Business / IKEDC Ill Treatment And Chaos In Aiyetoro - Itele Community. by dkings101(m): 1:36pm On Oct 10, 2014
It's so disheartening how Ogun State Government, L.G. Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota Local Govt has abandoned the masses to decade long suffering. We at Ayetoro-Itele Community (approx as large as Alimosho L.G.A) have been without Electricity for more than 15 years. We have been powering our houses with generator for more than 15 years. Through the help of our Landlord Chairmen, CDA and CDC, we were able in bringing the electricity down to the community without the help of the State Govt and the L.G.A. We toke the pain and burden in buying Electric Poles and 100mm Aluminium wires for IKEDC which would later becomes their property. Now the electricity is here it is being politicize.

Some areas have been connected and some are not. Before the arrival of IKEDC, Ayetoro-Itele have 3 transformers and the main road wired down to a certain place 15 years ago and was abandoned by the contractor. When IKEDC came to the community, they didn't install nor wire any location. Each Landlord Association toke the pain to erect poles and wired it. They have stopped connection of houses saying the transformers have been overloaded/congested and they won't connect any one anymore. Indirectly, they are asking us to take up the pain to buy transformers in our various area which literally means buying the transformers for IKEDC. This act is like creating chaos / war among the people who are already connected and those who aren't cos we all suffered this together. IKEDC is not providing a solution neither are they communicating with the community on how this issue would be resolved. We bought them poles and wires and now they want us to buy for them transformers which they would still use to make money out of us.

The question here is, if they know they want to bring their business down to the community which have been without electricity for more than 15 years with immense population, don't they know that they would have to bring transformers to cover where they want their service to be reached?

I want IKEDC to do something about this before people begin to vandalise and destroyed their equipments due to anger they are creating themselves and this might lead to another chaos in Ayetoro-Itele community.

Thanks.

Culture / I Recall My MUM Telling Me About A Man by dkings101(m): 1:23pm On Nov 30, 2013
I Recall My MUM telling me about a man in my hood who bcame popular 4 engaging in money rituals just to buy the 80's edition of the Honda Prelude. U wouldn't buy that car for 50k 2day. Some other guy brutally murdered his brother (whom their father gave cash 2 travel 4 the purpose of re- stocking their warehouse), just 'cos he wanted 2 acquire the rave of the moment - Pathfinder Jeep. That same vehicle is now better described as a coffin. I Remember my whole street gathered to watch a truck deliver a very large satellite dish to my neighbour's house. 2day a dish one tenth that size delivers 50 times the value and is in almost every student's room. What about the Volkswagen Santana, Mercedes Benz V boot, 505 Evolution, Toyota Crown, all overtaken by latest models of Camry, Honda, Bugatti, Bentley, X6, Acura and Infinity.... Vanity! A lady left her true luv cos some rich guy then persuaded her with a golf 1, which turned out 2 be the only car they ever owned till date. She found out too late that true love is invaluable. A friend declared drinks because he launched the Nokia Communicator for over 100K in 2002. 2day dat fone would embarrass the owner and is a joke compared to the low cost and everyday phone. What about d MTN sim card dat many people went extra miles b4 dey bought for over 30k, 2day u will not buy it at N100 because all networks are begging people to even take it for free. Just Recently BBM, dat Lots of Gals had 2 do some unspeakable fins for, just because they want to PING, is now even in common Techno fones. People r still making the most horrific sacrifices over 'vanity' and make enemies over worthless material things. What can I Say? Look back @ that one fin U wanted to kill or die 4 years back and see what has become of it 2day. There is absolutely nofin u can't achieve, all u need is, 2 b on ur grind, a little time and PATIENCE and u would thank God without regrets..Be Wise! Life itself is Vanity and nothing stays on top of the game forever. Be thankful

From the Skies of Kuala Lumpur Int'l Airport, U see the design of the road like it's drawn on Paper. U can't help but open ur mouth to "WOW". The Airport is One of the Best. U have to take computer-driven train to the other axis of the Airport to cross immigration. Underneath the airport is another computerised train tat wd take u directly to the capital city (KL Sentral) where u final find ur way from there.

Na the road network u wan talk? U don't need to knw road, just buy/rent motor, dey drive, if u miss road, no worry, u wd surely reconnect back (but u might find ursef in Private Tolled road where u wd dull out some ringgit once u miss road, i call that business)

Fast internet, free wifi even in their local Mama Put restoran. There food is superb. They have more than 500 foods, and i no sure if i chop reach 50 sef. Nice Shopping malls wt good architectural designs and Chinese market where u can get ursef fake LV products and the likes tat looks Original where u fit take dey poo for Facebook hahahahaha.

Their politics there dey sweet me, them govt dey chop money oo but u can't know cos the citizen are all reaping the dividend of their manifesto. Na there road wen get expiring date u wan talk? Before u sleep wake up the next morning, u don see new road. Is it their LRT and Monorail?

For 5 yrs, dem no take light for one day. Na free newspaper u can get anywhere?? Is it the free air travel? Just pay for fuel charge and travel on a later date.

Visited Philippines, wow...nice reception. They like foreigners ehn, they don't care if u r black like back of pot. If u r a guy, u r advice to hide ur Int'l passport cos if dem girls go love u, na ur passport dem go dey find make dem flush am for toilet so u no go go again.. Na from tour guild lady wen dey work for Airport i from start from sef hahaha.

Cambodia....while abt to land, the country be like Ajegunle...woman can ask u to come disvirgin her daughter for a little token...

Singapore...that one be say the country clean die...if u throw rubbish for ground, b4 u knw, police don come issue u summon ticket and if u no pay the fine, u can leave the country.

Transit via Dubai, Doha...their buildings there ehn, u go dey ask God who design these buildings. It's just 2 out of this world.

Fashion / 36yr Old Man Undergoes 19 Surgeries To Look Exactly Like Superman by dkings101(m): 5:23pm On Sep 09, 2013
A 36-year old Filipino, Herbert Chavez has undergone 19 surgeries in the past 16 years just so he can look like Superman.

Chavez has had nose jobs, skin whitening, lip liposuction, jaw realignment, pec implants and even abdominal implants to become a real-life Clarke Kent after falling in love with the TV program aged five.

He has splashed around 300,000 Pesos (N1.1million) on his obsession – a fortune compared to the average N230 hourly wage in the Philippines.

He said: ‘I feel like a Superhero whenever I pull on the costume, but my mission is not to save the world but to help in my own small way and bring a smile to the faces of local children.
‘I don’t have any regrets at all. People come up to me in the street all the time and want their picture taken with me.

‘They are all really excited to see a real-life Superman in the Philippines.’

Education / How Profitable Going Into School Business?? by dkings101(m): 4:14pm On Sep 06, 2013
Good day Nairalanders...Kindly share wt me ur advice pls.
A friend of mine who just came back abroad is thinking of converting his twin building into a Nursery/Primary school. The buildings r a storey building with 4 x 2 bedroom flat x 2. So he is thinking of dividing the parlours to get two class room...so to say, in one flat, he would get 4 class rooms so in one building, he would be getting 16 class room...so in sum up, both building would be 32 class room...so my ques are?

1. Is it enough to start up a Nur/Primary school?
2. What are the pro and cons starting up a school?
3. How profitable is the venture?

He wants to be the Proprietor and would be employing able and talented individual to run the school.

Pls Nairalander...kindly share ur advice on this topic. Thanks.

This road contract has been awarded since 2011 to be completed in 2012 and the contractor hasn't even finish even drainage construction till date. Lagoa State minister of work promised the road would be completed by June this year...now the rain is here and we are suffering. Even the drainage constructed has no use as water pile up on the road. I wish the contract was awarded to CCECC, we would have forgotten a road contract was awarded. Shame to Plycon, Shame to ACN and shame to BRF.

The thing is that, I never assigned a stock broker (was a novice then) to help me manage my investment and till date, I don't have any stockbroker to manage this shares. I don't wish selling the stocks now. What do I do? How do I get a trusted stockbroking firm? If any please advice. Also wat r the pro and cons of stockbrokers.

Aiyetoro - Itele community can't even boast of the social basic amenities such as Electricity, Road, Community clinic, school, security and other common need the masses needs. Gbenga Daniel stayed for 8yrs and did nothing and now Amosun is not doing anything either. We are like forgotten citizens or should I say refugees. This community is highly populated yet no power, road or hospital. Wen next Amosun comes here for election campaign, I would throw raw egg at me. #OkBye.
Politics / Aiyetoro - Itele, Ogun State Under Government Neglect For More Than 2 Decades. by dkings101(m): 1:38pm On Jan 13, 2013
I wish to draw to your attention the suffering of Nigerians living in Aiyetoro - Itele community in Ogun State (which is very close to Ayobo, Lagos). We have been living in complete total darkness for more than 20 years. The community is densely populated with Nigerians of all tribe. In Aiyetoro Axis of the community, electrification work and pole was done more than 10 yrs ago but nothing to show for it, No light. Every residence lives on Generator 24/7. I calculated how much we spend on buying fuel per annum...lo and behold, it amounted to N120,000 per annum. The Ogun State govt is not doing anything for the populance living in this community. if not for the fact that we reside in our own property, we would have vacate the property before now. Why we still remain and reside here because we get promises every year that the light would be turn on but yet to no avail. No community clinic, no hospital, no police station or stand, no security. We are just living with the grace and help of God. I am using this medium to communicate with the Ogun state govt cos I know one or two person(s) under his administration would be reading this article and bring this to his attention. Ado-Odo Local govt is incharge of Aiyetoro-Itele supervision but it's too large to be govern. We need our own local govt and representation in this part of the world. OGUN STATE GOVT..WE NEED YOUR HELP. COME TO OUR AID.
