But you can look towards zone 5 and 6 in London or Dartford in Kent, there are regulat direct trains to London Bridge, Charing Cross, Canon Street and Victoria Many of these towns listed as worse in the country usually have 'safe' areas or just historically bad reputations. Many people commute to Peterborough to London, it has also undergone massive regeneration |

Preshyi: Hi guys, I have read here about the care sponsorship route but not sure how someone already in the system can get sponsorship via care. I came in last year via student Visa but currently working in a healthcare facility as a support worker. I have already seen online that my Company is on the list of organisations that can offer sponsorship but dont know if I qualify as I cant see specific eligibility requirement. Will appreciate any information on this. Try as much as possible to get all the training and certification that comes with your role whilst on the job, approach the HR about sponsorship or get in touch with other employers about sponsorship when they put out advert for senior roles That's if you really want to be in that sector. Don't forget your school work! |

I believe a direct flight don’t need to do the covid pcr test before departure Thank you If you've been vaccinated you don't need to for direct flights BA and virgin For others you'll need to check their individual requirements as you'll be 'entering' their country or be in contact with other passengers entering the country |

Iretii0511: The governor is at fault here. There are rules of engagement.
He should have just call his superior to order him to leave. Unless the governor is doing this to generate public support for state controlled policing. Exactly! all that Chief Security Officer is just on paper...what do you think Benue Gov n co are going through The Police officer is under instructions from his superior, Sanwo-Olu should have been speaking with the superior not him. I mean hes even asking the guy to call his oga that he is here. All the people saying Wike/Fashola would have asked for him to be transferred out of state, so what? His Oga will fix him in Abuja HQ no big deal |

Thanks for sharing your experience and workarounds Another thing is for you guys to try and make friends with people who have young kids so that you can baby sit for each other or at least find out how they deal with their child care needs. £250 per day on childcare for 18k/year job is just too much, doesn’t make any sense if you ask me. £250 is per week |

How do one know he/she is banned? Apologies- thought you meant your husband tooNot sure of Canada but they've explain reason for refusal, for UK refusal with a ban a certain section will be quoted. Plus if you've not used suspicious document, you have nothing to be scared of- here's assuming you saw what the agent submitted. |
