Phones / Re: Help Me In Choosing Between Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G And Apple Iphone 13 Pro by Dmoyes23(m): 3:35pm On Jan 24, 2022
As you would expect from an Apple product, the iPhone 12 is beautifully crafted, meticulously engineered, and relentlessly efficient. This is the phone Apple designs for the typical phone user. As such, it does everything well and excels at a few things. Software integration is seamless. No phone matches the iPhone for efficient software use. While people will ding the phones for their RAM, the truth is, iPhones simply do not require the RAM other phones do. This phone will run as much as you want to throw at it and never falter. If you are looking for social media, browsing, email, messaging, photography, and media consumption, the iPhone is above average in every one of those areas. What's more, you can rest assured Apple will support the phone for years and it will be a long time before the phone feels the least "outdated". The only issues I've found with the phone? The battery is only above average. If you press the phone with video consumption, heavy gameplay, or heavy social media consumption, you will need a top off before the end of the day. Also, its about time iMessage was able to text non iPhones on wifi. There is simply no good reason Apple doesn't do this, and it would be very useful in low service areas where users may be completely dependent on wifi. Besides that, when compared to other phones, as a daily driver from 2020, the iPhone simply has no peers. As I said, it does everything well!

Sports / Sergio Aguero: Barcelona's Former Man City Striker Set To Announce Retirement by Dmoyes23(m): 5:09pm On Dec 13, 2021
Sergio Aguero is set to announce his retirement on Wednesday less than six months after joining Barcelona, reports Guillem Balague.
The 33-year-old has struggled with injuries and health problems since moving to Spain, making only five appearances for the Catalan side.
In his final game, on 30 October, he was substituted and taken to hospital after experiencing "chest discomfort".
Aguero finishes his career with 427 goals in 786 games.
While Aguero's time at Barcelona has not gone to plan, there can be no doubting his status as one of the foremost strikers of the 21st Century.
After starting out with Independiente in Argentina, he moved to Atletico Madrid, winning the Europa League in 2010 and scoring 101 goals in 234 appearances.
That record attracted the interest of an upwardly mobile Manchester City, who paid a reported £38m to bring him to Etihad Stadium. He would go on to become a club and Premier League legend during a 10-year spell in England.
Aguero left City in the summer having broken their all-time scoring record, with 260 goals in 390 games, including 16 hat-tricks.
He is the highest-scoring overseas player in Premier League history with 184 goals, nine more than France and Arsenal great Thierry Henry.
Only Alan Shearer (260), Wayne Rooney (208) and Andrew Cole (187) have scored more in the competition.
But no-one has a better minutes-per-goal record than Aguero in the Premier League. He averaged a goal every 107.9 minutes. Of players who have scored more than 15 goals, Henry is next on the list with one every 121.8 minutes.
The Argentine is also responsible for arguably the Premier League's most iconic moment, scoring with virtually the last kick of the 2011-12 season to seal a victory over Queens Park Rangers that earned Manchester City a first top-flight title since 1968 and denied fierce rivals Manchester United by virtue of goal difference.
He would go on to win five Premier League titles, one FA Cup and six League Cups during his time in England.
A sad end with Barcelona
Aguero's great friendship with compatriot Lionel Messi meant a move to Barcelona was an attractive one after it became clear he would be allowed to leave Manchester City.
He had won over City boss Pep Guardiola, who initially had concerns about the striker's ability to fit into his style of play, but injuries limited Aguero's playing time during his final season at Etihad Stadium.
But the switch to Barcelona went badly from the start. The club's financial problems meant there were problems registering their new signings, including Aguero.
And those same issues led to the departure of Messi to Paris St-Germain.
When Aguero was eventually registered, he suffered a calf injury that kept him out until October.
He scored a 90th-minute consolation in his only El Clasico appearance against Real Madrid, on 24 October, and three days later made his first start for the club.
But his withdrawal against Alaves on 30 October was followed by a "cardiac exam" and Aguero said on social media he would follow doctors' advice in making a decision about his playing future.
He said he would take 90 days to assess his progress, with reports suggesting he had been diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia - an irregular heartbeat.
But his decision, to be announced this week, has come sooner than expected.
His final contribution for Argentina came at the summer's Copa America, a substitute appearance in the quarter-final victory over Ecuador as La Albiceleste went on to win the trophy for the first time in 28 years.
Car Talk / Re: Benz C300 Assessment & Review by Dmoyes23(m): 6:06pm On Jul 19, 2021
It’s a classic car, it’s very cool but very expensive to maintain, if this is your first car, better to go for a Toyota because it’s cost effective and efficient for you,
To own a Benz, you must pay attention to envy detail of the car and have a good sound mechanic, the car is not for movement to everywhere so you have to be ready to restrict your movement if you get this else you will be spending excess money monthly or bimonthly,

Hope this is fine!

RIP dear, May God grant her family fortitude to bear this loss, Its a pity, and disheartening.

Before people start jumping into conclusions about her dragging with the robbers, we should ask our selves three questions

1: Who witnessed this?
2: Do you know if she identified the robbers and they silenced her for that?
3: Do you know robbers can still shoot without you struggling with them

Onlookers dont sit to watch robbers fire gunshots and wait, everybody runs for safety and possibly away from attack, so let's not be quick to call her a fool, by just this mere report, people give out false stories just to have what to say about a report, Its so painful and sad having to see her go like this.

Lets pray God fights for her and bring those guys to face justice

Crime / Hotel Attendant Stabs Guest To Death Over N1,200 by Dmoyes23(m): 12:32am On Feb 29, 2020
An attendant at a makeshift inn in Whitesand, Ijora-Badia area of Lagos State, Emmanuel Ben, has been taken to police custody for alleged murder of a customer identified only as White London.

Ben reportedly stabbed the 25-year-old man with a knife during an argument over N1, 200.

City Round learnt that White London had gone to the inn around 11am on February 8 with his lover to have fun and was charged N1,200 for a room.

He reportedly agreed and promised to settle the bill when he returned from the room with the lover.

Our correspondent gathered that about an hour after, White London emerged from the room but refused to pay for the service as agreed, leading to an argument between him and the attendant.

They allegedly slugged it out with each other during which 21-year-old Emmanuel knifed him in the stomach.

A resident of the area, who identified himself simply as George, said the incident caused a commotion in the neighbourhood and a distress call was put across to the police from the Ijora Division.

He said White London bled to death at the spot before policemen from the Ijora Division arrived at the scene.

“Many people were woken up by the uproar from the scene. I didn’t come out because it was too late and I would not want to be caught up in the fracas. I peeped outside from my window and I could hear, ‘oti ku’ (He is dead). Some minutes later, some policemen arrived in their van.

“It was the following morning I knew what led to the fight. I learnt the man (White London) came to the inn with his girlfriend and when they were done, he refused to pay for the service. The attendant charged him N1, 200 but he was not willing to pay. He (Ben) stabbed him while they were fighting.”

But a resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said White London was haggling with Ben over the bill when the fight ensued.

“It was not as if the man did not want to pay for the service but he wanted to have a cut from the N1, 200 the attendant demanded. The attendant declined and that was when the argument started.

“Immediately the incident happened, the attendant wanted to flee but he was held by some vigilance men who handed him over to the police. The deceased was not a resident there but many people knew him as White London,” the resident recalled, adding that the hotel had been shut.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bala Elkana, who confirmed the incident, stated that the corpse had been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

He said, “At attendant at a hotel in a shanty in White Sand, Ijora-Badia, stabbed a guest popularly known as White London to death with a knife. The misunderstanding was caused by non-payment of N1, 200 lodging fee by the deceased whose real name is still unknown.

“The police have arrested the suspect and the knife reportedly used for the crime was recovered at the scene. Investigation is ongoing.”

Sports / Arsenal Sign Cedric Soares From Southampton by Dmoyes23(m): 1:28pm On Jan 31, 2020
The Gunners have confirmed their second new addition of the January transfer window, with the Portugal international right-back arriving on loan.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Cedric Soares from Southampton.
The right-back has arrived on loan until the end of the season, when his current deal with the Saints will expire. Arsenal have an option included which could then see them hand the Portugal international a four-year contract in the summer.
Cedric becomes the Gunners’ second new addition of the transfer window, following on from the arrival of Spanish centre-back Pablo Mari, who joined on loan from Flamengo.

Arsenal have paid Southampton a loan fee of just under £1 million for the 28-year-old and will cover his wages for the rest of the campaign, which are believed to be around £65,000 per week.
Speaking about his move to Emirates Stadium, Cedric said: "It's a dream come true being here, and being able to play for Arsenal is unreal.
"Arsenal is a top team. They are a very, very good club, with fantastic fans as well. They are known to be so well supported and for me, it's a pleasure to be here.
"Like I said, it's a dream come true because I always thought about coming here and imagined it, and seeing it happen is really amazing."

The addition of a new right-back will be a boost for Mikel Arteta, who doesn't have a like-for-like replacement for Hector Bellerin in his squad.
He has used Ainsley Maitland-Niles, a natural central midfielder, in that role at times while Calum Chambers would have been an option, but he has been ruled out for nine months having ruptured the cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Cedric will also bring some versatility to Arteta’s squad, as he can also operate on the left side of a back four.
“Cedric is a defender with good experience of the Premier League, and of course at international level," commented Arsenal's technical director Edu.
"He is another strong addition to our defensive unit who will provide our squad with quality. I know he is a player who plays with absolute full commitment and energy.

We are all looking forward to going into the last stages of the season with Cedric as part of the club.”
Arsenal fans may have to wait a little bit longer to see their new signing in action, however, as he is currently suffering from a knee problem which is expected to keep him sidelined for another three weeks.
Arteta’s side face Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday before heading to Dubai for a mid-season break. They will return to action on Sunday, February 16 when Newcastle United visit Emirates Stadium.

Politics / BREAKING NEWS: Obasanjo’s Coalition Adopts ADC As Political Party by Dmoyes23(m): 7:55pm On May 10, 2018
A former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, may have quit the Coalition for Nigeria Movement as the movement has adopted a political party, African Democratic Congress, to realise its dream of a new Nigeria.

He gave this hint on Thursday evening when he addressed the press at his presidential library home in Abeokuta.

In a speech he titled ‘My treatise for future of democracy and development in Nigeria’, Obasanjo said, “Let me start by welcoming and commending the emergence of a renewed and reinvigorated African Democratic Congress, ADC, as a political party.

“Since the inception of Coalition for Nigeria Movement, CNM, many of the sixty-eight registered political parties had contacted and consulted with the Movement on coming together and working together.

“The leadership of the Movement, after detailed examination, wide consultation and bearing in mind the orientation, policies and direction of the Movement, have agreed to adopt ADC as its platform to work with others for bringing about desirable change in the Nigeria polity and governance.”
