CelebritiesPeople Are In A Panic After Seeing Mark Zuckerberg’s Recent Photo Upload! by divinehand2003(op): 4:38pm On Jun 26, 2016
Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed what all of us have had in the back of our minds this whole entire time. Mark Zuckerberg has just recently posted a photo to his Facebook that celebrates Instagram reaching 500 million monthly users. However, the photo has recently been picked apart by the internet for some very revealing details.

His post reads:

More than 500 million people now use Instagram every month — and 300 million every day. The Instagram community has more than doubled over the past two years. This is a tribute to Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger’s vision, and to people everywhere who have opened a window into their world — from big events to everyday moments. Thanks for making Instagram such a beautiful place.

In what looks like an attempt to stop hackers from spying on him, the Facebook founder and CEO placed tape to cover his microphone and webcam. Not only that but he uses an email platform with government-grade security features.

Zuckerberg is obviously one of the highest-profile security targets out there. But still, might he know something that we don’t?

CelebritiesTaylor Swift Horrified By Kanye West's Famous Video Which Sees Her Sleeping Nake by divinehand2003(op): 7:18am On Jun 26, 2016
Taylor Swift is reportedly horrified by Kanye West's 'Famous' music video.

The rapper's video for his new song portrays a number of naked celebrities - including Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby, George W. Bush, Donald
Trump, Anna Wintour, Rihanna and Chris Brown - in bed with Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian West and Taylor is livid that she has been included.

Some of the celebrities reportedly took part, while others, including Taylor, are lookalikes.

A source told HollywoodLife:

"Taylor is livid and horrified. She didn't know what to do when she heard about what Kanye did.

She is bewildered, feels betrayed and is beyond frustrated with Kanye. It is like a complete nightmare."

The song also features the line: "I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex, I made that bitch famous," which Taylor, 26, has previously blasted.

CrimeMother Faces 20 Years In Prison For Beating Her Sons Who Burglarized Their Neigh by divinehand2003(op): 7:05am On Jun 25, 2016
A mother from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 30 year old Schaquana Spears, who beat her young sons for stealing their neighbour's properties, has found herself in trouble with the law, and is now at the center of a US national debate over how she chose to discipline her children.

"I was being a mother who loves her kids, who wants to protect her kids, and steer them in the right direction."

Spears ran to her house after her neighbor told her that she had seen her kids burglarizing their other neighbour's home. Spears left work and ran home where she saw her children and some of their friends all carrying properties they had stolen. The friends ran out of the house but Spears was able to catch her 3 sons, aged 13, 12 and 10 and according to her, she whipped them with a belt. She also made them return the properties.
According to police documents, Spears beat her 13-year-old son with an electrical chord, but she denied using an electric chord, instead saying she used a belt, that caused visible marks on his body. Her two other sons also had visible injuries.

The son reported his mom to the authorities who came to the house, arrested Spears for child abuse and took all her 6 children from her. Her kids are 13, 12, 10, 8, 6 and 2 years old.
She was bailed from jail by a good Samaritan who heard about the incident and the subsequent arrest of Spears. She is also been currently represented pro-bono by a lawyer who saw the viral video of her interview.

"I reacted and I'm the bad guy, it's not right." "I'd rather discipline my kids than for them to be beaten in the street, caught in someone's home murdered, or in someone's prison and me having to visit," Spears said.

Spears added that she is a good mum who sent all her children to great schools and they are all in honour rolls.

She said their father is in prison and she didn't want her children to end up there as well.

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services said "reasonable, constructive discipline is a healthy part of parenting ...but it crosses into abuse when it leaves a child cut, burned, bloody or bruised."

The state attorney general is looking into the case, and the local district attorney still hasn't filed charges. If charges are filed, Spears could face 20 years in prison. Louisiana mom could face felony charges after punishing sons for robbery.

Dear Nairalanders,

I have been through a lot this year. My landlord threatened to send us packing because i refused to sleep with him, and we owe him rent for 18 months. I am a youth corp member and my husby is a civil servant, but he always complain of the salary not been enough for our upkeep. I decided to tell my husby of the landlord’s threat and he was so angry. He wanted to go and fight with the landlord, but i didn’t allow him since we owe him a lot of money, i didn’t want him to throw us out.

Last month, i started noticing that my husband doesn’t come home on time anymore, i asked him what the problem was, but he said nothing. Last week, the landlord came knocking on our door, and demanded to see my husby. I told him he wasn’t around and he started venting that my husby impregnated his 16 year old daughter.

I was shocked. Husby came home and i asked him, he didnt deny it. I asked him the reason for that terrible action and he said it was because the landlord was sleeping with me and he wanted to revenge. Why would he think that way? Im still in shock. Please help me out. I feel like moving out of the house, since i don’t have a kid for him yet. What should i do?

PoliticsIPOB Declares Solomon Arase Wanted Just 24 Hours After Retirement by divinehand2003(op): 6:18am On Jun 24, 2016
* says he must face ICC for ‘extra-judicial killings’

By Nwabueze Okonkwo

ONITSHA – The leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Thursday, disclosed that it has directed all its members worldwide to closely monitor the movements and whereabouts of the retired Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Solomon Arase, to facilitate his arrest and arraignment in the International Criminal Court, ICC, as soon as an international bench warrant is issued for his arrest.

Ex-IGP Solomon Arase
IPOB said that the essence of keeping such a 24-hour surveillance on Arase’s movements was because he (Arase) allegedly presided over the extra-judicial killings of over 1,000 Biafrans between July, 2015 and May 30, 2016.

In a press statement signed by its spokesman, Dr. Clifford Iroegbu, IPOB directed that Arase’s whereabouts must also be monitored and logged-in with the office of IPOB headquarters, Victoria, Spain.

The statement added: “it is very important to keep a record of his movements so that when the ICC finally issues the long-awaited international warrant order for his arrest, it will be easy to locate, apprehend, handcuff and fly him to the Hague for prosecution at the ICC”.

The statement further added: “if anyone happens to see him fleeing the country, please make calls to alert IPOB officials. For those who do not know the atrocious crimes committed by him (Arase), we have posted two of his pictures and the pictures of some of the victims he shot dead because we believe that pictures speak more than a thousand words”.

Nairaland GeneralPolice Officers And Soldiers Exchange Fire At Maiduguri Government House Over Ri by divinehand2003(op): 2:06pm On Jun 23, 2016
There was shoot out between some police officers and soldiers at the Maiduguri Government House, Borno state this afternoon when soldiers in a truck attempted to forcefully get a share of the rice being distributed to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) not living in camps in the state.

DailyTrust reports that the distribution of rice for the IDPs had started from about a week ago under the watch of policemen in the Government House who are to ensure that the rice is given only to the people who really need it.

It is being alleged that the soldiers had been coming to get from the rice since the distribution started without appropriate documentation.

However when they came for some rice today, the policemen refused to allow them to get from the rice distribution and a shootout ensued leading to at least one policeman being injured.

Currently, the policemen are holding two soldiers at the second gate of the government house, while their soldier colleagues are at the first trying to get them back.

PoliticsRe: Saraki Raises Alarm Over Spate Of Sexual Harassment In Tertiary Institutions by divinehand2003(op): 6:31am On Jun 22, 2016
Sexual harassment in tertiary institutions is better termed ASSAULT AGAINST OUR FUTURE WIVES AND MOTHERS. It's a huge burden today and the ladies are at the receiving end of the problem.
It's a social embarrassment in Nigerian higher institutions to say the least.
All those frog eyed greedy male lecturers who are caught in the act and reported must be punished severely by stringent laws put in place by the NASS to curb this social menace.
PoliticsSaraki Raises Alarm Over Spate Of Sexual Harassment In Tertiary Institutions by divinehand2003(op): 3:20am On Jun 22, 2016
By Immanuel Jannah

ABUJA—Senate President, Bukola Saraki has raised alarm over the rise in sexual harassment complaints in tertiary institutions across the country.
He made the disclosure while declaring open the public hearing on the bill to provide for the prohibition of incidences of sexual harassment in tertiary institutions.

Saraki said sexual harassment incidences were becoming too frequent that it could no longer be ignored.

He described the menace as a special challenge that required specific and more direct attention, calling on the executive arm of government to pay attention to the right issues affecting the lives of the people, including those with direct impact on their enjoyment of liberty, freedom and aspirations.

Saraki said: “Complaints of sexual harassment in our places of learning are on the rise and this dangerous trend has quite a significant impact on the quality of learning, life and dignity of our children as a whole.”

‘’Sexual harassment incidences are beginning to factor dangerously in our higher institutions in such a manner that we can no longer ignore, otherwise we will be abdicating our responsibility to make laws for the peace, order and good government of the federation.

“This menace has the potential of hindering academic excellence among our students, especially the female students.

‘’One of the greatest achievements African women have made in their quest for empowerment has been in the area of education. And this bill when passed into law, will further make the academic environment more accommodating for all who seek excellence.

“Yes, we have laws dealing with sexual offences in general, just like we have for many other offences. But in this regards, we are paying significant attention and treating this matter as a special challenge that requires specific and more deterring direct attention. ‘’This is in recognition of the many dimensions of its impact. We are also doing this to further send a message to all those who have utilized the seeming gaps in our body of laws to perpetrate this evil and destroy the hope of our children.

“This bill must also be seen as a message to our children that we hear their cries and we cannot seat idly by and watch. Let this also sound as a matching order to our law enforcement agencies to develop and adopt greater attention to deal with the growing menace and nip it in the bud. Making law is not enough.

“The executive must begin to pay attention to the right issues affecting our lives as a people, including those with direct impact on our peoples’ enjoyment of liberty, freedom and aspirations.

‘’We cannot continue to focus on less impact areas of our lives while people suffer on the streets and the quality of individual lives continue to dwindle due to lack of government attention.

‘’It is time for our children to feel safe again in schools and worry more about their learning than of their safety and protection. This is what government is about.”
