I was before a Mirror this Morning, checking myself out before my Dad's small radio broke the fishy-flashy too much. "One of the abducted Dapchi girls was not released for refusing to convert to Islam." I quickly ran to the dinning room to inform my parents of the news. What kind of Faith is this? A small girl of that age prefers another minute in the Jungle for the sake of a Nazaren who refused to prevent her abduction in the first place? Does she not have a boyfriend she's missed so much? Couldn't she have spoken from her lips? She could have accepted to wear the hijab and do away with it on getting home. Why didn't she accept Islam in their presence and denounce it on seeing her parents, then ask her Jesus for pardon? Afterall, the Crucified son of Mary, she believes in, forgives easily. So, I was told. Is she too young to know she might not return? She might be killed just like her fore-fathers in the faith and heaven will not fall. She could be crucified like Peter or burnt alive like Polycarp. She could be severely scourged like Agrippina. What a Poor little girl!

I was about to pray the 3pm divine Mercy prayer for Leah, when I remembered the 70 A.D fate of Jerusalem. The architects of the greatest evil, the execution of the Son of God, thought they were wise and powerful. Little did they know that nemesis would catch them up. Jesus Christ warned. He warned them of the doom they were preparing for themselves. He told them there would be an aftermath. Only the discerning knew what he meant, when the Lord told the daughters of Jerusalem, "Do not weep for me, but for yourselves and your Children." Jerusalem later regretted. Her Mothers Cried. Her daughters lamented. Her Sons caused the days of their birth.They told the mountain "please fall on us" and the hills "please cover us. Yes, do not Cry for Leah Sheribu, but for the perpetrators of this evil. Weep for everyone involved in her abduction and detainment. Weep! Weep!! For Buhari if he knows anything about this. Weep! Weep!! For Jonathan if he is part of this in any way.Weep for the Dapchi villagers who encouraged Terrorists with their chants of "Holy Warriors." Weep for CAN if she would not act fast. Weep for the right thinking Muslims, if they wouldn't do nothing. Weep for everyone who has consciously brought Nigeria to this pitiful state. They might ask, "Why weep for us?" Tell them, Pontius Pilate committed Suicide.

FG SHOULD NEGOTIATE RELEASE OF CHRISTIAN GIRL



Boko Haram insurgents yesterday returned 104 out of the 110 girls abducted on 19thFebruary, 2018. Five of them had reportedly died while one, Leah Sherubu, was not released. According to Khadija Grema, one of the freed girls, Leah was not released because she is a Christian and she refused to put on hijab or convert.





The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) condemns Boko Haram’s attempt to compel Leah to use hijab. Equally reprehensible is the attempt to force her to convert to Islam.





We reiterate for the umpteenth time that Boko Haram’s doctrine is heretical and its methods stand in contradistinction to those of pristine Islam. The Glorious Qur’an asserts that there is no compulsion in Islam (2:256). It says Allah himself could have made the whole mankind Muslims if He had wished (11:118). It forbids forceful conversion or punishment of non-Muslims by Muslims and limits the role of Muslims to admonitions alone (lasta alayhinm bimusaytirin 88: 21 – 24). Furthermore, it declares that each shall have the right to follow his or her religion (lakunm diinukunm wa liya diin 109:1 – 6).





Once again we reject Boko Haram as an Islamic group. We urge the leadership and members of the group to re-examine its ideological base. Leah Sherubu must be set free because the basis for holding her after setting her schoolmates free is faulty and unIslamic.





We invite the Federal Government (FG) to widen the scope of dialogue with Boko Haram by incorporating doctrinal issues. Islamic scholars should be involved in such discussions with the insurgents. This process is sine qua non for the deradicalisation of Boko Haram. Military defeat of Boko Haram alone amounts to a pyrrhic victory without ideological re-engineering.





We charge (FG) to go back to the negotiation table in order to secure the release of the only Christian girl among the Dapchi girls who is being held back by the insurgents. Nigerians have been united in their prayers for the release of the Dapchi girls. FG should note that Boko Haram is not as daft as many people think. By withholding the Christian girl, they seek to divide Nigerians once again along religious lines.





MURIC expresses solidarity with the parents of Leah Sherubu, the Christian girl in captivity. Our hearts are heavy with grief over her plight. We salute her courage. Shame on Boko Haram for oppressing a lone, vulnerable and helpless girl. Shame on all those who suppress freedom of worship. We appeal to Nigerians to invoke special prayers in the mosques and churches for this Christian girl who had the courage to stare her oppressors in the face. We should also continue to pray for the remaining Chibok girls.





As we round up, we repeat our exhortation to the Nigerian authorities: to set Leah Sherubu free is a task that must be done.

Peter Omobuwa, a corporal of the Nigerian Army, opened fire on one IF Ibiama, a captain, in Banki local government area of Borno state on Sunday.

According to a security source, the incident occurred around 9:13 pm.

The source said officer who suffered bullet wounds was taken the 21 Brigade Medical Center, while the soldier was detained.

The sources did not disclose what transpired between the two personnel.

“A junior officer with service number N/12897 open fired at the senior officer with service number 02NA/52/2588. The junior officer was disarmed and stabilised our detention facility,” the source said.

He added that a military panel was set up to investigate the matter, adding that findings will be made public within one week.

Sani Usman, army spokesman, could not be reached at the time of filing this report.

Pls experienced parents in the house especially Mums, my baby is 9 months old. We just introduced him to cereals but the trouble is he refuses to eat it. We have tried Pap, that one is even worse.
I have to pin his hands and legs, while the Mum tries to force his mouth open just to get a spoonful into his mouth, that is if she can get past the teeth that he won't open. And after all these, he will not swallow, he will just spit everything out and we are back to square one. And the way he cries.........damn
We tried closing his nostrils and mouth to force him to swallow, hmmm, I will never try it again. Continuing only on breast milk is no longer an option cos it doesn't fill him anymore. Pls suggestions
