Onyejemechimere: How did you get into the movie industry?
It was just by luck. I didn’t go for any audition. I actually told this story to the housemates when I was in the house. I drove out with a car that belonged to a friend of mine. So there was this guy, I didn’t know he was a producer. I was actually on my lane and then, his car dented the vehicle I was driving.
I got down and was trying to tell him that he was wrong. I was trying to stand on my right and he said, ‘I like the way you talk. Are you an actress?’ Then, I retorted, Oga, I’m not an actress. This car is not mine. It’s my friend’s car.
You need to re-paint and all that. He said we’ll see what to do about that and gave me his card and said he is a producer. He said he had produced a lot of movies and “I want you to play the lead role of my movie that I’ll be shooting in a few days.” So, I got interested. I called him and he directed me and I got involved in the movie. I’ve forgotten the name of the movie. That was in 2011 or 2012.
What’s the name of the producer?
I can’t remember. That was the first movie I shot. After that first movie, it took a while to get used to the industry. Lai Mohamed is the real father of Gifty. |

sweetangel04: Fellow nairalanders. am new on this platform. I am dating a guy whose love for me has successfully built up my confidence in him.ò we have been dating for over a year and just recently he proposed to me which I accepted because I never expected his marriage proposal to come so soon.
Fast forward, last weekend I came to visit him. on entering his sitting room I met a young lady in her late 30s. my guy introduced her to me as his niece which she as well confirmed. just early this morning at about 1am I woke up to ease myself only to discover that that my guy was not in bed with me. I tiptoed to the guest room door and I head voices. my guy's so called niece was moaning heavily. i tried opening the door, it opened, low and behold my man was aggressively banging this girl with reckless abandon. he did not stop until he ejaculated that was when they both realised there was a third party watching them. my man has been pleading telling me it's was the devil who pushed him.
I discovered that the lady is actually his niece. right now I don't want to continue with him anymore. few hours ago his parent called and begged me not to leave their son. I asked if their son told them what he did? they said he did not. but as things stands now am pulling out of the relationship until he confesses to the world what he did and why he did it. You have already decided on what to do, why are you seeking for our advice? |

Family › Re: My Friend Wants To Chase Me Out Because Of Ordinary Milk by Dmec(m): 2:10pm On Jun 26, 2017 |
stressedout: Pls nairalanders, I am in deep mess right now. I have been living in my compound for 6 yrs now but due to some money issues I was evicted and my friend/fellow tenant was kind enough to take me in for the time being. It is him the wife and their small baby son that stays.
The problem started when the wife start complaining that am wasteful. i have never remained food they give me. from then they reduced quantity of food they give me and i dont complain.
Now just this morning am making tea and take 3 spoons of milk in her presence and all hell break loose. she starts shouting and call her husband that even them dont take more than 2 spoons. the man called me later and said it is time for us to part ways.
Am devastated now. i even used my last cash to buy a tin of milk for them. what do i do now? i have no where to go. You are the cause of your problem. Three spoons of milk is too much to be taken at once. My advise to you is this: call the owner of the house ask him to give you more time for you to park out or even ask him to assist you with transport fee so that you will use it to travel to any you which to travel to. |

RALPHOW: YOU ARE RIGHT MY BROTHER IN THE UK EVERYBODY HAS A NUMBER CALLED NATIONAL INSURANCE (NI) IN THE UNITED STATE EACH PERSON HAS A NUMBER CALLED SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER WITHOUT THESE NUMBERS YOU CAN NEVER GET A JOB, YOU MUST NOT RUN A BUSINESS WITHOUT THE NUMBER AND IMMEDIATELY YOU GET A JOB IT IS REGISTERED IN THE DATABASE OF YOUR NI/ SOCIAL SECURITY NO SO THAT GOVERNMENT KNOWS YOU ARE WORKING AND THEY CAN PLAN FOR YOU INCLUDING YOUR RETIREMENT PENSION. IT IS TIME NIGERIA PUT SYSTEM LIKE THIS IN PLACE, FORCE EVERYBODY TO REGISTER WITH MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND PRODUCTIVITY AND RECEIVE A UNIQUE NUMBER LIKE BVN, WITHOUT THE NUMBER YOU MUST NOT BE GIVEN A JOB NOR RUN A BUSINESS. (TRUST MY CHRISTIAN BROTHERS WILL CALL IT 666 BUT GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT MIND) IF WE CAN IMPLEMENT BVN SUCCESSFULLY, PEOPLE WILL COMPLY WHEN YOU ATTACH THE NUMBER TO BVN GOD BLESS NIGERIA NIGERIA SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN. dingbang: thats just the problem. The applicants for this year was 3 times more than those who applied last year making it so difficult for those who really need the money to scale through.
I really don't think Nigeria will ever be better with this kind of attitude displayed by some greedy persons. When ever you want to discus anything about Nigeria, remember not to use the word " GREED", because everybody in this country is greedy including you. |

Aniekpeno11: Fellow Nairalanders I greet you all. First and foremost, let me state that I am a job seeking graduate who graduated in 2012 and like others applied for the N-Power Programme. I want to also state that I understand fully well the challenges faced by unemployed graduates as I am one myself. That being said, I want to draw our attention to the mindset of most people applying for the N-Power Programme. A lot of people are joining the Programme not to work but to make "free money".Some people hope that after being successful they can maneuver their way around the Programme and be collecting the stipends to be paid without doing any work. Please fellow Nigerians, this is very corrupt and quite frankly, a proof of the trouble awaiting us in future, I mean if the future leaders are already looking for ways to take advantage of the system what bright future is there to hope for? Please, I appeal to those of us planning to do such to put the future of the Country at heart and reconsider, if you don't care about Nigeria at least fear God. Thank you Nigeria is all about corruption. The organizers of N-Power program are corrupt, almost all the unemployed graduates that applied are corrupt, you are also corrupt. Advise yourself before advising others. Stop pretending that you are not corrupt. |
