When I read some people's comments here,I just wander if some have brain. What is happening now is for the benefit of we people of this country. This is to show us who the enemies of this country are. Those who do not want Nigeria to progress. Some people are calling APC confused and clueless party but not a party that agrees to loot our resources and clean mouth.I hope APC had learnt their lesson.Accepting all kinds of people into the party. |

Delafruita: depends on your definition of "developed part of lagos". most people make the mistake of asshming lagos begins and ends on the island and mainland. In reality almost every part of lagos is developed with most areas having new sites. I live in ojo local government area of lagos and i can confidently say there are places you can get land for 500k. Might not be a full plot in some areas while in others it might shoot above 500k a little for a full plot. Some might be a little swampy but they are places some people might consider developed. Especially people who want to build on a small budget over a period of time. I have 4 buildings in this axis and i didnt buy any of those lands for above 700k
I know ayobo and i have a propertt there. I believe it is a very good area to buy land and develop it. The only problem is many of the acccess routes havent been done. There is a road that links ayobo to igando, another links ayobo to hotel busstop which is close to isheri, another links ayobo to igbesa. Most of these roads have wooden bridges linking one end to another. If the government can get those roads done, ayobo will become hot cake. Aside from that, the main road from ipaja is sufficient for anyone working on the mainland and island. You right with most things you wrote but the price? You can't get a land with 500k at ayobo.Atan, ayetoro etc you can't get with such price. At small london estate, the least there is 5M. |

Bellfun: Really?... How well do you know this area? And what's the least price i can get? Thanks I live there.1.5m is the least you can get.Don't be scam. There are some lands which are owned by the State and federal govt.Don't buy land located at Atan nla, abule etc.You can only get lands in those estates within Ayobo, baruwa, pako. You might be also be fortunate to get some undeveloped lands within a street that is developed. |

Politics › Re: Kachikwu Explains Reasons For Fuel Scarcity (video) by disloman(m): 5:13pm On Apr 07, 2016 |
PapaBrowne: Interesting video.
From all indications the cause of the Fuel scarcity is clear. If you listened carefully, you'd understand the real reason why it was so easy for Jonathan to provide us fuel and it's been so difficult for Buhari to do same.
Kachichukwu's 3 undertones.
1)We(NNPC) shouldn't have attempted to go it(importation) alone. Buhari assumed that NNPC can supply all our fuel needs so he decided to discontinue supply relationship with importers by frustrating their forex demands. He wanted NNPC to do all the importation but forgot to determine first whether they had the capability to execute such a monumental charge. It's like deciding the government would now be responsible for bread supply in the country without first determining if they know the flour suppliers, whether they have enough bakers and things like that.
2)Pipeline vandalism. Kachichukwu said there has been more pipeline vandalism this year alone than there was in the last 3 years combined. And this has affected terribly fuel supply logistics. Well I wouldn't say anything here besides the fact that the tompolo pipeline contract suddenly looks like it was the wiser step afterall since whoever is now guarding those pipelines are failing terribly where Tompolo succeeded.
3)Returning to the Jonathan strategy- Kachichukwu has admitted that the NNPC cannot do this importation thing alone. So same as Jonathan did, they are now deciding to let the private sector get in on importation again.
Truth be told, Buhari's assumption that what worked in the 70s would work today is what is largely responsible for the troubles we are finding ourselves. The earlier Buhari allows his minister their freedom to operate, the faster we would get out of the mess we are facing. To yourself and goons, you have made a point. This is one of the most senseless comments I've ever come across with.Things are needed to be done in normal ways.We giving militants jobs of our arm forces is a very stupid idea.NNCP can't import 100% of the fuels needed due to the present status but if things are done and properly maintained, they can.Sane people know what to expect when Buhari was declared winner last year.Enermies of this great country will fight back and we know that we will feel the pain but in the long run,we are better for it.With this video, gives mi hope that the govt knew. What they are doing and needed to be tackle once and for all.God bless Nigeria God bless PMB God bless Disloman. |

Quakertellicus1: Eventually we would have to become strong in manufacturing.....which would mean more forex, and crucially, producing goods whose prices we can control.
We can no longer rely on oil, or even agric. I understand that but we can't take 100steps at a time.We have to move step by step.Agriculture is still the best option we have now to have an extra source of forex revenue. In technology,we are still lacking in that aspect and will take us 8-10years to have a say. |
Investment › Re: Nigeria's Promise Turns To Peril As Investors Flee-Bloomberg by disloman(m): 6:55am On Mar 31, 2016 |
Quakertellicus1: In other words....the companies want us to loosen forex restrictions.
The problem is...we cannot do that...unless we have enough forex coming in. And with our economy pegged to oil ,we cannot do that. Oilprcies are low.
If we did as the companies are suggesting...it would make things worse faster. Do you mind them. What I believe is book economics won't solve Nigeria economy woes.We need practical approaches. We gat to go back to the basics before trying all these world bank ideas. Our economy is different from those of developed country. |

BishopMagic: With each passing day the fuel situation persists Buhari , his family and cronies become richer.
It is no secret that oil importers have been asked to source for forex outside the CBN and it is also no news that Buhari has awarded import contracts on behalf of the NNPC to his affiliates which will easily secure forex from the same CBN.
What we are experiencing today happened during Abacha era where Abacha and his family members and cronies where given juicy contracts to import PMS into Nigeria.
This fuel scarcity won't go until 3mths to the 2019 election and after which it will persist for the next 4 yrs or even 8yrs or more since Buhari will seek for tenure elongation after subverting the electoral process in 2019 to remain in power. Please don't. Be hard on yourself and save some stress.Get. a rope and do the needful. All these things are bound to happen. |
