You already fought us to come back, you have to deal with us. You had it coming alright! aswani: Per the bolded, this stick you thing you are using to flog anyone is worn out, there is now a clear path to secession, why not speak to your Abuja representatives and get them to start the process?
You might be surprised at how little opposition there is to the bill, you will even be more surprised as to how little interest your representative Ms in Abuja have for such a proposal.
Once you hear Lagos and Yoruba as words being used in tandem, you must start being angry, dem take Yoruba and Lagos do you ni, ah ah. |

You cannot welcome someone to where he has a right to be. Dont you get it? aswani: No one is interested in such, Ndigbo will always be "welcome" in Yorubaland with open arms as will Ndi other non-Yoruba tribes.
Stop twisting the discussion to be a victim as usual. |

I'm from Anioma and I'm Igbo. Democracy is numbers. Lets just leave it here aswani: I am not convinced about this statistic, not that it matters.
Even if Ndigbo eventually surpasses Ndi Yoruba in Lagos, it wouldn't stop being a Yoruba enclave.
I still don't get why Ndi Anioma, Ndi Esan, Ndi Bayelsa or Ndi Calabar of which there are many living in Lagos don't have this "must rub shoulders with Ndi Yoruba while showing our hated for them" mentality that some others have in Lagos.
It's their land, enjoy their welcoming arms. Is that so difficult? |

I agree with you. But you see Nigerian style of democracy, eh go hard O. But anything is possible. Ours is to sit and observe since we are not part of the inner circle. |

The war wasnt just declared by Ojukwu. The constituents assembly authorized it aswani: That does not give anyone the right to drag them into another country (or worse still, a war).
Their allegiance was to the Eastern Regional government in The Federal Republic of Nigeria, not to The Republic of Biafra.
Oil was discovered in 1956, a full 11 years before the attempted forceful secession. Biafra had eyes on that oil as did Nigeria too.
At the very least Non Ndigbo people's in the Easstern Region should have been promised and/or given a referendum. I suspect we alI know what the result would have been. |

When Babangida became so powerful, he was forced to step aside. When Abacha became so powerful, he was sent to the great beyond. Nobody is too powerful to be removed. 9japride:
It's very difficult especially the kind of system of politics being practiced in Nigeria. I am not a fan of Tinubu style of government. But you see Tinubu, he's a master in politics. He knows how to play the game. He will likely continue till the 8 years. Those northerners became powerful because the southerners allowed them to use the government apparatus for so long. I blame the oil rich regions that can't even use their resources to determine who becomes the president. |

Is it because of the last election or it has been so since 1999 when democracy returned?

I dont understand you. We have never united for a common purpose because anytime we're about to do, tribalism is thrown in and division comes in and scatters everything. We cannot keep repeating it over again. That one is our biggest hopelessness and only restructuring to a CONFEDERATION or outright separation can solve this ElSudani: What is hopeless is the unbridled bigotry and hatred some Nigerians have for each other. |
