My sister please is about the reference letter. Who should my referees address the recommendation letter to.
Or should they just put "To whom it may concern".
Education / Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by ditha(f): 1:45am On Nov 06, 2020
Ms word or any text editor you are using automatically counts the words.
adefabiyusuf:

My sister please i have come again.

How did they calculate the Essay number of words.
Is it one by one or they just get number of words in the first line then multiply with the number of lines in the Essay

You can sign digitally on Adobe pdf reader. That's wat I did
adefabiyusuf:

But what of the Signature aspect, how did you do it.
Education / Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by ditha(f): 9:26am On Nov 03, 2020
This SOP is for department nomination so please stay within the 350 words limit, if u pass this stage, you will be directedto write the Mastercard essays
jayjaycool:

Thanks for your swift response.

What is your take in the Statement Of Purpose max word count of 350words on the site. Getting the key things into 350words looks like a hard nut.

Is there anyone that can confirm the thing for me from any McGill mcf scholar or alumni.

Should I just write not minding that 350Words max or find a way to keep it that short.
Education / Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by ditha(f): 7:09am On Nov 02, 2020
Umm...I didn't have any issues when I did it though
Thatjoyce:

Have you been able to edit on MS-Word properly? The document is somehow.
Education / Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by ditha(f): 12:29pm On Oct 30, 2020
You can do either but MS word is preferable. Edit on MS-word,then convert to pdf when you are done
adefabiyusuf:

Please are we to print out the form and fill it with PEN or we should just fill the form as it is on MS word. I am really confuse

Just acquire some leadership experience, like leading a
social group in school, organize outreaches, organize seminars, do personal projects, NYSC CDS etc.
lajid:

Can you give an example please?

I'm a 1st class graduate from the University of Lagos ( 2019 graduate).

I write vis-à-vis MasterCard foundation scholarship. I currently submitted my application for University of Edinburgh MasterCard foundation scholarship, pls can I also apply for UBC MasterCard scholarship? Will it have an effect on University of Edinburgh?

Hence, to widen my options and make me competitive.

Thanks in anticipation!

Cheers!

Hi, I applied for MSc in Forestry. I can't say first class graduates have better chance becauseI know a few people that won the scholarship with 2'1 grade
DAramis:

Hello,

Just came across this thread and saw your advice about scholarship. I noticed that you graduated with first class?

Which feild? And do you think someone graduating with first puts the person at the top tier of those to receive the scholarship under Mastercard?

The scholarship is open for sub-saharan Africa,(Nigeria inclusive) , encouraging other african countries to apply doesnt affect your chances as a Nigerian

Those countries dont usually apply, that's why they are encouraging them to

I'm talking about for this year.
Education / Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by ditha(f): 9:52pm On Oct 05, 2020
That's a wrong interpretation.

Majority of the scholars @ Edinburgh are Nigerians.
JohnFrankling:
So we Nigeria's don't have chance in Edinburgh

Mantoso:
Hello everyone.

Please can I still apply for this scholarship? And are there exams to write before application?

Thanks.

Oww, u can try. I thinku will need GRE for engineering.
I know a lady that won Mastercard scholarship this year with a 4.3cgpa
Teophilus96:

Lols. It's been a year and some months I created this thread. Thanks for for your advice.

I really have MasterCard foundation Scholarship in mind for McGill (Bioresources Engineering). I just hope it's not too competitive so I can easily get it lols.

Unfortunately I won't make a first class. But I still have a Cgpa above 4.2+ and likely the Best graduating of my class. Does this give me an edge even tho I didn't make the first class?

Yes I have some materials on GRE, I will take it during my NYSC.
