Maybe price has formed a very strong resistant few pips to TP and efforts to break it has result into multiple rejections. Isn't it Greed if TP is @ $67 and the strong rejection happens at $60 and one is still holding on to the trade sire?

I used to think that after Entry, it's either Stop loss or Take profit

I learnt something new today on IG. 3 things are involved after entry and not just 2. The third one is Manual exit

Manual exit basically is an exception to the rules of TP or SL... You don't want to get trapped in a long range when price is just few pips away from your TP.... Or I need to unlearn what I just learnt?

it took some more beating from the market for me to finally accept that dxy is going up and xxxusd are going down. I have re-analyse and I am looking to short GU at new york killzone.

my trades on GU and UJ hit stoploss, as price took out the previous day low and high respectively which gave me a shift in market structure, looking at the 4h and the daily chart, I see that external range liquidity has been taken and price seems to be repricing into internal range liquidity. so come new york session I would be looking for shorting opportunities on GU, gold and US30 also. I closed my long trade on US30 which I have been swinging since on Tuesday for 286 points profit.

I must confess, that I feel discourage posting my trade calls because of my failure rate, I am tempted to stop posting my trades but some part of me doesn't want me to stop because by doing so I may not see the improvement I need, I so I'm going to continue to hold myself accountable.

You don't need to be discouraged cheif. It's very OK to be taken out severally.. Even the pro experience loosing streaks. I'm sure you learnt something from your losses and that's what matters...I was buying NU and AU as well. If not for BE, stoploss for Don hit. Close your chart for the year.. 2024 will be great 👌... I'm confident in your skill set

Your strategy or edge with that many confluence, doesn't tell u what's going to happen next, it's just gives u a slightly higher probability of winning that particular trade.
The big hedge funds and the banks may just decide to go in big at that moment and that set up is no longer valid..
A++ set up, isn't really that great for psychology. It would make u risk more believing it would always deliver and then, u have no more cards to stake with.
Just trade what your strategy tells u to,anytime any place ,with good risk money management.

The bolded is the A++ setup we are talking about. So it means you have agreed that some trades have higher probability than the other ... But just as uve rightly said even with all the confluences, it doesn't mean it can't fail and that doesn't make it a bad setup

I get your point clearly cheif.. But the fact that you mentioned the bolded part shows you have agreed with me that there are good looking setup (A++) and bad looking setups...Not all setups must be traded. Infact the fewer the better

Look at your trade journal, there is a pattern or setup that gives you almost 90% win rate and there is one that has just 55% win rate. What the OP is saying is that we should go only for the good looking setups. We need confidence to let profit run

There are good quality setups and A++ setups

I have 2 trades for example...

The first one comes with a 1:1 RR, just one confluence maybe a bullish engulfing, and it's a counter trend trade

The second one comes with 1:5 RR, multiple confluences maybe a strong support combined with TL, and it's a trend following trade

I didn't say the second one is more certain of hitting TP cause it might actually be the losing trade. But that is the trade I will be confident in going for.

You ll agree with me that some setup comes so nicely that you will feel like using 100 lots size cause how clean the setup appears, while some setups will show and you won't even be confident in using 0.10 lots size

That's my own counter argument boss... Bring the reasons why u feel there is no A++ setups with your own argument maybe I will be convinced... I might be wrong

I feel like to share my little progress today, to whom much is given much is expected. I appreciate each and every one us who one way or the other has contributed massively to the progression of the thread. My current job pays me 30k as monthly salary, but I got a payout of $601k . It leaves me sober and emotional ,after 2yrs of working as a waiter I can't boast of 100k in my account but 10days of trading got me 700k. Lest I forget I got a mail this morning from alphacapital that my live funded account will be ready this week after passing the giveaway account. Glory be to God. Thanks all the bosses in the house, still remain BeginnerTrade.✌️

How bad are the spreads?

Well I won't say very bad, But compared to other brokers I've worked with, it's not good.. I think Eurusd and other few major pairs have moderate spreads, but you see all these minors, na no go area.. The spread widening is another thing... Spread wise my brother, I can't recommend them... But you see instant deposit and very fast withdrawal, I give it to them 100%

And I'm keeping this here again. The attention has shifted from finding an edge with Technical analysis to psychological analysis. Now I understand why it's hard despite how many times I've tried.

The subconscious mind are many, many times more powerful than willpower or discipline

The question now is how to delete this thing like we delete virus from the system

This is still hard for me guys ... The pain I feel when in profit is much more than when in loss. I stayed away from chart long enuf to let my TP hit, I checked back after long hours and still found out it has not hit TP, I wish I never checked, I became very uncomfortable the moment I saw how much price has moved, a voice starts to ring in my head again, you better close this thing, you know today is Friday. I ignored the voice the first, second and third, but I was still very uncomfortable until I closed the trade. I felt very relieved.. The trade Hit $100 TP but I only took 60... They say you cant go broke by taking profit, it's a big No for me, You can go broke by taking profit....
